Incredible customer service. They'll even call to tell you they increased their rate by $300 per month!

I know better than to write a review for a place before moving out. Keep that in mind as you're…read morereading some of these "5 star" reviews. While I would've liked to leave a better review, my move out experience has wiped out any positive experience I may have had here. I've rented from 4 different apartment complexes and a townhome, and this is simultaneously the most intensive cleaning I've ever had to do and the most I've ever been charged for an apartment complex. 3 of my family members and I spent at least 8 hours of our day cleaning this one-bedroom apartment, and money buying the exact cleaning products recommended. 32 hours of labor total in cleaning. It has been over a month going back and forth with them on this. They attached pictures to my move out statement with zero description. I've asked multiple times what I'm being charged for because legally in the state of IL and in the lease I signed, I should not be charged for normal wear and tear, and the apartment looks clean in the pictures they attached. Each time I've been told they take pictures of everything in the apartment, and they're not necessarily related to the charges. I was directed to speak to Jake Morton regarding the issue. He proceeded to tell me that the cleaning charge is for the water stains in the sink and a few marks on the outside of the dishwasher. He said "dirt" is different than normal wear and tear, and a water stain is "dirt." The marks on the dishwasher are from where I was told to clean/wipe the outside of the dishwasher - not damage. He said I was charged for carpet dent removals and steam cleaning of carpet because it was not professionally cleaned. In the move out checklist, it only states to vacuum the carpet well. Nowhere in the lease does it state there would be a standard steam cleaning charge. They legally cannot charge me for this. There were not any stains in the carpet to warrant "damage" requiring this; it was all normal wear and tear. He would not listen to any reason and thought gaslighting was appropriate in this situation... They've charged me for turning over the apartment, which is their responsibility as landlord. It has been made clear to me they have no intention of making this right unless I take legal action. This apartment complex may suit you well as long as you're giving them money, but as soon as you move out, they are greedy and deceptive and will charge you for anything they possibly can because they don't think you'll do anything about it.

Beware move out fees! We rented here for 2 years and kept the apartment in great condition and i…read morewas still charged ridiculous cleaning fees. Followed the stupid lengthy list they required and still got charged! Ridiculous.

Ooooh where do I start?! First off, the rent is extremely high for value. And yeah you get all the…read moreamenities but once you start living there you realize it isn't worth it. They don't keep up on the grass or lawn service. Upon moving in, I found that there were multiple beer cans left in our kitchen drawers, and behind the UNFINISHED cabinet. I reported this to the property manager only to hear "we hire independent contractors, theres nothing we can do" Uhm what?! Make sure your freaking team isn't drinking on the job!!! Second, almost nothing is communicated to residents. I lived there from June 2021- June 2022. After moving out, I discovered that the property has held multiple events in the clubhouse, that were never mentioned in emails for residents- only posted on instagram. Why aren't all residents included in these "resident events"? Second- no communication to us when we were moving out. Just "drop the keys off this day, this time, thanks" AND I had to call them to get that info, they did not reach out to me. I'm not sure if all apartments are like that but it seemed pretty unprofessional to me. Also! Big break in problem.... Other residents have actually been broken into but for me, I was approached by a young man while getting my mail. He explained that he just moved in, next day I get a call from the property manager saying this man was saying he stays with me, but doesn't know my name. I advised I never met this man before yesterday, all he did was approach me one time. But he did watch me walk back into my apartment. I hoped they would call the police and kick him out, but I saw him wandering the property days after that. All in all, The Romeoville Seasons is like any other development... run by an unresponsive group of people that don't really care how you're living.
