Just an additional note on the "follow ups" provided by Metro59. Don't bother giving them a call... if Nicole is still at the helm of these locations you won't receive a response within a week if you're lucky. They claim she reached out but the truth of the matter is I had to PHYSICALLY go in weekly to try to get back a response to the noise complaints/property complaints in order to actually receive an iota of feedback. The only time she actively reached out to myself or my wife was when we attempted to go over her head to their corporate office to get a response. Also wanted to outline the "solutions" provided by Metro59 in our situation: Pay a transfer fee to move to a different unit in another building (where we'd also be paying more rent because the market value is higher) and lose your terrace access. So.. pay more to get less and have to move. Ideal with an infant right? Stay in the unit for anywhere between 30-45 days (obligatory notice) and pay 1-2 months rent to break the contract. These are laughable. While they may claim to adhere to the Fair Housing Laws... they completely dismiss the Covenant of Quiet Enjoyment. Our only other option to not be penalized and live in this awful environment was to find someone to relet (mind you, not sublet... relet - they had to go through the same background checks/credit score checks you would for a new lease). This is where Nicole really shined... She made snide comments when we offered up candidates who came to see the units, and upsold one on a bigger unit while we did the legwork. Her comments included referring to our candidates as "fictitious." Really... top notch customer service there VillageGreen. She then went on to say, "My life would be 10x easier if you would just leave right now." Classy. I'm sorry we tried to hold your office to a standard you claim to be at.. but you scoffed and huffed when we tried airing any sort of frustrations out. (I know it's not just a single time offense either - I've spoken with other residents and they've all expressed the same concerns.) read more

Once again, I'm sharing my experience regarding the noisy neighbor situation. Nothing has been done about the obscenely loud neighbors who live above me. Obscene noise such as stomping, etc., is still happening. If you're looking for peace and quiet, especially after a long day's work, then you won't get it here at Metro 59, unfortunately. In addition, you'll pay ridiculously high rent (that's well above the market rent in the area. It was WELL over the market price, even before the current economic situation.) So, you're paying ridiculous prices, and getting neighbors who don't care about the amount of noise they make. In addition, they (the neighbors) will deny it and claim that the neighbors ABOVE them is responsible for the noise YOU hear. It's the noisiest place to live, ever! Spend your money at a property that has proper insulation, considerate neighbors, and Owners / Managers, that will solve issues (especially those issues concerning inconsiderate neighbors.) read more

This is the most wonderful community! It's beautiful, clean and quiet. Ivan and the entire team are unbelievable. Every person in the office is so nice and professional. The maintenance team does a great job. It's rare I have an issue, but when I do, the service is prompt and completed correctly the first time. While the apartments, property and location are nice the leasing office is not to be trusted. We recently had discussions around renewing our lease. They gave us our renewal rate 9 days prior to having to give notice should we decide to move (which is surprisingly earlier than what our neighbors experienced). In addition, during our negotiations around the renewal they had borderline illegal business practices as it relates to the Fair Housing Act. Live here if you chose, but beware that the leasing office and likely Village Green (Management company) is lacking in the moral compass department. My concerns around this have caused me to report to the Better Business Bureau. read more

Moved into a very spacious 1 bedroom apartment almost three weeks ago and I absolutely love it here. My neighbors are quiet and the hallways are always clean!The apartment was in good condition when we moved in, and the staff was on top of everything for our move in. Decent place to live in. The new management team is horrible though. When we were moving out they 1. Charged us a "cleaning/ fee". 2. Told us that they told mentioned us this explicitly/specifically during their move out inspection The problem I was told about the "move out inspection" results 2 weeks after the actual inspection and only after I asked them to spell out what the very vague "Cleaning/Repair" charges on my last bill was. How should one actually handle a move out process? 1. Mention to your customer that they'll be a move out inspection BEFORE they move out, with a checklist of things that are part of the inspection. 2. Ask if they would like to be part of the move out inspection. 3. Communicate promptly the results of the move out inspection. Promptly meaning 3 business days. This was the case with the last 3 places I rented from, but not metro59. So, if you rent from metro59, fully expect to have your deposit disappear with random charges on move out. read more

Please stop and read. If you are looking for an apartment this is a friendly warning to not sign here if you wish to be treated as a normal human being. As a recent previous resident and seeing how the place and management function on the inside it is not a pretty picture overall. As a resident you very seldomly will be respected and only treated and as head count or a number to fill what seems to be a quota or pressure from upper village green management to fill vacant apartments. These are vacant for a reason. Do not throw your money away on this place as the new looks and value are fading at an exponential rate. read more

Metro59 is not a great place to live but an ok place, I was looking for a place I can stay until a decide to buy but unfortunately this is most likely a one term lease for me. I wouldn't recommend living here, there's other places in Naperville that are better for the price. I'm sure all the good reviews came from contest entries. Pros: · New apartments, everything new · Apartment layout is nice · Building is kept clean · Dog Park · Clubhouse · Gym · Indoor Parking Cons: · Some buildings have cheap washers and dryers and others have better brands. The washing machine in my unit broke down after a few uses, staff R was rude when I asked for an eta for fixing · No dog breed restrictions- Pit bull mixed attacked my 12 pound dog in the dog park, apartment management did nothing about it. You'll need to carry pepper spray for protection, if you have a small breed · Material between floors is not the best, upstairs neighbor is extremely noisy with walking and stomping sleep deprived at times because of his noisiness. Can hear stomping, slamming cabinets and screeching of chairs. · Rent is consistently declining for 2 bedroom with den when I pay a higher amount and other folks are pay much less. read more

The ladies in the office are super duper nice and helpful, maintenance team is amazing and super efficient. Love love this new apartment complex. My fiancée and I have been living here for about half a year now and so glad we made the switch from tgm springbrook. Everything in the building in always clean, pool area is beautiful with a waterfall and hot tub, nice grilling and play room, our apartment is wood floors which I love and granite countertops with an open floor plan. I love how much natural lighting we get with the floor to ceiling windows. Front office is always attentive and helpful. There really isn't anything negative I can say about metro 59 at the moment. I have lived here for just over a year with my now fiance and pup. We just renewed our lease and I could not be happier. The staff is always present, welcoming, and willing to help any way they can. The apartments are fresh and always smell and look clean. The amenities they have for dogs are great, from the park, the the potty bags behind the building, to a dog wash station in the garage .the neighbors are also great, as it has been a place to meet new people over a game of pool, poker, or at the pool. I've done my current job for about 10 years and every year I find an apartment to live in for 4 months. We were crunched for time and had limited options this summer so we had to take what we could find. I signed the agreement without looking at the lease end date because I was driving across the country and looking to get it done. I came to find out instead of ending in September, like me and my wife both thought it was for. Instead, it's November. I know Nicole (in the office) said she would not have done a short term lease for that length and I said I've done my job for 10 years and would never have agreed to that long. So all in all they won't budge and we are stuck with an extra 2 1/2 months of rent and 0 accountability from there end. Other things about why you shouldn't live here is it is not a family friendly environment. They have more things for dogs than kids. Not insulated and you hear everything above you and they hear everything below. Spiders and bugs everywhere. We usually kill 2-3 spiders daily and we are on the 3rd floor. The hall ways never get vacuumed...I know because we spilt sugar on our first day moving in and it's still there by the elevator. 0 stars and much better places to live than here. I've moved 26 times in my life and this is top 3 worst places I've lived in and I think this is one of my first negative reviews. Best of luck to them. read more

i just moved into these apartments two weeks ago, and have been in love with them every step of the process. marco assisted us and was very accommodating given the climate right now with COVID. he wore a mask, and made sure he opened all doors, cabinets, closets, etc. they really think through every detail as to ensure everyone's safety. he even brought me treats for my dogs, which was the best display of hospitality i've ever seen. this complex is what a luxury apartment should be like. read more

Apartments are nice and so is the management staff, however I find very consistently that the common areas such as the lobbies, elevators, hallways and gym, etc are not cleaned, vacuumed, etc on a regular basis. And can get dirty quickly. Living in a pet friendly environment these areas should me maintained regularly and they are not. I work in the hospitality industry and hotels are maintained consistently and always look anesthetically pleasing. A cleaner environment would make me feel better about where I reside. Rental rates are not cheap and should reflect a more maintained property. read more

Hank in the Maintenance Department at Metro 59 Apartments is a great "Mr. Fix-it" and gentleman. We feel so lucky that he is part of the Metro 59 Team. He always shows up promptly, knows exactly what to do and never leaves a mess. We had two requests the past two weeks, and both times he took the time to listen to the problems we were experiencing, and both times he sincerely wanted to solve the problems. One involved a kitchen cabinet door and the other involved both toilets in our unit. Honestly, if we had to repair it in our own, we wouldn't have a clue where to begin. You can just tell that Hank is very experienced and a true professional! Plus, during these Covid days, it's very comforting that Hank follows all the Covid protocol for our safety and for his. Hank is knowledgeable, personable and genuinely cares that the repairs are done to our satisfaction. It doesn't get better than that!! Thank you, Hank!! You are one in a million!! read more

Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the move in process. From the beginning they welcomed us and did a great job explaining everything about the apartment. We were sold when we learned about the terrace and garage parking. Lots of nice amenities and a good location. They were so accommodating and even offered to paint accent walls and add additional shelving in our closets prior to move in! The amenities are great and it's across the street from the train! We have been living here since March and love everything about this complex. The staff is friendly and efficient. The amenities provide us with plenty of things to do without leaving out community. Everyone is very friendly and easy to get along with. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for a place to live and you commute downtown Chicago. read more

I love living at Metro 59! After moving SEVERAL times int he past few years because of school, it was nice to finally have a post graduation HOME. At Metro 59 apartments, I have grown up as an individual and together with my fiance. I worked downtown Chicago and the commute was a 5 minute walk and easy to navigate. Once I found a job closer to home, being off of Route 59 and close to the I-88 exit has been amazing. It is quick to get to work now! I have a puppy as well and our dog friendly community has been welcoming and helpful raising a pup. Nobody here feels unsafe with so many dogs. There are constantly children playing outside and they are safe as well. When we have friends over, we can go to either the 2nd floor terraces or the clubhouse. Not only at the apartments are there options for entertainment, but we visit the MANY restaurants near us and the Hollywood Palms as well. Another amazing part? The downtown area is minutes away -at most 15 minutes. (depending on the traffic). I highly recommend this place. Being a post grad and feeling like royalty is fantastic! This place is HOME! read more
