These guys, father/son, are top notch. Nobody should be hiring any other inspection company. Period. Superb!

Lee did a terrific job inspecting my new to me property in Rio Rancho. He was very thorough and found a few things I did not see.

I cannot recommend this company. They inspected my home in end of May 2016. Said in the report that…read morethe central A/C was working. When I moved in the middle of June, after driving across country, it was 100degrees in Rio Rancho and the A/C did not work from the moment I stepped into the home. The fan worked but NO COOL AIR! It took seven days for the A/C to finally get serviced and for me to find out that there was no freon in the A/C. Not only that but they missed reporting a very important issue with the home. The master shower plumbing did not connect to the drain pipe. Looking down, you could see that there was a good inch gap in which water was not being funneled into the drain but was running down onto the foundation. I had several quotes from contractors who wanted to pull apart the shower and charge thousand of dollars to fix. How could a home inspector miss such a thing? For me, I found it very easy to spot. The very first time I stepped into the shower, I found a plug in the shower drain - not a tub, mind you, but a free standing shower. Instead of the normal shower cover that attaches to the proper plumbing, there was a metal ring in the opening where there should have been the usual shower drain cover (see attached photos). In my opinion, this should have been a clue to ANY home inspection that something was amiss but somehow, in the home inspection report, there was no mention of a plug covering an open drain or a missing shower cover or that upon inspection, water was running around the drain onto the foundation under the master shower, I called Mike and also sent an email. I wanted him to show up, see the problem and explain exactly how they missed this. He called back once to say that he was on his way over and would be there in 15 min. I was not home and missed that call. I emailed him after that including photos of the shower drain. No response ever again. Not an email in response to my email, not another phone call, nada. Had he gotten back to me and at least tried to offer proof that the A/C had been working at the time of inspection (other than just his statement in the report) or an explanation about the shower situation, I probably would not be writing this review. But, he didn't.

I cannot express how impressed my husband and I are with Mike! Originally we were going to go with…read moreA and R Home Inspectors (Lowest price) but learned you get what you pay for with that company. A&R squeezes in 6-7 inspections a day where Mike only books 2!! This assured us that we would receive a thorough and appropriate length inspection instead of a rushed one (A thorough inspection should be at least 3 hours). I had done some research on A&R and read some horrible reviews. Mike was referred to us by a coworker of mine and it was by far the best decision to change inspectors and go with Enchantment Home Inspections! Mike's inspections last about 3 hours if not more. He thoroughly checks everything, takes pictures and creates a binder containing pictures and descriptions of your home. Additionally he will provide you with a homeowners manual so you can learn proper care for your home. This is our first home and I wanted to feel secure in the decision of purchasing it. Mike was able to provide that sense of security! Thank you so much Mike!!

Do NOT have your home inspection done by this company. Chris and Ray are extremely unprofessional…read moreand treat their customers poorly. My realtor hired Chris to complete a home inspection on the property I was purchasing, and at face value, he was civil during the process. He went through the standard review of his findings and based on the report he provided, I gave my realtor a list of objections to be completed by the homeowner prior to the sale. After the repairs were "completed", Chris did the re-inspection on 1/24/18 and signed off on the repairs as being fixed. After I moved in, I was cleaning the kitchen cabinets and found the cabinet containing the lazy susan adjacent to the dishwasher (the dishwasher had a faulty drain line that I reported in my objections) was completely rotted from the leak. Chris completely missed it. I called his office and he did come out and assess the damage. He issued a check to me for the repairs but held it hostage until I was forced to sign some sort of "release" form, basically stating I wouldn't sue him. Later, I found that other issues I reported in my objections were, in fact, not repaired. I called the office number and spoke with Ray and told him what was going on and also reported another issue Chris completely missed - my upstairs bathtub is severely leaking into the downstairs bathroom which WOULD HAVE DETERRED me from purchasing this home. I requested Chris call me since he did the inspection. Ray set up an appointment on 4/2/18 between 11 and 11:30 am. The morning of the appointment, Ray called me and told me Chris would not be going to my home due to this release, basically stating he no longer had to do business with us. Mind you, Chris supposedly "guarantees" his inspections for 90 days. I asked Ray to have Chris call me. I waited several hours and finally tried calling back, just to find that Ray had blocked my cell phone number. I called twice to confirm and called back from another number and confronted him...of course Ray denied blocking my number. I requested another call back from Chris questioning why he hadn't called me by then since he had time between 11 and 11:30 am and Ray said he had talked to him twice and would tell him again. I called a few minutes after from my cell phone number to verify I was still blocked and left a message requesting a copy of the so-called release be emailed to me immediately since I never received a copy. I still have yet to get that copy and have found they also blocked the other number I called from. There is no customer service or integrity with Chris or Ray with HomeTeam Inspections and they have absolutely NO problem leaving their customers high and dry after they've been paid out. A release for a separate issue DOES NOT RELEASE you from the responsibility of taking care of the issues listed on the objections list from the first home inspection! I will be reporting Chris to every entity I can think of. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Go elsewhere.

The next morning I received an email that stated, "The total fee for this inspection is $352.40, payable before or at the time of the inspection."-- which was not what was agreed upon verbally. I contacted Chris immediately and told him we are going to choose another company that is willing to have the fee be paid at closing. He quickly threatened a cancellation fee-- mind you no documents or contract of any kind has been signed thus far. The agreed upon date for the potential home inspection was more than a week away. I told him I will contact the Better Buisness Bureau because an honorable company wouldn't treat their customers this way and he threatened to "put a lien" on the house. I am contacting the BBB tomorrow! I am so thankful we didn't do business with this man or his company! Beware he is a snake and clearly will do anything to make a buck.

He caught many problems with how the house had been built (sealing issues and some wires exposed to the outdoors) that the original inspector (Home Detectives) who inspected the house when it was purchased as new construction three years ago didn't notice at all! John was good about explaining what he was seeing and showing us and our agent what the problems were. He seems to take home inspecting very seriously. If you use him to inspect your home, I think you'll be in good hands! It does seem to be true that some inspectors are less thorough than others. We didn't go with our agent's recommendations but found John/Entropy Concepts through Yelp and google, and I'm glad we did! Edit: The inspection report itself was extremely thorough, with helpful things like photos of the HVAC system serial number, very detailed photos of all the problems, and suggestions for home maintenance like draining the water filter! Great job, and a very useful document. This inspector also is backed by a buy-back guarantee from InterNACHI, which a lot of home inspectors don't offer.

Not only did John show up about 30 minutes early (before me (the buyer), my dad, the buyer's agent, and seller's agent) - he got to work straight away and we found him on the roof taking pictures and making notes before the appointment even started. From introductions to good-bye's John was absolutely professional, thorough, and took great care to document any and everything in the house that could potentially be/become a problem. It was a full house with all of the people there for the inspection and John took it in stride, patiently explaining anything we asked in laymen terms. John was honest and did not sugar coat anything. You can tell he takes pride in his work and wants what is best for his client, even if that means delivering bad news on a property. I appreciate this honesty and know that having someone look out for your best interests is a relief in the home buying process. I'm so glad we decided to go with Entropy Concepts LLC to perform a second inspection. I have a better piece of mind going through the home buying process after getting John's expert opinion. Needless to say, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND ENTROPY CONCEPTS LLC to any one purchasing a new home, any one preparing to sell a home, or to a home owner that wants to know the condition of their home. The entire experience with Entropy Concepts LLC was excellent. My buyer's agent was impressed with John's thoroughness and my dad could not stop complimenting how well John, "Knows his stuff." This is my first home purchase and I don't know much about homes but learned a lot from the inspection and feel confident moving forward with my buyer's agent and John's inspection and recommendations. One last thing, Entropy Concepts LLC is a local, family-owned business which I always prefer over a corporation. Using local business is good for the economy and comes along with better service. Monica, who helped me schedule the inspection and set up reminders to my iPhone (I still don't know how she did that, lol) is a pleasure to work with also. Bottom line, if you want a thorough, professional, top to bottom home inspection at a reasonable price by a highly competent inspector - go with John from Entropy Concepts LLC.

Make an informed decision on your home inspector someone who cares about your 30 year investment any good inspector would have noticed this. Once we had a pest control company out the evidence was very obvious and clear that Amerispec missed this. Below I'll attach my finding so far full disclosure it's not very pleasant. My experience with your inspector was nice he was polite but lacking the know how to see something like this. Another thing I did not have to remove the walls to find out I had a mouse problem so before amerispec says it's just an inspection and they can't always see underlying issues this was literally in plain sight to the right eyes.
