We took our mother here on opening night for her birthday celebration. The parking wasn't terrible but the entry booth/metal detector was chaotic to say the least. Nearly every person set the metal detectors off. But they did nothing to check anyone. The maze was fun. But apparently the passports are only for VIP ticket holders so my niblings felt left out. The lights are very well done and pretty The drink stations are understaffed. The poor guy making drinks was slammed. There aren't trash cans to dispose of the cups. So people stuff their trash in every corner. The biggest gripe is the lack of bathrooms and emergency exits. When your little nephew needs to go to the bathroom and you're in the middle of the maze, you're screwed. There should be easy exits and bathroom access. It was nearly a mile walk to the building with the bathrooms. Additionally there should be markers or identifiers to find people. It was like Marco polo in there. Also the big pieces should have assistants waiting to help with queues. People are jerks and skip others. Would I recommend it? Maybe? But not if you have older or younger family members. read more

My family and I were thinking of going to the rodeo or this. I'm glad we chose this. The lights were amazing. We also got some snacks here like pretzels and hot coco. This was a great way to take pictures with the family during this time of season. There were plenty of people but enough room not to feel like we were shoulder to shoulder. I visited for the first time last night and had a great time! I learned that it was sponsored by Hallmark. They had all kinds of shops and food stands. My favorite was the taco truck as well as the French crepes truck. We of course took many pictures by the lights and got to try ice skating. The worst coordination of an event I've ever seen. You have to pay $15 to park and then they literally have you park several miles from the entrance in Siberia (in a poorly lit and poorly paved rarely used parking lot). Then they expect women and children and families and people with disabilities to walk the several miles with no security or police around for safety and 1-2 shuttles running that can only hold 20 people at a time. By the time you actually get to the entrance, you've lost your patience and your Christmas spirit. Getting inside is no better. Security, if you want to call them that, are barely coordinating the flow of people. We saw one security guard sneezing all over the place without covering his mouth. After the security checkpoint, there is no coordination of checking tickets. We could have easily walked in without someone checking or scanning our tickets. The event itself is also disappointing. If you have been to Enchant in previous years In Arlington, this one is sure to leave you less than thrilled. A good majority of the lights were out. The displays were blah and repetitive. Mostly white trees and white reindeer and more white trees. Beyond disappointed with this event from beginning to end. This is Dallas. We can do Christmas in a more organized and enjoyable way and we do. Save your money and your time and go to one of the other many far more organized holiday events in DFW. read more

Last night was the worse experience here, the amount of money spent was insane. 5 adults and two kids. Parking was a nightmare and lines for a shuttle to take us to the places were crazy long. Workers driving golf carts we're taking advantage of the lines and charging $20 extra bucks to take people to the place. $300 for tickets were wasted on a very disorganized and overcharged event. Overcrowded and exhausting experience for adults and kids. Terrible and expensive 2 hours ever! Such a magical feeling when you're in the light maze! We spent most of our time there and enjoyed a show with beautiful professional carolers. We didn't get to enjoy ice skating but my sisters said it was hard to skate because the ice wasn't cleaned when they went. We also didn't see the Santa show due to time. There's unique vendors for shopping and even Build a Bear. The food trucks were fast and lines weren't long. I would go again on Christmas Eve. It felt like we were in a Hallmark Christmas movie. Went on a Friday night. Arrived at the gate for parking around 7:25pm. Parking was good with many attendants this night. However, the walk all the way to the front of the event is very far. Luckily, they have shuttles and golf carts that were moving fairly quickly to take families to the entry. We were inside the event by 8:00pm. Beautiful lights at Enchant, very clean grounds. So many cute photo op spots within the maze. They also have an ice skating trail (extra $). In my opinion, a bit over priced for the limited amount of things to do. I wish I had read the reviews before spending $128 on tickets & parking. I really wanted to be able to give 4 stars, but unfortunately I have to echo much of what was said by others who attended. We went on a Saturday night at the 7:30-8:30 time window. First, the entrance at gate 13 was very confusing. And there are little to no lights everywhere along the way, so it's super hard to see where exactly to go. The guy who directed us was real nice though, as was the lady who checked my ticket for my pre-paid parking and gave us our parking pass. The lines to get in were fairly long, and not well marked. The metal detectors were a joke, everyone was beeping, but no checks were being done. The bag checks were a joke too. There are no lights , and the bag checkers do not have flashlights, so they're pretty much checking blindly. The lady who checked my bag was real nice though. Once inside, some of the signage was real small so you couldn't see what you were walking towards until you were right up to it. The drink stands were out of most drinks, the hot cocoa was scalding, burned my tongue, threw it away. My husband had the Hallmark Jingle Cabernet Sauvignon, and he said it was really good. Pretzel was way too hot, and tasteless. Waste of money. A couple of the food stands/ trucks lines were so long we were afraid if we stood in line they'd run out of food before we got to the front. Enchant Dallas was not what it was years ago when it was at ranger stadium. This year was so unorganized, way overpriced, way to crowded, no snow (except at entrance) the skating rink was closed for over 30 minutes, the metal detectors are a joke, everyone was making them beep but noone cared. I have a mixed reviews on this experience. We enjoyed it somewhat. Let me high the major point to make it simple... The cost was slightly higher than the experience. We probably won't try it again as the interactive aspect was slightly under par. The best piece was the lights on the ground. This is always where you will find the majority of the parents but it was cold after while and the limited vendors in this are made the lines long for hot coco. Also note: our biggest negative was the concession stands appear to be one vendor but in fact we're separate so you stand in one line for hot coco and then have to get in the other for warm food which you don't find out until you see at the window only to switch lines and wait all over. This is highly contributed to 2 stars! They need better signage. The maze was cool until you couldn't figure out how to get out. They may need more staffing to assist. All the food we tried was good so no complaints on this. It's similar to fair food but we liked it has plenty of options. We also looked at the vendors selling items and the cost range was wide so I feel like everyone will find something in their price point which I thought was cool. We bought from a body care stand and I'll say... the products have been good!!! All in all.... It was okay! So disappointed! My wife and I have attended Enchant the past few years when it was held a Globe Life and it was pretty amazing. This is year they decided to move to Fair Park for some reason and it was the complete opposite of amazing. Parking: It seems as if the coordinators of Enchant completely left out parking. What a complete mess. For the ridiculous $15 parking charge, we were able to find a spot that was extremely far, unsafe and treacherous. What a bargain! I have a bad back and can't walk far distances but I really felt bad for the elderly lady who was walking with a cane and had to make the huge trek to the front entrance. There were a few shuttles that were picking people up about half the distance to the park(not sure why they did not plan for more). Note: If you are concerned about getting Covid, the shuttle may not be the best option for you. Enchant: When we finally made it to the gate from our parking spot in San Antonio, we were greeted with come promise. To our right, was the skating rink which has always been a staple of the Enchant experience. The main building which included tons of food vendors was pretty nice. The ceilings were decorated with white lights which made for a nice classy picture. Once you entered the actual outdoor light park, the disappointment started to set in.There were tons of lights that were out. How are there lights out on Day1?The light displays were so repetitive. They had each of the reindeer placed around the park but all slightly different poses and covered with white lights. Couldn't they have had each reindeer displayed with different colors? The walls around the park were filled with lights but didn't make sense. They had a whole series of walls with with lights and then a random wall with colored lights. Why didn't they just have an entire section dedicated to colored lights? Last year's event had several cool light displays such as the Texas boot, the swinging moons, the lighted gifts, the colored ornaments etc. This year they had reindeer, white lights and a giant wedding ring. That's was it. Service: On our way back to the car I had asked one of the ladies driving the golf cart if she could drive me to my car. I told her that I have a bad back and that I can't walk far distances. She told me that I needed to wait on line for the shuttle which was like 5 miles long. I begged her to drive me and she said it was not possible. Meanwhile, she sat in her golf cart talking with one of the security guards the entire time we were in line for the shuttle. Compassionate employee of the year right there! Final thought: Enchant is not worth the money(we spent $80 for the two of us). There are tons of Christmassy things going on around Dallas that are worth the money and that are safer. This year was just about making as much money as possible. Parking was fine we showed up an hour early so had no trouble, but people arriving later had to park very very far away. This was our first time coming to enchant. Walking up the entrance seemed a bit lacking, but thought it would get better as the sun set which it did, being fair. I paid for VIP tickets. There were 4 entrances to the event and only one of them was VIP, and it was slower moving. If the corded barrier wasn't in the way we could have gone through the regular ones entrance which had no one waiting. Once we got inside,we were limited to only the entrance area until 5:30 on the nose, organized so that's promising. It didn't last. First to see Santa, he was lovely, pictures were $60 or $90 and we weren't given the option to take our own despite the website saying we could. We bought the $90 otherwise we would have gotten one picture, whatever some may think that too expensive others not. Next the food was fair food, overpriced considering what we paid to get in, but these are 3rd party vendors so.. again understandable. We walked into the maze as it got dark and it's not a maze.. it's a gallery of light displays, and not impressive for anyone over the age of 6. I've seem better work done in small town free displays and expected more from something with the Hallmark branding. We waited around until our designated time to ice skate at 7, which we then found out the skate people didn't care about reservations (VIP had never mattered all night). It was obvious given the extreme overcrowding on the ice that there was no oversight, and to compound the problem during our "dedicated time" they decided to zamboni the ice for 20 minutes instead of scheduling that in around people's reservations. Some of the "elves" we're entertaining/singing/tap fancing and we're atrociously bad, comically horribly bad, the immediate 3 X "why are you here" bad. All in all, this experience would have been worth $20 tickets to enter. It was crowded, overpriced, and not even slightly enjoyable or any sort of professional polished experience I expected and paid for. Over priced. The maze is nice but it is the only feature besides ice skating. The rest is overpriced merchandise and food and alcohol. We were there on a Sunday and many people were drunk. The lines were outrageous for anything...including the bathrooms. We stayed about an hour. If you are interested in taking a few cool pics for this price, then it is probably worth it. If you are looking for a fun evening...nope. Not enough places to sit down either. I may never watch the hallmark channel again in protest. I may be biased since I was with a large group of 12. Should be 0 stars for poor organization! I have been in traffic for over two hours trying to park! There were no directions online regarding what lot to park in, so I have had the misfortune of driving all the way around fair park trying to get to the correct area. Not only that but the other events at the park reached out for the help of the city and PD for support directing traffic but the Enchant side of the park is truly the wild west. If I could turn around- I would. Complexly inefficient and ridiculous! If you do go, plan a few hours to park or take DART. After finally getting into the event, the parking situation didn't improve much. There were minimal staff, and the one I encountered was rude. The parking lot was one LONG Single file line (as opposed to multiple lanes of parking) which left for another long wait and a pretty substantial walk into the event once we did park. The event itself was beautiful but much smaller than it's predecessors in Arlington. It took just over an hour to do the maze, and visit the few booths that were open (most of which had wildly long lines too) despite the hefty price tag. Overall, I left stressed out instead of Merry. I'd say other events around the city would give you a much better experience. read more

I had very high hopes from all the incredible photos I have seen. However the photos are very misleading. For one, online it seems to have way more Christmas lights when in reality there is a small maze of trees and walls of lights, large reindeer, and a large tree. It was pretty don't get me wrong but I've been to way smaller and cheaper light exhibits that put Enchanted to shame. The ice skating was also extremely misleading. "Ice skating trail through the lights" is what was advertised. What it really was is a donut shaped rink that doesn't go anywhere. I was expecting to ice skate through the lights. We paid a ton for admission, ice skating, and the polar bar only to be pretty disappointed and ripped off feeling. The polar bar was extremely short and not worth it at all. Parking was odd, you would think such a large event would have more shuttles going back and forth. It was as if they found anything with wheels and said "go pick up people" golf carts, shuttles, bikes, you name it. Very strange. And then they dropped you off around the block from the entrance.... If I wanted to walk, I would've walked. Anyways, it was still fun and we made the most of it. I just wouldn't go back and wouldn't suggest going to anyone. read more

Parking nightmare. I can't believe I paid for parking only to wait nearly an hour just to park another 45 minutes for a shuttle, then in line again to enter the event. Take the dart if you can. If you can't, just don't go. It overshadows the rest of the trip, especially once you leave, exhausted from the mayhem only to realize you've got to wait EVEN LONGER to get a shuttle back to the car and out of the lot. Website says to expect to be at the event for a couple of hours but they FAILED to mention it's half a day just to navigate the parking lot. Went for Christmas cheer and came home feeling like Grinches! Vendor booth lines also longer than expected- waited 45 minutes for tacos. Besides walking a mile after already paying for parking prior to arrival the place was nice for the whole family. They have an array of vendors, lights, food. Not so much with the drinks, they ran out of the lightbulbs and we walked to every tent to get a lightbulb drink and it was a dub. We went ice skating on "the Trail" and it was just an eccentric oval with lights in the middle and Texans falling everywhere on the ice. They had a Peruvian vendor selling overpriced alpaca hats. A vendor called Little Egypt selling fake jewelry that turns your skin green. The funnel cakes weren't cheap either ($11???) but what can you expect coming to Fair Park? $160+ for three people included parking, ice skating, and tickets to enter. The lights were nice and even on Christmas Day it wasn't crazy packed at 7:30pm so I was content. read more

Zero Stars. Zero. Parking is chaotic. The email will tell you a car service drop off is one location but once there they tell you another gate. We parked and saw a huge line. hUGE. Paid for VIP so I walked around the line towards the front, thinking there is a different section for VIP. There wasn't. Everyone had to wait in the same long line. At this point the line clearly was over an hour wait.. So... Technically, we never even saw Enchant, we just went back to our car service and left. I spent over $300 on these tickets. It's totally worthless. Someone is going to get hurt with the poor lighting and unorganization. The organizers are riding on borrowed time.. I'd love my money back but I can't imagine anyone in the management cares read more

What a great way to make merry memories! We were a little nervous after purchasing tickets THEN reading the reviews on here...turns out they were unfounded...some people just like to complain I guess? We had a group of seven, 5 adults and 2 teenagers and got there a little after 6:30, for context, but there were groups of all ages and sizes there having a good time. Is it crowded? Yes. Do you have to wait in line for concessions? Yes. Of course. It is a kick ass event. Think of it as going to a ballgame or concert. There are two gate entrances at Fair Park for parking...neither is close to the event on the map BUT we went in gate 2 and basically we followed the cones and line of cars across the park to a parking lot that was right outside the entrance. (It was super easy and not confusing.) I suspect gate 13 will do the same. Again, think of it as having a parking pass at an arena. You are close, but you're not parking outside the front door. Two last notes on parking - do not type "fair park gate 2" into your GPS like I did, use the address they send you. It's more accurate although still the gate entrance was on the fair park side of the road even though the address given made it look like the parking was across the street. Secondly, we had two cars and, since we were on a single order, we were worried that if we weren't together in line going in we would have trouble. I think if you're separated by a few cars it's not a big deal and probably as long as you send the QR code to the other driver you will likely be fine. In the future they would be smart to make each ticket and parking pass its own code that can be added and shared by digital wallet, but that's not how they do it as of 2022. (Just one QR code for everything.) Anyway...We walked up and there was a crowd of people going through metal detectors. Not sure but I'd say they had 6-8 lines going. After security they scan your QR code and you're in. Took us about 10 minutes to park and get in. Once inside there is a map that gives you a lay of the land. The event itself is almost entirely outdoors, except for a makeshift bar area that's 21 and up and the Santa area. There are portable toilets close by or there is a building with toilets a little farther. A lot of people are using them, from what I heard they're adequate but it's not buccees. We waited in line for hot chocolate, the concession stand had run out but was making more - about a 15 minute wait. Worked out because we waited on the hot chocolate while others used the bathroom. Timing worked out then we hit the maze. The maze is why you go. The lights are amazing and it's so fun to walk around and see everything. There are tons of lit topiaries, Christmas trees, presents, ornaments, and a huge Christmas tree that was way cooler up close than I thought it would be. There is also a little bit of scavenging activity you can do, they give you a passport with specific light features listed (teddy bear, pony, duckie, etc.) At each feature there is a stamp you can use on your passport. We weren't really looking for them but came across 6 of the 8 features. Also, someone mentioned there are no trash cans...not true, just be patient and you will see them, who wants garbage cans around every turn getting in your pictures? They are there if you look for them and are patient. There is an ice skating rink, we didn't do that, it looked more like an ice skating path through some lights. There is also a makeshift balcony / over look you can have a photo taken at. You can take your own. They also have a camera setup that will send you a photo you can choose to purchase. Honestly for the price, I feel like that should have been included, but (again) like a concert or game, the extras cost extra. In all we spent about two hours there and had a blast seeing the lights, taking photos and strolling around. If you're on the fence I would recommend it, just take your time and enjoy the time together. Giving this 4-star experience 5 stars to balance the really negative reviews on here. read more

Do not go to this place! Place just one big money scam, we went and paid for priority parking to find out it was same parking as everybody else, it was like 30 minute walk so we didn't even go, tried to get refund I've emailed them 20 times and they just gave up on responding to me so they have the best customer service out there, probably gunna report them to the business bureau. Let's help them out by just not buying there tickets anymore. Way way way over crowded. So many people it ruins the experience. We timed the line from entering it and it took 51 mins to get to the metal detectors. Then the metal detectors were beeping everywhere and no one cared. After waiting in line to get in we waited another 20 mins in line to use the restroom and to order any food or drink items. The lights are very pretty but you cannot enjoy them because there are just so many people that you bump into someone with each step and there is no way to even get a picture without strangers in it. They really need to cut ticket sales off at a certain capacity because it's so crowded it ruins the magic of the lights. Crowd was literally worse than when I went to Disney World for Christmas years ago. The honest best part was the young country music artist couple singing inside the Tipsy Tree!! It's a Christmas State Fair!! Absolutely not worth it, you have to park miles away, the address they email you takes you to a train track in across the street from Fair Paarl. Then you have to take a shuttle to a sidewalk then walk to the front of the gate. The shuttle it organized but there is a minimum wait of 20-30 minutes. Then you walk in they have food stands and little shops, the whole thing is a 10 minute maze. The lights are basic, there is not enough walkway and so you can't take any pictures because there are people everywhere. It's a complete waste of money, I wish they would have used the money they spend on marketing on more lights. read more

VERY rude staff. We were yelled at several times for just taking pictures. We went ice skating once, then tried to return after we had went and ate dinner, only to be told we cannot do that (in a very rude way. We were yelled at and degraded in front of the whole VIP line). For $180, I was very disappointed with VIP, and the staff. If you ask me, I'd tell you it's a waste of money and time. I wish I could rate the parking and the actual event separately. The event itself I'd rate 4 stars. The maze and ice skating rink are amazing. Our son really enjoyed the fake snow as well. We were excited to buy one of the lightbulb cocktails but they were sold out...we thought it was strange since we arrived at 5:00. Our son was excited to get hot chocolate but they were out of it as well. These were minor letdowns though...overall our son had a blast. The parking is definitely a 1 star. Looking at previous reviews, it seems like they've tried to improve...there was a ton of staff and everyone was super friendly. However, there's a bottleneck at the very end, once you finally get to park. There was one staff member telling each person where to park....one-by-one. Some people had trouble parking in the tight spots so this made the wait time longer. Once you park, you can either walk to the event (about 1 mile) or take a shuttle. Since we got there early, there wasn't a wait for the shuttle. But as we were leaving, we noticed the line for the shuttle was crazy long. If you decide to go, I suggest going early and being patient. Be kind to the staff as well...they're trying to do their best in a situation that is out of their control. read more

Terrible customer service. Enchant decided to close the ice skating because it was raining, and they closed due to safety conditions. They decided to close. I paid for that. My family was there and ready to skate. Enchant refuses to refund my family and sent me the stupid automatic message about refund policy. We were there with raining. I emailed customer service asking for a refund for the event. They sent a link to rebook for a different day but considering that there are still an influx of horrible reviews about parking, I genuinely don't want to go through the experience again. Don't waste your money. The prices are outrageous. The lines are even worse. We paid for valet. There was a line to drop off and pick up your car. We also paid for VIP. That did absolutely nothing as we still had to wait in horrific lines inside the park. Ice skating was over crowded. Food and drinks are average and way overpriced. Overall, just save your money and find somewhere else to look at Christmas lights. read more

Don't bother to go this year. Last year almost the entire park was decorated with Christmas lights and the atmosphere was truly festive. This year for the same price you only get a walk through the maze which was nothing extraordinary compared to last year. Then there is confusion about where rideshare passengers should be dropped off or picked up. The website says Gate 6 but it's actually Gate 2 and Uber/Lyft will never find your pick-up spot. We almost froze waiting and Enchant staff was not helpful at all. read more

We drove 3.5 hours to make our arrival window on our ticket at 4:30 PM. We, along with approx. 50 families were at the gate starting at 4:30 PM only to be told they are now opening the gate at 5:30 PM. No email or text letting any of us know they pushed the time to open an hour later. This place is over crowded for such a small place, drink and food lines taking anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour just to order. The staff working were extremely rude (there were a few that had the Christmas spirit, but very minimal). Restrooms were way off the path and set up was very disorganize. This was our first time and Last time! Hallmark should be ashamed of how Dallas, Texas represented. Don't waste your money at Enchant! It is anything but enchanted! Spend your money and go to the Gaylord in Grapevine, Texas! read more

I want to say right off that the Enchant Dallas itself was wonderful. I enjoyed all the displays. When I got up on the raised platform that overlooks the whole park, it was breathtaking and I would go again. Now for the bad part: there was no clear supervision as to how to enter the event. Meaning, there were no poles with ropes or something of that nature. No signs that designated where to stand in line. I know this sounds trite but hear me out. When we arrived there at first was a single file line. A very long single file line. It went along ok for about 30 minutes until all of a sudden a very large crowd of people came and just rushed in right passed all of us who had waited for so long. Finally, an officer came and told the people that if they have VIP tickets then they may go ahead but if they did not then go down to the back of the line. Some people had VIP, some looked at the officer dumbfounded, and some did not care. After the officer left, the mass entrance continued. As we get about 3/4 of the way to the entrance we noticed that a lot of people were getting in front of us again. We had enough and started voicing our displeasure and I guess finally someone from the event came over to see what the matter was. We all told the person what was going on and she found that all those people were being told that if they did not have bags, purses, and such they could go to the express lane. The trouble is that we were all in the express lane--all the people who by then had waited 40 minutes or so. And no, none of us had bags or purses to be checked. We were there legitimately. Yet, no one moved. Did we get in? Yes. Did we have a good time? Yes. But why in the world would you have an event that large and not direct people? Why would you not have physical markers to direct people into the correct lines and keep it orderly? Since I bought tickets for several family members I paid a high three digit amount of money. We also paid ridiculous amounts of money on refreshments. I think the least that could be done is have good, clear, line supervision. That's all. Just clear line supervision to avoid these problems. read more
