What I like about this dental office is the wonderful people who work there. Victoria, at the front desk is friendly and helpful. Sarah gives me a good dose of gas, so my pain is never a problem. She is also a very careful and gets my teeth and gums as clean as possible. Dr. Skeens treats people like they're his friends and doesn't suggest things that are not needed. Dr. Skeens has a great chairside manner, knows what he's doing, and tells you what's going on every step of the way. He has a great staff as well, from the people at the front desk to his dental hygienist, who is very thorough. I have to admit, I had kind of a negative image of a lot of dentists -- just interested in making a lot of money, uncaring about their patients, etc. Dr. Skeens is the exact opposite of this. I had three wisdom teeth pulled and a deep gum cleaning yesterday and went to bed that night with no pain at all. Went in today and had a permanent crown done and two fillings put in, I feel fine now. I had neglected my teeth for over ten years as a result of a bad dentist experience in the past. No one lectured me or gave me a hard time, just the facts of what was going on in my mouth. Dr Skeens gave my a laundry list of must haves and prioritized what needed to be done. He is great with the needle so that it doesn't hurt getting numb and explains everything as he goes. I was able to get all caught up on my neglected teeth in TWO visits! I have always been petrified of going to the dentist and so has my son. Dr. Skeens and his team are the most friendly and patient group of professionals. They understood my fears and worked patiently with me to build trust and make me feel calm and comfortable. Dr. Skeens explains everything he finds and gives reasoning behind why he suggests each procedure to be done. His office is clean and comforting (with televisions, headphones, blankets to help).
