The workers varied from really nice and helpful to grumpy and appearing to hate their jobs. The place in general is a money pit, but I think you know that going into it. We happened to get in on a BOGO special. Otherwise the price seems crazy high. The roller coaster was one activity that seemed to be running very inefficient. It took forever for them to load the carts. They did jump workers around to different activities so everything isn't always open and the times posted didn't actually match up to when they were open.

That's when we found out that for $30 you could get one hour of free play on non ticketed games. We bought one card and were able to play the Walking Dead rail shooter, the entire campaign of the Halo rail shooter, and some Cruisin' to wrap up the night. It was a Friday night, so they were pretty busy but it's such a huge arcade that it really never is a problem. The staff were all super nice and made me feel welcomed. There is a pretty great selection of games at Tom Foolery. I do wish they had an NBA Jam style arcade machine or more "mature" games like Halo and Walking Dead, but beggars can't be choosers. If you've ever wanted to just be a guy and run through full arcade game campaigns, the Tom's Power Hour deal is absolutely worth it. I will be back one day to beat the Jurassic Park campaign. They were onsite when we visited and they were the sweetest, most kind people ever. Not only did our boys have a blast but us adults did too! I only got videos/pics of their indoor facility but their outdoor obstacle course was super challenging and fun as well! Bring extra clothes/shoes to change into if it's raining. If you have ever wanted to experience an American Ninja Warrior course-you have got to check this place out.

There is a small indoor gym with a lot of the American Ninja Warrior apparatuses. I came with a group from Camp Gladiator and they took us on the outdoor loop. Oh man was it the most challenging and fun course! There are so many obstacles on the loop that you can do half during one loop and the other half on the second loop (they are each labeled with "Loop 1" / "Loop 2"). We completed all the obstacles in one loop, which wasn't a quick adventure. There are upper and lower body obstacles as well as core. I wasn't able to complete a lot of them but it was fun to try and I know I will be hurting tomorrow since I know I used muscles I probably haven't in a while or ever. The terrain is very rocky with hills- some pretty steep, so you have to watch your footing. Also, be very careful on all of the obstacles- I almost got injured several times since I do not have the best form, nor strength. It comes with the territory though, and you sign a waiver before using the gym or loop. There are water jugs along the course which is nice if you need to refill your water bottle, or if you don't want to carry a water bottle around and are in need of a need a drink. There are no cups, but they are up high so you can pour it into your mouth if you stand below it. My only dislike about the whole loop is if I had not come with my group - which included 2 personal trainers that knew the course and proper form - there are no instructions or tips listed for each station. You sort of have to figure it out, which I know I may have not been able to for all of the obstacles had my trainers not been there. There were a lot of groups and families with kids as young as middle school aged. You can skip obstacles if needed- it is at your own pace and fitness level. $20 gets you in for the day to do whatever you may please as many times as you want. I think that is an excellent deal! As we were leaving, some young teens were there for a birthday party- pretty cool idea! No matter what you show up for, just be prepared to work your booty off and have fun, as well as bring a towel for the car trip home since you will be dirty and sweaty.

I was genuinely excited to try this gym and see what their classes were like--but then I heard…read moretheir "trial" policy: a paid day pass before committing to a monthly membership. Honestly, that's bad business practice. You're basically asking people to pay $30 upfront, risking them deciding not to stay--and potentially losing out on a full monthly membership. It's a tiny fee for them, but it's a huge turn-off for anyone genuinely interested. If a business can't trust people enough to offer a real trial experience, I'm not willing to hand over my money. There are plenty of gyms that actually want to earn your membership, not scare it away. No thanks.

We hosted a birthday party here, and my son and I came to climb a couple times before the party…read more Based on experience with another local climbing gym (primarily bouldering spaces -- had not really dived into harnessed/belayed climbs before), this gym looked intimidating at first, but really cool. I like that there is an on-site coffee shop and food truck, and plenty of outdoor space to relax, in addition to additional gym spaces upstairs and downstairs. The front desk staff always seems very helpful -- if you're new to the gym, they'll happily give you a tour, and the introduction to climbing with a harness was very helpful. The gym has a variety of self-belay climbs that you can do, which is what we've stuck to so far. I do find the animal-themed ratings a little difficult to understand. Also, I would say most of the climbs--even the "sloth" rated ones--are a little more challenging that I'm used to (both for belay and bouldering). For our birthday party, they actually reserved the entire kids' room just for our party, which I thought was a fantastic deal. The kids' room is definitely not just for beginners, either. They patiently gave the group a lesson, and we had a dedicated guide for our entire party (he even gave latecomers their own lessons). The kids got to try pretty much all of the climbs, which took most of the 2 hours, before they got tired of the room and wanted to venture into the larger gym space. We were able to bring our own decorations, food, and beverages, and they supplied all the plates, forks, and tablecloths. Memberships and single day passes are a little on the pricey side, so I'm not sure how often we'll come back, but it is a really nice space, and I'm happy to have it available in our community.
