No rhyme or reason to what they accept or reject, and owner is extremely snooty when going through your items, rejecting things for imagined imperfections. She also 100% treats people differently based on their appearance - if I come in after work and am dressed up, she is more likely to take my items. If I come in clean and stylish workout clothes instead, my items get rejected. Definitely preferences things like lilly pulitzer and tory burch so if that's your style, maybe you'll be happy. I personally don't appreciate being made to feel as if i've stolen items off the back of a truck and talked down to.

So many consignment stores are wildly overpriced, but this one hits the perfect sweet spot between quality and affordability. It's also never overcrowded with merchandise, which makes shopping actually enjoyable so no digging through overstuffed racks or wasting hours trying to find one good item. The manager does an amazing job keeping inventory fresh, too. I stop in about once a week and always find something new. My most recent finds were a madewell beanie and north face parka. My style leans trendy rather than purely name-brand, but i love when I score Frame jeans for around $50, Veronica Beard dresses for about the same, or a like-new Lululemon Scuba hoodie for around $40. At most other consignment shops, those pieces would easily be well over $100. As a consigner, I really appreciate how fair and knowledgeable they are. At the end of the day, we only get paid when items actually sell--and they truly know what sells. If they pass on something, I don't take it personally. I'd rather donate it than have it sit. Using the Frame jeans example, if they sell for $50, I make $25. Could I maybe sell for more on eBay? Sure, but that hassle isn't for me, and the convenience here is absolutely worth it. One important note for new consigners: please review the website before bringing items in. It clearly explains what they accept and how to prepare items, and the process is insanely efficient as I'm usually in and out in under 10 minutes. There's even a helpful video that walks you through everything. It's frustrating (and honestly awkward) when people come in unprepared it slows things down for everyone. I love this shop, and I truly think you will, too! Whether you're looking to shop, consign, or both, this is hands-down one of the best consignment stores in the Arlington area.

They sent out an email blast to all clients stating summer sale and An EXTRA 40% off in store only. Went in to purchase a dress and the girl had no idea of what email i was mentioning. I pulled it up and she proceeded to say "oh sorry I've been gone for two weeks"... again terrible service to not have employees in the know. And would not honor the email THEY sent out. I also planned to purchase other things as well but I was so turned off by this. They lost a purchase and a customer- will not be purchasing from here again as good customer service would be to honor the email mistake they had seem to make. Plus the dress is still more expensive than other places - give business to those that value customers and are willing to own up to their mistakes!

The edit is solid -- everything from Hermes (yes, I spotted a pair of immaculate riding boots, sadly not my size) to The Row, Prada, Chanel... even some more accessible gems from brands like Mansur Gavriel. I lucked out and found a pair of Prada Monolith loafers that are still available in-store at full price -- except mine were half the cost and looked like they'd maybe been worn once. Maybe. Such a good score, plus I got to support a small business, which always feels better than buying direct from some corporate mega-retailer. And shout out to Julia, who works there -- she was fantastic. Super helpful, super knowledgeable, and when the right shoe went missing (yes, really), she helped me tear the place apart to find it. I had almost given up, but then I spotted a Prada box... and there it was. Victory. Not only was the staff lovely and welcoming - the glass of wine offered was such a nice touch - they were incredibly helpful as well in finding me a gorgeous red Armani dress at a fantastic price. It only gets better! One of the employees (Krista) noticed that there was a small fix that needed to be done on the shoulder. Before I could even blink she had a seamstress in from a local shop, who came and got the dress to repair on their dime. I honestly didn't notice the issue until Krista pointed it out, she's got an eagle eye. Krista was amazing at coordinating the dress pickup a few days later. I couldn't get out of calls from work so she got the dress delivered to me! I cannot get over how amazing they are, and will ALWAYS recommend Ella Rue. Consider me a customer for life!

Two stars for cute clothes…read more Zero stars for gossipy staff who completely ignored me while I was in the store (including when I had to edge around one staff member who was blocking the doorway). Not even a "hello." I am fairly certain the staff members took one look at my Saturday outfit and decided I couldn't afford the items in this store. Wrong. (Not Julia-Roberts-in-Pretty-Woman-level-wrong, but wrong nonetheless). Dear staff, I don't really care why you were both complaining about the myriad poorly behaved children you have encountered lately, or the poor parenting choices leading to said poorly behaved children. I would have bought the cute jean jacket I was looking at if you had deigned to acknowledge me. You didn't. So I'm getting it online. Management- train your staff members.

The only thing I could purchase really was the jewelries, accessories, and housewares. They have a lot of brand lines and items that are picked out uniquely to everyone's (ok, at least my) liking.\ My sister ended up getting a gorgeous bracelet! I never really figured out the organization while I was here. They use size tags, but I think it's to split up section, not actual sizes? Or they do use them for sizes but items were very misplaced... The low lighting also made it difficult to look at the items sometimes. However, the prices were great, they have a wide variety of items, and I liked that there were changing rooms there. They do have a bathroom but it was out of service while I was there.
