He gave us an alternative option, he was confident it would work, and it did!! After vigorous brushing for about a month, the tissue went away!! Our pediatrician was stunned as were we. However, all the girls in the back are super nice, professional and great. I absolutely do not recommend Dr. Traxler. He was quite dismissive with me many times. He recommended I have a bone graft and osseous surgery for an ongoing issue I was having with gum along back molar. He knew that I had been on oral and IV bisphosphonate drugs but didn't advise me of some of the issues these could cause with surgery. I had major problems after surgery including two areas of bone exposure along the gum line and delayed healing. He was very dismissive during each after visit and said, I just need to have that tooth pulled. I had always told him that I wanted to keep the tooth as I knew pulling a tooth could lead to many other issues. But he did not want to work with me in preserving the tooth and/or helping me to get this area healed. He said there was nothing more he could do, just go to a surgeon. I immediately changed periodontists. The current doctor was kind, caring, professional and worked with me to save my tooth. And all areas of bone exposure have now healed. Please be careful with this office.

I wanted to buy time with the tooth and decided to get a second opinion. Came here since my husband comes here and was told they can save my tooth. I felt a lot better about it. Not that a root canal is pleasant, but it's better than losing my tooth completely. They were able to fit me in and remove most of the debris. I got this done yesterday and feeling better already. Once my gums heal, it's two more steps to getting my final crown. I'm still really nervous chewing with it but at least I won't lose my tooth. My gums feel swollen but they checked on me today and were really helpful with explaining the process to me. I was so nervous that they wouldn't be able to save my tooth, but they were able to. At least for now, that tooth eventually needs to be extracted but I need to buy time with it. Thanks to everyone on the team for all of their assistance.

I cracked my crown during covid and needed more than a cleaning. While getting the crown fixed, I figured it was also a good time to take care of some other issues that I had been putting off until I found someone I could trust. I asked my best friend and consigliere if he had a recommendation. "Dr. Sherman is the best. Complete trust." After my visits I wholeheartedly agree. The covid protocols were excellent. Temperature and oxygen level checks before entry. The office was spotless, extremely clean and had very specific air circulation. The staff was friendly, extremely helpful and thorough. And most importantly of all my teeth were extremely well taken care of. The cleaning was amazing! So nice to have my teeth cleaned for the first time in over a year (thanks covid). Two of my fillings needed to be fixed. This was handled with precision and care including during a follow-up visit to correct some touching that was occurring. Finally the crown was just exactly perfect!! It's incredible! The shading, size and fit are so good you can't tell at all it's a crown. I'm ready to show off my new smile, too bad nobody can see it behind the mask. Dr. Sherman and her team are true professionals only wanting the best for your teeth. Here's some pros and cons:…read more PROS: - early appointments (7am) - optional topical analgesic (some numbing gel) if you don't like the pain of the metal plaque-removing tool or the floss work - pretty saltwater fish tank - several chairs for kids to sit in and wait - free toothbrush and floss with every cleaning visit - gentle and quick x-rays - they offer the "tray" teeth whitening service - sweet hygienists that do a really good job cleaning CONS: - canceled or missed appointment will cost you money - no late-in-the-day appointments (I wish I could get in there after work) - small office, so it feels cramped and you can hear other people getting drilled - this dentist is not in the Anthem Blue Cross group - no TV or anything to look at while your teeth are getting cleaned - nothing to listen to while your teeth are getting cleaned...except musak over the office speakers but usually it's really boring elevator music (I would prefer classic rock or something more lively)

The waiting room is comfortable and quiet. The chairs are comfortable (important for those with back problems). Every hygienist on staff is careful and keeps you informed about the best ways to maintain gums and teeth. I always look forward to my appointments - this practice always makes me feel like family. I used to be a 'white knuckle' patient decades ago; today, I can fall asleep in the chair because I'm so relaxed.
