AMAZING, seriously couldn't have been better. I had my wedding back in November of last year and apparently left reviews for every vendor except these guys OOPS. I had a tight budget after a massive wildfire passed through my parents home September of 2015 in the middle of planning the wedding. I searched for fairly priced catering.... like almost dirt cheap, but won't give anyone food poisoning kind of area and stumbled upon Encore Catering's website. I talked to Angie and told her my situation and how I needed food for about 100 guests but on a very tight budget. She worked up a menu that shocked my parents and I and even added a food station for kids. When the day came we honestly thought the food would be subpar due to the price because as they say "You get what you pay for" and that is brutally honest in the wedding business. But my gosh! The food was great! And my new husband basically ran off with the basket of beer bread (which I have to admit myself was pretty awesome) Next to the venue (Elks Lodge ballroom) the food was the most complimented. Everyone seemed to love the buffet style which I had been told by other brides was supposedly tacky, but they decorated the tables to make it look like a feast fit for royalty. Stephanie, Angie and their staff are beyond amazing! They catered our wedding of 230 people 3 days ago and our guest have been raving about the food. From the moment we first met, they have been incredible in helping us through this process. Outside of the food tasting delicious, there experience and knowledge were so helpful in the process. During our initial meeting we talked about the type of menu we wanted for the wedding. I wanted to incorporate some of our Mexican dishes into our menu because a lot of my family only eats Mexican food but we wanted to serve Italian or dinner. Stephanie created some delicious appetizers, including a ceviche that everyone couldn't get enough of. They really took interest in our theme and reflected it in the beautiful presentation of the buffet table. They even made sure we had appetizers ready for my husband and I to eat before we went into the reception. The quality of the food was great and the price when compared to other catering companies was beyond reasonable. The fact that there services is phenomenal was a bonus. I didn't know this until the end of the night but my brother went up to one of the staff to ask if they had any milk for my 1 year old nephew, when they didn't he ran out to grab some milk for him. Stephanie and Angie and their staff were amazing! They provided catering services for my wedding of about 90 people this past weekend. I was referred to them through a friend, and once I had a tasting of their food, I can understand why anyone would refer them. Their food is sooo Delicious! Stephanie and Angie did a wonderful job of working to get below my budget and still provide delicious and upscale food. Our wedding was held in a fairly rustic outdoor area near Lake Tahoe, so it was going to be a challenge to provide hot food for our guests. They worked around it by grilling up Kabobs onsite and the rest of the food being cold food. I was a bit weary about not having another hot option to go with the Kabobs, but they did a wonderful job of pairing the Kabobs with a number of salads, fruits and bread that was just perfect, and I didn't miss a thing with just the one hot item. Speaking of bread.. their housemade beer bread is to die for. Absolutely scrumptious! The way they decorated the Buffet table was on point to match the ceremony decor, even though I ended up forgetting to send them a picture of what we were having as centerpieces. If I could give them more than 5 stars I definitely would!! I met Kristin at the Bridal Expo and immediately wanted to book them just solely on her personality and a meatball they had as a sample food (yes I said it, a meatball had me sold. Hands down the best meatball any of us had ever had)! When my fiance and I went in to meet with them, Kristin and Angie were the sweetest ladies who were straight forward, helpful, and very respectful of our tastebuds, budget etc. When we went in for a food tasting we immediately booked them.
