I have been looking for a quality dentist in the greater San Diego area for years and finally found one in Dr. Diane Sherman, Amie and the rest of the team. They are AMAZING!!! I cracked my crown during covid and needed more than a cleaning. While getting the crown fixed, I figured it was also a good time to take care of some other issues that I had been putting off until I found someone I could trust. I asked my best friend and consigliere if he had a recommendation. "Dr. Sherman is the best. Complete trust." After my visits I wholeheartedly agree. The covid protocols were excellent. Temperature and oxygen level checks before entry. The office was spotless, extremely clean and had very specific air circulation. The staff was friendly, extremely helpful and thorough. And most importantly of all my teeth were extremely well taken care of. The cleaning was amazing! So nice to have my teeth cleaned for the first time in over a year (thanks covid). Two of my fillings needed to be fixed. This was handled with precision and care including during a follow-up visit to correct some touching that was occurring. Finally the crown was just exactly perfect!! It's incredible! The shading, size and fit are so good you can't tell at all it's a crown. I'm ready to show off my new smile, too bad nobody can see it behind the mask. Dr. Sherman and her team are true professionals only wanting the best for your teeth. I've been going to this dentist office for at least 10 years. Here's some pros and cons: PROS: - early appointments (7am) - optional topical analgesic (some numbing gel) if you don't like the pain of the metal plaque-removing tool or the floss work - pretty saltwater fish tank - several chairs for kids to sit in and wait - free toothbrush and floss with every cleaning visit - gentle and quick x-rays - they offer the "tray" teeth whitening service - sweet hygienists that do a really good job cleaning CONS: - canceled or missed appointment will cost you money - no late-in-the-day appointments (I wish I could get in there after work) - small office, so it feels cramped and you can hear other people getting drilled - this dentist is not in the Anthem Blue Cross group - no TV or anything to look at while your teeth are getting cleaned - nothing to listen to while your teeth are getting cleaned...except musak over the office speakers but usually it's really boring elevator music (I would prefer classic rock or something more lively) read more

Dr Diane is amazing!!! Why? Thanks for asking. Dr. Diane has a really great bedside manner, in other words, she is very nuturing. Example,m she is very communicative in a way that patients appreciate, she discusses what she is going to do and checks to make sure you are in comfort. Dr Diane eliminates the stress by providing a calm demeanor, lots of listening (needs assessment) and delivers the appropriate type of care. She does not sell. I love this aspect. Her office staff is excellent including billing. Judee is a delight and will make you feel at home when you arrive. I would definitely recommend anyone that values knowledge, service and great care giving to go and see Dr Diane and her team. I have already referred my entire family, they love her!!! read more

I've been with these guys for my entire life (26 years) and I love them. Their service is five-star and their whole staff are gems. I LOVE going to this dentist!!! I get my teeth cleaned 3-4 times per year. I just had a molar crown done. NO PAIN! Dr. Sheehan is very skilled with the novacaine , you cannot even feel the injection ! Prices are very competitive, the quality of work and professionalism of the office is top shelf ! read more

SHORT VERSION: If you need a dentist, you will not find one better than Dr. Sherman. Period. End of story. LONG VERSION: Dr Sherman has been our family dentist for about 20 years and we highly recommend her. She is very personable and friendly, showing actual interest in who you are and how your family is doing. Some docs make a perfunctory pass at conversation while whizzing over your chart. Not Dr Sherman! She sits, looks you in the eye, and asks how you're doing, how the kids are, etc... We have always felt that this is a person we would enjoy having dinner with. Her dental work has been supreme. She has steered us right through a number of procedures, always taking the time to explain what something means and when waiting would or would not be a good idea. And as someone with an irrational fear of needles, she has always been extra careful to talk me through everything that is going to happen - even telling me when to close my eyes. The office staff are wonderful. Everyone is relaxed and friendly. Scheduling / re-scheduling has never been a problem and we have never been made to feel that we are insignificant or in the way. You know how some offices can be sort of stand-offish ("oh, you're just a patient; I'll just continue my catty office conversation while handling you with only a small part of my brain..."), well this has NEVER happened in Dr. Sherman's office. Never. Many of the staff have been there the entire time we have been patients. When an office has almost zero turn-over, that is a sign that something good is happening there. read more

How many times do you go to the Dentist and feel like you only spent a minute with the doctor? For me, until now, this has always been my case. I truly felt like Dr Sherman spent appropriate time to explain my dental health. I have been avoiding my wisdom tooth removal, but Dr Sherman explained, very nicely, the importance of why. She also did a test on my gum health, which I do not recall every having before. She also explained that the Xrays I had at another office were for check ups and not for dental records. The staff are very friendly. Everyone wore scrubs with their name embroidered on them. I sensed that the staff all supported each other and were professional. Other dental offices just don't compare! The facility was spacious. I could look out the window and see plants and birds. The interior design is cozy, yet clean and modern. There were brushed stainless-steel purse hooks at every station.
