Out of the hundreds of day spas in the area, this is the first one where I've felt at home. Kim and her staff will not only go out of their way for you (staying open late, etc.), but she remembers the little things, like your birthday, or your last vacation. She seems genuinely interested, but not intrusive, and she doesn't push services on you that you don't want. It is smaller than most salons: two chairs in the front, two (?) in the back, but because she is so accomodating, I'd doubt you'd have a problem getting a mani/pedi, even last minute or at closing. I think I am in love! Enchantment Salon offers everything I have been searching YEARS to find in one place! Have you ever gone out for a fun, but random pedicure, only to be disappointed with the results? I have been searching for "my person" and I have finally found her! Kim @ Enchantment does everything I ask - hands down the best pedicure I have had! I also get my manicures there, I don't have a regular person who does those, but I must give my kudos to Michelle who recently rocked my nails - I like it simple and she did the most thorough manicure and buff job EVER! On top of that I have even had my eyelashes tinted! I love this - but the last salon I went to (at a more pricey salon, literally across the street) put me in tears! No joke! My eyes were red and irritated for hours! Not at Enchantment! Stephanie has been doing this for years and she is professional and very experienced! Waxing, Nails, Facial, Massages, Hair - Enchantment Salon does it all! On top of this - the customer service is OUTSTANDING! This is my favorite local spa. I have been a patron of this salon since Kim's (the owner) opening month. I regularly get manicures, pedicures, facials, and waxing (all types) here. Although everyone is good, here are my preferences of personnel by services. Waxing- You have to go with Stephanie- she does facial and body waxing, no one else touches my eyebrows. Pedicures- Michelle, she does a great job she takes here times and leave your feet cuticle free, my pedicures sometimes grow out before they chip or look old (shame on me 4 weeks is way too long). And if you like designs she does really cute, yet not too "out there" designs! Manicures- Kim- for natural nails no one polishes better! At every other salon my nails would chip the same day, but with Kim's Manicure they last a week! Facials- Stephanie again- She gives the best facials, I routinely go to high end day spas (like Burke Williams) and while they do pretty good jobs they don't come close to Stephanie's work. Stephanie analyzes your skin and even keeps notes on your skin. She personalizes her facials to your needs, including purchasing products especially made to address any skin issues you may have. read more

I love this place! I have been nail salon hopping for awhile looking for my new favorite place. And now I have found it. It was recommended to me by a friend who has been going there ever since they first opened. I walked in and immediately liked it. The staff was friendly and welcoming. It had a relaxed calming vibe. It smelled good. It was clean. The spa chairs were spread out (2 in front, 3 around the corner) which was nice because you don't get overly distracted by someone else's chit chat. I was able to relax. I got a mani / pedi. The chairs were in good condition and the remotes worked (should be the norm, but is not always the case). The gal did a wonderful job and I will definitely be going back. Toward the end, the facial gal Stephanie came by. I was having a bad breakout and she had this soft non offensive way of asking about it. We talked about it and she offered some advice, along with some free samples of Dermalogica products. I never felt like she was trying to sell me anything. The products worked great and I did end up going back to make a purchase. read more

I came here a few days ago with 2 of my gals to treat them for their birthdays. A mani-pedi for 2 of us, a spa pedi for the other. The place is clean and nice and the service was pretty good even though all of us were offered additional services (for additional costs). Lana gave me a SUPER massage and did a nice job on my nails. The prices seemed a little high to me, but I haven't had my nails done in this area for a while so maybe I'm just not up on pricing. Listening to my friends' thoughts, I think I would only request Lana. Overall, a nice experience. I would definitely go back, but am not opposed to trying other nail spots in the area. read more

I absolutely love this place! It's a one-stop shop....Leave with beautiful nails, toes, waxed brows, and . . . a HAIRCUT! Linda is fabulous, and all the beautiful ladies here are fun, warm, and great at what they do. I love spending an afternoon at Enchantment! Oh, and they can do false eyelashes, too. Honestly... I wish I could give this place zero stars. DO NOT COME HERE. I went in for a fill.. a simple task for a nail salon to complete. I had gorgeous, long, naturally grown, french tips that I loved and I simply wanted them to be filled in. I called in advance and asked for their most experienced manicurist. The receptionist assured me that everyone had been working for a long time and was well trained to do my nails. When I arrived for my appointment, I waited a good 10 minutes. The woman who did my nails barely spoke a word of english, henceforth making it very difficult for me to communicate what it was that I wanted done. Right away she began filling my nails so paper thin that it was almost painful, suddenly I felt a hot, shooting pain in my finger. The manicurist had stopped paying attention to talk to her co-worker (while using a high power drill) and filed through my cuticle and part of my finger. She then: -grabbed the open wound with her dirty (gloveless) finger to try to stop the bleeding. -Dipped my hand in acetone and alcohol - and painted over my wound with paint on nail glue (double dipping into her nail glue jar and seeing the brush turn red with my blood was disgusting). Who knows if she threw it away. - To make matters worse she chopped off every single one of my beautiful nails without asking and did an horrendous job with the gel on my now little nub nails. They are already chipping after three days! Of course they apologized, and didn't make me pay for destroying my finger and nails but I am tramatized from the event and have a damaged finger that cant wear nails for a good two weeks. I ran out crying with a bleeding finger (which bled for an hour and a half) and will never look back. I tell this story with the hope that no one will have to go through what I went through at Enchantment. I would rather eat my own fist then go back. read more

i have really really really really crappy nails. thin like my hair. is it too much to ask to want my nails to look nice? i would love to go natural, but my nails are like poor, defenseless baby birds that will surely perish and be crushed under the everyday stresses of life. to top it off, i have evidently damaged my thumbnail nailbed and now it grows with a perpetual split in the middle. naturally this issue will not allow the nail to grow past the end of my thumb before it catches on something and rips down to skin! ouch! i had tried everything short of removing the whole thing and starting over. even then, no one can guarantee the new nail will not be affected. i've always ended up turning to false nails just to cover up my crappy nails for special occasions. i had been researching more and more about gel overlays and concluded that i should try this versus damaging acrylics . . . again. i had a big event coming up and i desperately wanted to look my best. going by other yelp reviews, coupled with the fact that they are right down the street from my house, i gave enchantment a try. yes, my tech was really nice, i can't complain there; but i should have researched "gels" a little further. or rather, maybe they should have. she pulled out powders and tips and worked very quickly. i asked about 3 times if these were gels. she kept telling me, "yes, gels." i didn't actually see any gel until my fingertips were covered in mounds of acrylic. when i say, "i keep my nails short," i didn't mean long. not only that, but when i describe the acrylic as a "mound," that is no exaggeration. it no longer resembled anything that has ever grown on my hand. the gel that finally made its appearance made it look even worse with the bubbles and bulging. yuck. i venture to believe i almost could have done better myself. needless to say there was much expensive work (not to mention further damage to my nails) to be done to look presentable for my event. i give one for service, but i give another because i blame myself slightly for not knowing any better. read more

Lida and Kim are ah-mazing...hands down the best Men's Pedicures we've ever experienced. We live all the way up in Burbank...but still travel down to see them in Belmont Shores when we want a pedi. Kim is great, she knows you and remembers you if you come a few times. Toes and fingers look great after a visit and I leave thinking about how relaxed I am and how nice an appointment it was as opposed to feeling annoyed with upselling and unconcerned staff at other salons. This is not a huge salon with a ton of chairs and even more manicurists sitting around watching tv and biding their time. Terrible experience!!!!! I have been searching for a new nail salon in long beach since August 2012 when I moved here. I came across this salon and I decided to give it a try. I come in for an acrylic fill with gel polish and toes. At first, I absolutely loved the salon and I was so excited they carried "Perfect Match" brand Gel polish, meaning the gel polish comes with a regular nail polish for your toes so your hands and feet match in color. So I choose my color and they begin painting my toes, I loved the color. Then once she finishes my nails and begins painting on the gel I noticed it was a completely different polish color then what was on my toes. I tell her and she tells me it's the same color because they are both numbered "24". So she continues painting. Literally my toes were mauve and my nails were butterscotch. I explains to her I do not like this color she is applying on my hands and she finally stops and listens to me after the first coat on all 10 fingers. So she suggests painting a different color on top to try and make the toenail polish color, still insisting that they're the same colors because they're both numbered "24" so they MUST match. She begins painting a new color for a second coat and I tell her to stop!! I was so irritated, especially knowingly having to pay for this sloppy job. I ask to see the toenail polish color and the "matching" gel polish. I read the name on the bottom of the bottle and they were named DIFFERENT names, meaning DIFFERENT colors. She becomes defensive and says they're old colors and they just got mixed up but they still go together! I was livid! I asked for a new color because by this point I was looking like mauve butterscotch mess. I picked purple. She paints my toes purple, NOT taking off the old color, just paints on TOP of what I had. Then paints my nails on TOP of what I had on there! So I had a ton of colors and so many layers. I was so uncomfortable and other customers were present. I just wanted to run and leave and never return. I had to pay full price and I still left a tip! And I HATED my service. The very NEXT day two nails broke and chipped from all the layers!! I went back in and close to closing time and she told me they were closing. She didn't even ask to see her work ruined and chipped. She should've made it a point to fix my nails. I absolutely will never return to this salon. i live in Belmont Shore and I'm yet to find a fabulous nail salon. read more

I don't get people who don't give 5 stars to a place they say is excellent, friendly service, clean stations, and reasonable prices. I can ad, I have NEVER had such a perfect acrylic set as that given by Michelle. Flawless! And the girls are all sweet and professional and don't talk incessantly in their language giving one the impression they are talking about you. It's busy there because they do an excellent job, and the foot traffic out front keeps it interesting..love the eye candy. This guy stopped in for a pedicure..ooh la la! i've been to many nail places, mostly frequenting the nail spa in costa mesa because they are large and clean. it's not always convenient, so i've ended up going to a few random places in long beach as i haven't yet found a favorite place or person. how well your nails are done depends on who you get, though more important is the cleanliness of the salon. enchantment salon & spa is a small nail shop with five spa chairs and waxing services at the northeastern end of 2nd street. i came here during the day, around 3:30p, and all the chairs were filled, though i only ended up waiting 15 min. they seem eager for your business and accomodating. i noticed the pedi-spa chairs being washed down with what appeared to be anti-bacterial soap between customers, which is good. since they were busy (meaning 5 customers in a small shop), it took about 1.5 hrs for them to give me a mani & pedicure. during that time, the time ran out on the meter, but the girl doing my manicure was nice enough to put more money in for me. in the mean time, i enjoyed the massaging chair, which was standard spa chair, and tried not to worry about the errands i had yet to run. as for the manicure-pedicure, she did a good job. it's been over a year since i had been to a nail salon, so was a little surprised by how high the prices were. mine ended up being $30 for the combo. i remember when it used to be in the mid $20s. the service was fine. i'm not sure if and when i'll come back as there are more nail salons than starbucks around here, but i would consider it. read more

I got my lashes filled here. She put way to many lashes on, and they didn't match my curly lashes so you could see a huge difference. They didn't last very long either. After trying multiple nail salons in Belmont Shore and even Naples, I settled into my bi-weekly routine at the Enchantment Salon and Spa and have been doing it for years now. I am a no frills kind of a person and for the money, the quality and the cleanliness of the Enchantment can't be beat. Kim (the owner) is always cheerful and will treat you like family. I've been to other salons where you can be a regular yet they wouldn't accommodate you if you happen to need a later appointment or ask for a specific manicurist. Not the case with Kim. She will do her best to accommodate you and even more so if you are a regular. Also, pedicures from other salons don't last-after a week, the polish starts to chip, the cuticles become ragged. I never had that problem at the Enchantment. Likely because they use quality base materials and take their time rather than rush you through. Also, I hate when salons try to up sell you. I never feel like I am being sold something I don't need at the Enchantment; that's rare these days. The complimentary hot stone massage is great in this cold and rainy weather. In other words, take it from a loyal customer, Enchantment Salon and Spa is a little gem you should give a try to! read more

I've been going here for almost 5 years to get my lashes done by Lida! From day one, I've been addicted and she always does a great job. I usually don't get a refill till 3-4 weeks after and the lashes are good quality, and soft. She has two versions of lashes.. One is more voluminous and a tad more expensive. I've tried both and I like the cheaper ones but my sister likes the voluminous ones. The brand of lashes she uses is called Long Mi. The hardest thing about individual eyelash extensions is not rubbing them and it's something you have to train yourself to not do. I've never had an issue with them not lasting. Oh! This is my favorite place to get my eyelash extensions done! Linda does a wonderful job, she makes my lashes look so natural and beautiful! I got my lashes done two weeks ago, and they still look amazing. I've got my lashes done at different places before, but they don't compare to Linda's work. I get compliments on my lashes at least once a day! They are so comfortable and flawless, I don't even have to do my eye makeup anymore. Best of all, it's only $75! Some of my friends also got their eyelashes done by her and they agree that Lindas the best! I highly recommend Linda for doing lashes, hair, everything!
