But our rule of thumb is to do our due diligence anytime we are buying or selling, regardless of age or condition of the property. We decided to go with Beyond Home Inspection. And we are so glad we did! Their prices were very reasonable and they offered a discount as the home was a new build. Our Inspector, Ken, showed up early and was extremely kind, professional and knowledgeable. He explained his inspection process, answered all questions and addressed the handful of concerns we had. Ken began the inspection on the exterior then moved to the interior. Ken diligently and throughly inspected every inch of our home. I was onsite during the inspection and as items surfaced, Ken explained in detail and in words I could understand potential issues and items that required attention. He provided us with a detailed analysis of our property the same day the inspection was completed with at included detailed information and multiple images, electronically. Ken is even drone trained and if he was unable to throughly inspect the roof, would have used a drone. Luckily, he was able to access all points thus it was not needed. Ken is extremely insightful and I could tell that he truly cared about our interests! I cannot say enough great things. We 100% recommend Ken of Beyond Home Inspection! Can't speak to any other inspectors but I definitely vouch for Ken! Money well spent!

The pool was never opened and they did not actually inspect it, the gas was not on to the heater so that was not checked. The inspector even verified that he did not fully inspect the pool since it was closed, now they will not return calls or emails.

Excellent professional service, that I highly recommend to all my family and friends…read more Tyler arrived on time and immediately got to work, everything was checked very carefully, photos were taken, temperatures were measured with a high end FLIR instrument, every detail was carefully examined. Before he left he did point out the important items so we had a chance to ask questions, which he answered professionally and thoroughly. The report is delivered via email (a link to his website) is of excellent quality, with detailed information of what the issues found were and why they are an issue plus he also states how to resolve them. The items are color coded and easy to read so you know what needs to be addressed immediately and what can be done at a later time This is a superior inspection service that sets a high mark for quality work, what Tyler did not know is that I am a recently retired operations engineer and so I have experience with plant equipment (heating, cooling, water, etc.) so I knew what to watch out for and I am impressed that Tyler caught everything that I saw plus he found things that I missed, I am thrilled at the quality of his work and feel that he did a great job making sure that the place we are purchasing is safe and secure for my family. Tyler at MRT is now in my contacts file so he will be the one person that I recommend to everyone in the future.

Poor customer service and poor quality. SHI was timely to book and conduct an inspection, but the…read moreservice they provided was inadequate. I was apparently under the wrong assumption that a home inspector represents their client's interests and wants to ensure clients are fully informed of the condition of a prospective home and that the home is safe for their client's family. Going back in forth in my SHI Better Business Bureau complaint, SHI informed me that is not the case. Apparently home inspectors in NM are not required to evaluate if a home's critical components, in my case the HVAC, are to code or required to be certified to evaluate critical components for functionality. SHI noted minor deficiencies in our new home, but stated everything was otherwise operational. They provided a blanket recommendation of having a licensed professional inspect all deficiencies noted. Then what is the point of paying for a home inspection? Upon move in we discovered our HVAC was improperly installed and would never be able to cool our house, a $35K hit to an already expensive move. We also found an old roof leak not identified on inspection and that our stucco needed repairs to ensure the roof wouldn't leak again. Next time I make the most costly investment in my life, I'll skip the pricey home inspection and opt for a FREE evaluation from a licensed expert who will quickly identify problems and solutions and likely save me thousands of dollars.

But the three foot by three foot door under the rear deck, next to the air conditioning unit was very accessible. He also stated that the third bedroom fixture should be replaced as it wasn't functioning. It had a 'smart light bulb' in it. One that is activated by "hey google". We even showed him this. He asked where the well was, so he wasn't afraid to ask a question. We were there the whole time. Save your money.

This company missed something huge with no mention in there so called findings. We had or have a mouse infestation. Actually I'm convinced he didn't write it down on purpose since you literally couldn't miss some of the damage. What do I know tho I'm just home buyer. We absolutely over paid and the amount of mice damage is unbelievable. There is no way they didn't see this and now of course the new home owners are stuck removing panels and Sheetrock to rid the old mice droppings and urine. Stay away! Make an informed decision on your home inspector someone who cares about your 30 year investment any good inspector would have noticed this. Once we had a pest control company out the evidence was very obvious and clear that Amerispec missed this. Below I'll attach my finding so far full disclosure it's not very pleasant. My experience with your inspector was nice he was polite but lacking the know how to see something like this. Another thing I did not have to remove the walls to find out I had a mouse problem so before amerispec says it's just an inspection and they can't always see underlying issues this was literally in plain sight to the right eyes.
