Nice neighborhood library. The staff is friendly and helpful. Children's story time is fun. The selection of books/media and the ability to get them from any SA library is fantastic! There is a study or meeting room you can reserve. Separate children's room - I especially loved the board book horizontal "shelves" for toddlers. Outside there is a covered patio and a fun toddler to age 12 playground. They also have separate adult exercise space/playground. Plenty of shade. Plenty of parking ( except when library is used for voting). read more

A great library to stop by for any age. Good selection of books and other media for whatever your taste. The study rooms and meeting rooms are also nice and spacious. The playground is the back is great, especially if you need to get some energy out. There is also the adult exercise set up next to the playground is great too. Took a free class at the library & learned how to make a scarf using loop yarn! It was pretty easy after the instructor got me started & time flew by! Before I knew it, 53 min. had passed by! Supplies were free & she gave us extra yarn as 1/2 of the attendees didn't show up.#holidayprojects I never knew this location held classes til I ended up finding fun arts & crafts classes when I was searching thru the San Antonio Public Library system. This instructor has a slew of arts & crafts classes the next 2 months. She said they're year-round and I had no idea this branch offered classes like these?! Next week is a Jarcuterie class as well as Holiday Cookie Decorating class, Ornament Decorating class, weekly Yoga, a Teen Club & Teen Classes, Kids craft classes, painting, etc. I've taken French Classes for a couple of years at another library and bonded with a few students. It's such a joy to learn a new skill and to have resources like this library with volunteers who teach the community different skills and enhance one's life. Kudos to the volunteers and Friends of the Library who generously supply materials. They hold book sales & the proceeds go to gift cards to purchase these supplies. It's a symbiotic relationship--community gives and the library gives back to the community! read more

Cute library in a sea of trees! They have separate rooms for every age group and really nice, new facilities. I stopped by on a weekday and it was quiet due to the school year already starting. I love how each area is split by age, so you feel that you have your own personal place to go. There's several conference rooms, I didn't check if you could book them, but the room looked comfortable for a small meeting. read more

I LOVE THIS LIBRARY SO MUCH!! From the convenience of my own home, in my stretchy pants I can peruse everything the public library system has available! Books, movies, audiobooks, music, they have a great selection of everything! You can have what you want transferred from another (larger) library to this library and then just roll through their drive thru (LOVE THE DRIVE THRU!) & pick up your items on hold. They have the newest movies in dvd and blu-ray format often even before the Redbox kiosk has them. These newest movies are available for express check out of 7 days. (Older movies are available for longer checkout times). Some of their newest popular books are also available for express checkout. Sometimes these books could cause you to wait several weeks to several months on a waitlist, but if they are available on express checkout, you can nab them and just make sure you get to reading right away since there is no renewal on express checkout items. It's a small fee to print (per page) from their public computers. It can sometimes be a little complicated figuring out how to connect your library card, to the computer and to the printing/copy machine but the library folks that work here are cheerful and helpful in assisting patrons. In December 2016, they had an international festival at the library that was really neat. They showcased how different parts of the world celebrated (this review is late and should've gone up 6 months ago, sorry!) with different tables that had food, decor and demonstrations. The library was also used as a site to vote and the entire voting process was organized and easy peasy. This library is a community gem with great resources. Did I mention that I love their drive thru? I love it. I love it so much! read more

What a beautiful library! This place is hi-tech. I'm writing this review on their free wifi. They have GIANT touchscreen televisions that can surf the web, places to check out e-books, self check out kiosks, and a big screen that tells you about upcoming events, such as story time, tax help, etc. There's a room just for teens, so unless you're a teen, you can't hang out in there. They seem to have a good selection of children's and teenage books, but not such a great selection of adult non-fiction. The library is beautiful. It incorporates energy efficient architecture that uses locally quarried limestone. There's a sweeping patio that's shaded and furnished with patio furniture that'd make a great place to hang out on a hot day. They have a wide variety of meeting rooms and places to study or read. Of course, they have a large number of easy chairs to curl up in with a good book! Check this place out if you need a place to read, or take your teenager. read more

Cute small library. Staff was very nice and helpful. I love that once you have a library card you can borrow e-books and e-audio books with the Libby app! You never have to actually go to the library and you have the convenience of having them on your phone/iPad/tablet/whatever thing-a-ma-jig you use. Also the selection is really nice, not perfect, but nice! I was able to borrow some books I had planned on buying. Definitely worth checking out! read more

I came to story time twice when this branch first opened. It's been a month or so and we decided to come again. We were told due to overcrowding we had to be on the registered list. But only 3 people showed up so we were able to stay for story time. The times we attended before where super fun and interactive. This time it was just okay. I've been to other branches story time and would probably return to them before attending here again. read more

This branch is wonderful! We really enjoy going and spending time there getting books. WhT makes this library very unique is they have a drive through! I don't know if another one that does but it's very cool! They host lost of events for families during the summer. The staff is very friendly and helpful if you need anything. One note is they are very prompt. They open their doors not a minute too early or late. read more

Very nice library and friendly staff. However, the wireless internet doesn't work and there wasn't a quick resolution to the problem. So it's a little frustrating to have to drive outside of your neighborhood to find a different library with better and reliable WIFI. read more

I was really excited when this library opened back in May because it is a lot closer to my house than Parmer but it has fallen short of expectations. It is small and the staff has been less than helpful. I have had 3 bad experiences here and I don't know that I want to come back to this location even though my son likes their kids area of books. It would be nice if they would be more accommodating to the people from the community who actually want to use the library. I went there today and it was during toddler time so it is to be expected that it was noisier than usual but they had two empty rooms that could be used as a quiet space to study. They showed me a bar height wall shelf that could be used for studying with bar height metal stools that would be extremely too high to sit on for any length of time especially since they had no backs to the stools, and because of the height of the shelf and the height of the stools, you could not even put your legs under the shelf if you were sitting on the stools. Whoever planned that was not in his right mind. It should have been made desk height with comfortable chairs for someone to set up their books and laptops and have electrical outlets for charging stations for cell phones and computers. Also it would be more better to have someone who worked there who could actually help you. I have encountered this same man on two different occasions, and the first time I asked him for a description for the different classes/meetings/clubs that were offered there and present on the calendar paper sitting directly in front of him, but he couldn't answer my questions and suggested that I check the computer if I wanted to know what they were about. The classes are held in the room directly in front of his desk but yet he couldn't answer my questions and seemed bothered to try and answer my questions. Today was my second time to encounter him with a question and he said that he needed to ask him manager for permission which is just poor customer service if you don't know what you can and cannot do and don't have the power to make your own decisions. There is a teen room at the library and when I tried to enter the room I noticed the sign that says it was for teens only all the time, well it was 10:30am during the week and all the students are back in school, so why is it that you should block off the area to someone who just wants to sit in a quiet area to study while the kids are all at school? What is the harm in that? You really need to waste the space, electricity, lighting while the kids are at school all day? I understand reserving that room on the weekends or during the summer when school is out, but during the school year and they are all at school, is just absolutely ridiculous. He was like "yeah, we just kind of have to put up with it." I just walked out of there. On 3 different occasions I have had terrible experiences here, I think I will just go back to Parmer Library even though it is farther from my house. I will be letting everyone I know about my experience at this library. I really wanted to like this library, it is beautiful and "new" and it has been great to find books for my kindergartener, and is adequate for certain things, but not somewhere I will utilize on a regular basis any longer. I prefer Parmer library in the Stone Oak area. read more

We love this library; we come here once a week and check out books. I love being able to reserve books at other libraries, play in the field, the programs and the helpful staff. The kids area is nicely enclosed so we can talk about what books we'd like and the computers are always in good working order when we want to try out an educational program online. It is clean through out and we also enjoy the large patio outside. This library is close for us but I would drive here if we were further out read more
