Enchanted Springs Ranch is located on Hwy 46 just west of Boerne. It is only a private event space now although at one time it was open as a tourist attraction with Cowboys and gunfights. I even hear it's been a movie set a time or two. Wow! First time here was way back in 2002 for an event during the 15th Annual International Nissan Z Car Club Convention. Second was in 2018 for Old West Christmas Light Fest which was such a lovely event with all the lights at night and fire pits for s'mores. Third time is a charm in 2019 for both a private event in Dec during their light fest. I really do enjoy here, love the atmosphere on the ranch, and the friendliness of the owners and staff. Enchanted Springs is a perfect setting for a true Old West / Texas experience event. Everything included, even some live Longhorn cattle can be found around these parts. Yee Haw! read more

Pretty decent venue for a party. We 100 or so folks were in the saloon building. I don't think many more would fit. Two bars set up: one for beer and wine, the other for liquor and sodas. There was also a lemonade bar of various flavors. I heard the strawberry was pretty good. DJ on the stage. The buffet-style meal was comprised of sliced Turkey, brisket (a little too fatty), hash brown-like potatoes, green beans, rolls and butter. Standard Christmas party fare. Not terrible, not delicious. A trick roper entertained us. He was pretty good. During the holiday season, they have a light show at night. read more

Totally fun and family friendly ! Yelp provided a private Yelp event with eats, treats and drinks from all our local favorites ! Art of doughnut, Austin East Cider, Toro Toro and many more were there with great music and fun things to do with friends and family ! The light show was so gorgeous !!!! Visited Enchanted Springs Ranch Sunday. Upon approaching the entrance to the ranch, there should have been more lights and animated figures. The red, white & blue drive-thru tunnel was excellent. But after that the remainder appeared grim. Even though it was dark, the land appeared to be vast so more decorated lights and animated figures would have stood out. There was a very large boot close to entering the town to get in the top and take a picture. Next we visited the Christmas town on the property which was excellent, but more lighting was needed when we parked, the parking areas were very dark. Upon entering the town, we were given a map of the town, great idea and there were some Texas Longhorns in a fence, nice touch. The livery stable, the hotel, the bars, etc. every business was visible and nice to look at. There were a few vendors with very nice items for sale. There were a few fire pit stations, nice touch and a few food truck vendors. After finishing the event, we discovered there was only one way in and one way out of the ranch property. Terrible idea, how would people exit in case of an emergency? We had to wait for their staff to communicate with walkie talkies to clear vehicles entering the event before we could exit the event. From what I saw, I think another road maybe could have been built to allow an alternate exit. Other than the items mentioned in this post, the drive thru was ok. No pictures were taken due to being rather dark on the property. read more

Went for the first time with the wife for the Yelp Merry TexMas Party. The place was beautifully lit with Christmas lights for the Old West Christmas Light Fest. We enjoyed the layout and the bonfires. We didn't realize this beautiful place was just a few minutes from us. We hope to go again in the future! read more

WOW! This was even more fun than I thought it was going to be. This old west town is really authentic looking and the staff and characters are really friendly and so funny! This is a great place to take your kids and family, or even a unique place to take a date. We came down from Detroit to visit family and we all took a trip to Enchanted Springs. We ALL had a blast! Even the people that said they didn't want to go! We took pictures of the kids on the long horn steer, tried some magic elixir from Professor Thadeus Schmidlap and cheered as Pistol Packin' Paula twirled her guns and cracked her whip. It was so much fun! They're even making a movie about Paula and her dog! Stop reading reviews and just go. You won't regret it. It's fun, and something different from the usual parks. Wow. What a weekend at the Ranch. We were so fortunate to come to a rehearsal dinner Friday night, wedding Saturday and a little wagon ride to see the animals today. This place is seriously amazing. Friday night was rehearsal dinner at the saloon with dinner, drinks and line dancing. Great instructor that kept us on the floor and made even the most timid of dancers into professionals! (Okay, not quite....But we all looked pretty good!) Saturday night was the wedding, absolutely stunning back drop with the falls and pond. Beautiful ceremony followed by the wonderful celebration in the main dance hall. Rustic, wood and gorgeous. They had cowboys on horses to guide the cars where to park, cornhole and special ropers to provide entertainment. It's was great. Then today, a special wagon ride to take our kiddos around the back of the property to see all the gorgeous animals they have on the ranch. Highlight of our trip to Texas. Terry and Sylvia Adams have really created something very special here. This place is as enchanting for adults as it is for the kiddos. So many things for kids and adults to do. Wanted to check out a "Dude Ranch" while on vacation in Texas. We have a ~2 year old daughter so we couldn't do the whole horse back riding thing. This place seemed to have a little entertainment on top of the ranch experience. Once you check in (admission is $12 for adults) they walk you around the "town" the ranch is set up to emulate an old west town. You are allowed to walk into any of the open buildings to explore. It is also a fully functioning ranch. They bring out a texas longhorn from the stables to let the kids sit on and get photos. There is a stage show, with a gun slinger named Pistol Packing Paula. She is a world champion gun twirler and she puts on quite a show. After the show it's onto the wagon ride around the ranch to see the various animals that are roaming the range. Elk, Zebra's and Reindeer oh my!! All in all a great way to spend a couple of hours especially if you have kids. read more

Went for the Christmas lights. Magazine article said "$27.00/car" and "$5.00 military discount". We loaded up a car and upon entry were told it's $17.00 per PERSON! When we asked about, we got the military discount, but the lady said she had "no idea" where we'd hear $27.00/car. Well... here it is in black and white. Also, as far as driving through lights???? Well, you drive over a bridge and pass a few lights... then, get out and go to the buildings. The magazine article also discusses "vendors" being there... well. There were 2 vendors. I cannot tell what a great time we had! From the moment I called to make reservations for the chuckwagon dinner, the staff was gracious and welcoming. The town itself is unbelievable. We wandered around, taking pictures and visiting with the animals. Then we went to dinner. A full hearty portion of brisket, chicken, green beans, and potatoes. Dessert was a fabulous blueberry and peach bread pudding. The singer was so talented and knowledgeable, singing the top 10 cowboy songs and giving us all the history behind them. After dinner, there was a Wild West show. We didn't take the tractor ride because my husband had injured himself at work that day. I can't wait to go back and experience it again! read more

I found this place while searching the internet for things to do in Boerne and I'm so happy that we went. I was blown away with the history behind this place. The whole act with Pistol Packin Paula and the other shows was just amazing. We enjoyed the trip on the tractor and could not believe all of the exotic animals we were seeing. Our girls were able to get on Woodore (longhorn) for a pic and they loved it. The restrooms were clean and everyone was so welcoming and seemed happy we were there. They host parties here as well. Beware when going here on a field trip! They try to charge for kids that aren't there the day of, where all other places adjust their totals. They also tried to over charge us and not credit us our $150 deposit that we had sent in, their invoice they gave the person paying was not the invoice we received through email. So we had to cancel that check and re write another for the correct amount! A lot of stations were closed and we were not made aware of it. WE WILL NOT BE GOING BACK PER OUR PTO AND PRINCIPAL. read more

Went here on vacation with my 18 month old. Awesome! First of all, the Sheriff. I can't remember his name :( He was wonderful....so friendly, and welcoming! He is a Jack-Of-All trades here and told us that he was originally hired to paint the building's signs and make them look aged. Now he pretty much does everything and he is great at it. The little town is a lot like a movie set, only you get to tool around, unlike Universal Studios or any other "set" where you have to sit on a tram. My daughter had a blast running through the place. The bathrooms were clean and neat and the one in the "saloon" has a changing table. We went on the covered wagon ride and got to see the back lot, with all of the animals, she loved it and we loved it too. Then, there was the Texas Longhorn Steer. That didn't go over great with her, BUT we still loved it and she did get a close up view, which isn't going to happen in LA or NYC. I would HIGHLY recommend the ranch for young kids, teens and interested city slickers looking to get their feet dusty. The gift shop was cute too and I had no problem spending money there, as I know that it all goes to a great cause and the rescue of animals. We missed Paula, but I think we will be back someday! read more

We bought a groupon and were not disappointed. Our 2 year old son loved the wagon rides to see the animals. He also enjoyed walking around the town. We couldn't hang for the shows although I wanted too desperately- my son is not a big fan of being quiet or sitting still so we had to ditch. There were long pauses where nothing was going on- fine for older kids but unbearable w a toddler. Otherwise enjoyed our day! read more

As a disclaimer up front: I am European and for me and my husband it was a really nice half day adventure. We got a little bit of Wild West in a small park setting. This is not one of the big plastic theme parks! - You actually are in the middle of things, and you can talk to the actors and to Pistol Packin Paula and are part of the fun. Great to see how well the animals are kept - and hey, when do you get to cuddle with or even ride (kids only!) a real Texas longhorn? Make sure to take the tractor tour to see zebras, turtles, fish, longhorn and much more. The owners, actors and all the staff really make an effort to make it a worthwhile adventure, and we enjoyed it! read more

Had a wonderful time in the Wild Wild West! Everyone is super friendly, starting with the sheriff who greets you at the entrance (we must have looked innocent...) to the check-in ladies - aka Lori- to the longhorn keeper, wait staff/musician, entertainers and ranch manager. We received a private tour on the Gator from the ranch manager after discovering that we were too late for the wagon tour around the property. That was the bestest tour ever! The folks from Europe will not forget this anytime soon. It made everyone's day. This really is a fun clean place to check out. Worth the drive for sure. read more

A lot of fun for the kids and adults in our group. We went for a Christmas special weekend, so the crowds were very large, which probably contributes to my 4 star rather than 5 star review. I was a little surprised at the additional charges once we had paid for admission, but nothing was outrageously expensive. The shows were great fun and the food was really darned good. While visiting Texas I wanted to get a cowboy/wild west experience without having to go to a Country music dancehall. This place made for a perfect day out in the Texas sunshine. Hubby and I had fun wandering around the faux Wild West town. It was nice being free to wander around at your leisure and take tons of goofy photos in and around the buildings. We went on the short chuck wagon tour around the ranch and saw Texas longhorns, deer, catfish, and orynx. We also had a good laugh at the Doc Dakota performance, and watching two-time world champion gun spinner, Pistol Packin Paula, do her stuff! We even got to hug a Longhorn. Fabulous day out and super friendly staff. Well worth the entrance fee. So far, the highlight of our trip to Texas! read more

My fiance and I found this place while searching for places to take our engagement pictures. Right away we knew it had the look we wanted. Our wedding is rustic themed and we wanted engagement pictures to go along with that. We paid $75 and that covered my fiance and I as well as 2 photographers for 2 hours. Pam was the employee who was with us during the shoot and she was absolutely wonderful! She was very friendly and went above and beyond for us. Our original date got rained out and she was extremely understanding and worked with us to reschedule. She stayed with us the whole time even sharing ideas for good spots to take pictures. A large golf cart was provided which was very helpful seeing as how the property is so large. There is also a lake on the property with beautiful trees and we took many pictures in that area as well as in town. I highly recommend this as an event or photography venue! The staff is wonderful and it is unlike any other place you have been. I look forward to taking children here one day. Got the Groupon and took my family here last weekend. Everyone had a wonderful time. We all love it! The place is neat & filled with filming stories. The staffs are very funny, nice & informative. Chicken was not thoroughly cooked the meat being pink. The other people in my party had to also take their chicken back because of the same issue. Also, the girl at the bar with the sailor hat tried to over charge me for my drink. Supposedly wearing this hat to honor the Veterans in my group. I was quite disappointed with her trying to take advantage of the group to make a few extra bucks. What saved the evening was Paula the pistol and whip cowgirl. It was 75 degrees in February here in TX and we were looking for something to do outdoors. We loaded up the kids and took the hour drive from New Braunfels. My daughter loves longhorns and was looking forward to seeing the other animals. We arrived about 3:15 to find out they had just done the last wagon ride. When it returned I asked the driver -Nathan about it. He apologized and said they had someone go home sick. To not disappoint he offered us a private tour in a large golf cart. We got up close and personal to all the animals. Nathan was so nice and told us all about the animals and ranch. At the end I offered him a tip for going out of his way and he refused. He said he was happy to do it and loves showing off the ranch. Needless to say we had a wonderful time. The town is a great place to visit, great for kids, weddings and other functions. Also a great place for a photography session. We didn't get a chance to try the BBQ but it smelled amazing! read more

We took our 7th graders on a field trip to Enchanted Springs Ranch. Not only was it a great educational experience, it was also fun! Being a History teacher, I appreciate this kind of stuff, but I definitely was not the only person enjoying this trip. Jr High kids are often hard to entertain, and I saw students with huge smiles on their faces and carefree attitudes the entire time. There is a large pavillion that allowed us (about 100 people with plenty of room to spare) to all be together and eat. The old West theme is awesome and feels authentic. The town feels the same way as well. Pistol Packing Paula was amazing and interacted well with the students. The Sheriff was filled with a plethora of knowledge about most anything that dealt with the ranch. Woodrow, the longhorn, was a huge hit. The students loved looking at the exotic animals, including the buffalos. They liked going in the teepees, playing old time checkers on one of the porches, and I even had a few students who were just sitting down on the porches pretending to be the Justice of the Peace and chewing the fat. It was really a great experience and I can't wait to take my family up there and enjoy their Wednesday evening chuck wagon cooking and show. This is an awesome venue through and through.
