I have been living here for nearly a year now, and just renewed my lease for another 15 months. Overall I am pleased with living here. The complex is mostly quiet and well maintained. The pool area is nice, although frequently crowded with both people who live there and guests. The complex is very accomodating to pets, and even hosted a doggy pool day when the pool was being winterized last fall. Overall the rent may be a little higher than I'd like, but the complex feels welcoming. Pros: - Fitness center and clubhouse were recently renovated and the fitness center is nice and diverse enough to fully work out in. (For basic exercise.) - Dog park is big enough to allow your dog to run around in and only rarely occupied. - Staff quick to respond to messages / concerns or requests. Cons: - 1 Garbage / 1 Recycling Receptacle for the entire complex. Trash piles frequently and is an eyesore / smell when taking trash out. Also, if you live on the other side you have to bring your trash over which I'm sure is annoying. - Snow removal in the winter can be slow, and lead to some slippery conditions if you are needing to move about in the early morning. - Frequent issues with the gate. Either call in code doesn't connect, or the gate is down for maintenance and the complex is left open for days at a time. read more

I am not a former resident , I live here now. moving and terminating my contract early because it's that bad. like previous comments I moved in it was completely filthy and bug ridden. Ants everywhere to include infestation in the dryer. the walls are paper thin and you can hear every step when someone is in the apartment above. let's get back to the bugs. There are so many rolly pollys!!!! I wake up kill 5-10, come back 30 minutes later and there 10 more. They say there is nothing that can be done. So I cancelled my contract because I can't live like this. They were nasty when I asked for a reduced moved out cost for ending my lease early. please please please do not rent here. you will thank me. If I could give -100 stars I would, this place is an absolute shit hole and they will run you for everything you have. Make up things that you "broke" to charge you more money, come into your apartment whenever you want, trash everywhere, rude staff that are no help at all. Just save yourself the trouble and find somewhere else to live. Besides the place is way too expensive for all the crap you have to deal with let alone the shitty apartment. If I could give negative stars it would be around -25 stars. If you enjoy 24 hours of dog barking and neighbors that say they will to kick your ass for complaining about their dogs then this is the place for you. Managers are no help at all. You call and leave messages and emails for no one to reply. Garbage in their one compactor for the whole property was over filled on a weekly basis. Mounds of garbage pilled up with rodents enjoying a feast. Paper thin walls to enjoy your neighbors tv, music and parties. Had a water leak that took months for them to fix and then months to paint the ceiling. Never did finish the job. Again the managers did nothing to fix. Now as I move out they come up with things that are broke in the appliances. Apartments were built in 2013 and trying to get me to pay for stove drip pans that are 10 years old. Of course they're not good. Shelf in the 10 year old cheap ass fridge is cracked. At what point do they replace these old rundown appliances? Good luck if you rent here you'll need it. Lots of better and newer options than this rundown shithole. One last very important thing. If you're going to rent an apartment here and you have a garage under your apartment you're going to have a big surprise. Those garages are used as a front door for your neighbor. if there was 0 star I would give them that. disgusting apartment on move in date. food, hair and unclean toilets and sinks from previous renter. cleaners for these places obviously don't exist. parking is terrible regardless what unit you have. staff doesn't do anything to help. and worst of all the move out cost being over a thousand dollars that I paid on time, ends up going to collections. what a joke of a place. over priced and crummy people. there's much better places to rent from. much newer, better appliances, and better layouts for hundreds of dollars cheaper. These people have no regards to the disabled community. My mother and disabled sister rented here for less than a year , yes they had to break the lease. We had legit reasons as to why , due to changes in my disabled sisters's life, as well as others. According to the Illinois dept of human services , if a disabled tenant requests to leave early due to accommodation issues, they should be able to accommodate. I went to the manager over a month in advance to tell her our situation, and why I have to break the lease early. She said there's nothing she can do. She did not even tell me that there is a request we can put in due to my sister being disabled. I had to do my own research of the disabled rights, which she did not provide at all. She did not help in any manner and steered us in the wrong direction. We asked to speak to the regional manager , and she did not provide us with her information. We asked her more than once for regional managers phone number, but were never given it and told they cannot do anything. Again , according to IL dept of HS, disabled have the right to request to leave early for accommodation reasons. I'm not happy with this community and the manager. Also to mention it's 6,000$ to break a lease , WHICH IS A RIP OFF. Don't waste your time here. No one here cares about you or has the time to return your phone call or even forward you go the regional manager. After finally paying the lease termination fee, the manager STILL did not provide the regional managers information. Ill say this again, no regards to the disabled community at all. Being in the healthcare field myself, I would not want any disabled individual to be living here. Of course, the nice reviews you find here are most likely from individuals who are not disabled, but if you are, no regards to you whatsoever. read more

Peter in the office is very unprofessional. First after two years of living there and me asking what my rental increase would be, the "new" lease was slipped under my door. I was given one week to sign new lease with a increase of $180, or it was there notice for me to get out. Now, I heard this was happening as neighbor after neighbor moved out. When I approached the office I was directed to Peter who said if I signed a 18 month lease he would only increase $40. Not bad??? Think again two new neighbors on first floor with a garage were paying $140 less. At that point I decided to move. I was warned by multiple people that they would do whatever to keep my deposit. I cleaned and had carpets cleaned, and have pictures which I emailed to my Attorney. Did walk thru with Jim(Great Guy) and all seemed well. He found a bleach stain on carpet and a spot on the wall. I was happy! Called to check today on refund only to be told by Peter that they took over a $1000 because of how bad my carpets were. I said I signed off with Jim. Peter's response was Jim isn't a carpet expert. I said I sent that paperwork to my Attorney, did you change it after? This is horribly unprofessional. I have pictures!!!! Ashley and Curtis in the office are great to deal with. The maintenance staff is great too. I think corporate needs to look into Peter if this is how he is going to continue to run things. I was planning on living there for the next three years until the $180 increase! read more

So far so good. It is very nice and well kept here. I love the fitness center and our apartment. It's unnecessarily expensive though. Rent shouldn't be more than $1100 due to some short comings. There is only one trash bin for the entire property. The walls are very thin; I can hear the neighbors pressing buttons on their microwave. I can hear their washer and dryer & sometimes I can hear them talking. Last but not least, parking!!! Parking sucks. It's very hard to find a park by our building after 6p on weekdays and after 10p on weekends. read more

Very nice apartments. I've stayed there for short term housing 5 different times. Very expensive. When you're on the first floor you can hear every move made upstairs. There's a nice park right next to the apartments with a basketball court, soccer field, baseball diamond, and jungle gym. Great location off of rte 59. There is a target and Walmart right across the street. read more

If you're looking for a really nice apartment, Enclave on 127th in Plainfield is what you're looking for. Beautiful apartments in a gated community. The pool and workout area are top notch! Plenty of space and grass to walk your dog and pet stations everywhere. They even have a pet wash station and a car wash area. I can't wait to use the community grill this spring while hanging out by the pool. The staff are always willing to take care of your needs and offer fun events throughout the year. You won't be disappointed!! read more

The good reviews on here have got to be paid reviews. It's awful I had to even give this joke of a "luxury community" a star. This place is nothing more than a disgrace. Where do I start: the apartments are so cheaply built, you can hear everything your neighbors above you, below you, and around you say and do. There are termites and rats everywhere. The garbage area is always so full and smells awful. The grounds are dirty with dog poop everywhere you look. There is police in the parking lot every other night because of all the fighting between neighbors and not to mention the office staff and "community manager" Shirle doesn't care about the residents as long as rent is paid you can do whatever you want. This place is an absolute joke. Lies lies lies. Turn away and look elsewhere. They make it seem all nice and clean when you tour but it's far from what they make it seem. These apartments are not worth the rent they charge. You have been warned, Stay away!!!!!! read more

We lived here from July - December 2016. I loved this apartment. I accepted a job in Joliet, and had to find a place close enough to work. The amenities were awesome: Washer/Dryer in unit, dishwasher, built in wine rack, kitchen island (with storage), LOTS of cabinet space, and walk-in closets. I can tell you, I really miss living here. The price is steep for the area, but I felt I was getting my monies worth. The unit was clean and looked amazing (who doesn't love high, vaulted ceilings?), the front office kept everything nice and clean, and maintenance was always on top of things. The walls weren't too thin. Once and awhile I could hear bass, but I couldn't make out anything intelligible. And location...? Right off of 127th Street and Rte 59. There's a Ross, Target, Walmart.... The only reason we left is, I accepted another position and moved out of state. Everyone in the office was super nice, and made the transition to move very easy. I rented a 1 bedroom for my daughter in 2014 under the old management, and moved her out under the new management 1 year later. Under either management, there was a lack of professional customer service, blind oversight to the lack of security (the gates look secure, but I have seen cars easily sneak in right behind me), slow repair of fitness machines, and misrepresentation of charges for the internet hook-up ($100 fee was supposed to be waived). But worst was how I was put into collections shortly after moving out because I contested the $200 charge for cleaning the apartment, which in my original contract clearly stated would not be accessed if the apartment had no damage. When we moved in my daughter, I repeatedly ask what the no damage clause meant and the manager replied no holes larger than 1mm in the wall and no pet damage. When we moved out, I asked the daytime manager to inspect and verify the apartment did not need professional cleaning, he said the was short staffed and couldn't look at it. I made several phone calls, and wrote letters to clarify the excess charge, but never received a return letter or phone call. Instead I was dumped into collections, all for a measly $200. This company is all about making a quick buck so renter beware- they also don't honor their contracts so protect your credit score and pay up whatever they charge, you have no choice. In summary, it's relatively clean, good location, thin walls, sketchy security, fitness room always under repairs, overpriced and will throw you into collections without good faith communication. read more

I have sent several maintenance requests that were fulfilled with in a few hours, Ashley in the front office was beyond helpful in answering my questions about the lease, Wayne was able to help fix issues in my apartment over and over, so happy that this complex has made a turn around. read more

The apartments and community look nice at first glance. But don't let that fool you. We signed a 13 month lease for a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom for $1,500 a month. I have never been more miserable in my entire life. I knew the place was going to be a joke on the 2nd day there when we came home from the grocery store to dog Shit on front of our door. The neighbors below us were grotesque. They let their dog shit and piss all over their patio. The walls are paper thin- we listened to dogs bark continuously day & night from all rooms in the apartment. One of the bathroom vents LEAKED. We made mention to the office staff and maintenance team numerous times and they all shrugged it off, until one staff member told us we taking too hot of showers & have the air conditioner on too high.. We also had a water stain on the ceiling which was never fixed or addressed. The gate was broke frequently & when it was working, other residents would not let their guests in so there would be a line of cars waiting to enter the complex. There was dog shit and garbage all over. The recycling bin and garbage bin were constantly overflowing. If you have to park anywhere near the recycling bin- expect to have to walk over garbage several times to get to your car during your lease. There was garbage in and around the pool too. The parking lots & sidewalks were rarely cleared of snow in a timely manner. They do not mention beforehand that several times during your lease they will come into your apartment to do "maintenance". You have no say in the day or time and they are very rude about switching your assigned date and time. When they do come to do the maintenance, they sign off that they checked everything and they certainly do not. Please tell me how they checked all the smoke detectors when they never even went into all the rooms with detectors? The office staff is something else. Ashley is flat out rude. Kurt makes you feel uncomfortable and cannot help you. You cannot blame them for their behavior tho because the office manager Pete is not any better. He is just as rude, unprofessional, and incompetent. We made several complaints, with Pete and Kurt, which come to find out were never documented. One day I walked into the office while Kurt and Pete were talking in an office. They stopped talking & Pete looked out at me and quietly told Kurt "I can't stand her". Is that how management acts nowadays? Also, the office continuously called us leaving messages to rent or come view an apartment.. While we were residents paying them $1,500 a month. They are unorganized and have no clue as to what they are doing or how to run a community. They asked for proof of renters insurance months after we moved in and when we moved out Ashley told us we didn't need to give them any sort of documentation that the carpets were cleaned even tho the move out letter said we had to. When I asked her about it she said "oh yeah". The residents of this place are another story. People drive through the parking lots very fast. I was almost hit walking to take my trash out several times and almost hit in my car more times than I can count. People let their children climb on part of the roof of the office building and leave their toys all over the place. It was a zoo. This was my first apartment experience & my last, thanks to the Enclave. read more
