They have a large selection of colors and services, but it's more pricey than needed. They will nickel-and-dime every chance they get. For example - they charged me for a long nails when my nails were not long (I need to be able to function and type). Also with my pedicure, they cut my toenails crooked. They say you'll get a 15 minute massage with your pedicure but it's half that. They should use a timer if they are stating massages are a specific length. Idk. I've been here a few times and I really like the salon. They are brand new and take great measures to make sure everything is clean. They have a huge selection of colors and services. They are a bit on the pricey side however. They're very nice and a good salon if you need somewhere to get your nails done. The only thing I didn't like was that they did my nails before my pedicure. Beautiful nail salon conveniently located close to Providence. That's the nicest thing I can say. Decided to try Encore Nail Bar on a Sunday afternoon. Arrived at 3:15, making sure to allow plenty of time before closing at 5:00. Was greeted with "What you want!", as I walked in and waited to be helped. When I replied, "manicure and pedicure " he looked around and said, "very busy". He then turned his head and yelled something towards the back of the salon. A young girl appeared and pointed me to a chair. No hello. I was slightly confused since I've been to many salons and have never had my nails done first. She handed me a color palette and I asked her if they had OPI colors since I knew what color I wanted. I told her the color name twice and she headed up front to a small area. Within seconds she waved me over, then returned to her chair. Wow, what a filthy, unorganized mess of old bottles. I should have left right then. I found a bottle of Big Apple Red and decided to make the best of the situation. When I sat back down she questioned me in broken English, "Why you not want gel?". Huh! I didn't realize I would be judged for not wanting gel but I definitely was. After some banter with a fellow employee in another language (obviously talking about me) she got to work. Forty five minutes later I'm done. Rushed, sloppy manicure (didn't give me a chance to wash my hands after nail file and lotion) which ended up with a gritty texture. The quickest pedicure ever. Simply said, "spa pedicure right?". Never offered to turn on the massage chair (no time for that!) and didn't present a book with services. Only one coat of color on toes. Maybe she thought I wouldn't notice or know better. Very disappointed. $52.00 later, feeling very icky. Too bad. A side note to the owner, your salon is beautiful but take some pride in it. Encourage employees to pick up and dispose of all the abandoned half consumed water bottles left by previous customers. Gross! You should also organize and clean the OPI nail polish area too. I've been coming to this one since they first opened up. Somethings have rubbed me the wrong way but I let it go but after today I'm just not feeling it anymore. I feel this place has employees that care a bit more about money than customer service. This isn't my first dip manicure. They didn't tell me it would be an hour wait. It wasn't too busy but a big family of about 6 came in for pedicures after me and we're getting helped before me. When it was my turn I got the dip but no manicure- at the regular dip price. I haven't been to many nail places but my experience here would make me never want to go back to any. I wanted to get a nail dip. It was quite simple and I had a picture. They told me to pick a color but honestly dip looks different in the jar so when I asked is this similar they guy said yes, but it was definitely not. He could have easily created it with dip but chose not to. I could have got past the colors being different but the guy clearly didn't care. Manicures are supposed to come with hand message and I didn't get that...he didn't even let me wash my hands after the dip. Also he did 3 coats on one hand and 2 on the other. So one hand is lumpy and weird and the other hand is smooth. The design I asked for was executed very nicely but that was the only good thing. $53 (including tip) for dip on a natural nail with no hand message or anything. I went with my friend and she got all the things the website said came with a manicure. Honestly I wanted to start going regularly because I have a stressful job but it was such a terrible experience. I got a powder dip and a pedicure!!! I had an appointment and when I got there they assigned a different person and she was new. She did a terrible job. I called and then went back to the salon, only for two of the employees to say "oh no they are fine". I asked a lady who was leaving and she agreed with me. I'v been here a number of time successfully. Yesterday was NOT successful! First off, technician neither spoke nor understood English. So communication was impossible. Pedicure was OK, but no more .... only OK after I told him to not use a cheese grater! The manicure was a disaster! He used (over-used) a mechanical to *smooth* my nails. Unfortunately, he also kept hitting skin. I complained four or five times ~ but when he changed to a buffer and was still hitting skin (very painful!), and after I reacted several more times without success, I finally just terminated the process (and refused to pay for the manicure!). If you are looking for a top notch experience full of wonderful customer service that ends in smooth feet, beautiful nails, and smiles all around... this ain't it. From the time we walked in, it was so unorganized. We had called A WEEK before and made an appointment for mani/pedi for a wedding party . Not sure if they were lacking on manners, but they were rude as soon as we told them we had an appointment. Honestly looks like they took a bunch of walk-ins without considering the appointments that were made. There was another group ahead of us with appointments that ended up leaving because they had been waiting so long. We ended up sitting down and waited another 15/20 mins in the pedicure chair... mind you, without water. Yup, they didn't even bother filling up the tubs for our feet to soak. My friend, the bride, had a sash on and a tiara saying bride... basically a flashing sign saying "hey look at me I'm special". You would think this would make is EXTREMELY easy for them to be like, oh yeah, we need to pamper her. First Lady walks up to me and sits down, I looked at her blankly and asked "umm can you please start with her?" And pointed to my friend. The lady Hannah I believe her name was, said not to worry others would be done in a second and that they would start on her momentarily (this is not exactly what she said but thought I would elevate the response). My friend assured me that it was fine (even though I could see her getting upset). Another person walked over and skipped over my friend again and started on the other girls in our party. This. This was the moment. I was done. My friend, the bride, a beautiful black women, with a flashing sign WHO SAT FIRST was now skipped over TWICE. Once an honest mistake but the second time?? So I called them out, my friend in tears, I didn't understand. I sat last, and yet was served first. I'm not the person to call discrimination but this was blatantly the case. After I made a scene, the most amazing person came to our rescue. A nail technician named Chris, She stood up and made it a point to tell the others basically like "what are y'all doing? She's the bride, she should be treated first and pampered!". Visibly upset, my friend sat there and had them finish her nails even though I told her we should leave. I asked Chris to tell the lady doing my friends feet that she won't be doing her nails. I told Chris the only way to salvage ANY of this experience was for Chris to do her nails. Chris agreed and she gave my friend a wonderful experience-She was full of kindness, understanding, and even put on music for my friend to celebrate her special day. I hate that Chris is associated with this dumpster fire disguised as a nail salon but unfortunately instead of serving beautiful nails they are serving hot garbage. Literally hours later, my friend the bride, had one of her GEL toe nails fall off without any trauma. My feet and the my other friends feet were not smooth whatsoever and the polish is uneven and chipped. We ALL got GEL... absolutely ridiculous. She didn't bother cleaning my nail beds or had me wash my hands at all... gross. I live in IOWA. IOWA. And get better service than this place. The service was AMAZING! I felt terrible walking in 15 minutes before they closed but they happily took me as a client! I was honestly expecting a rushed and get out kind of attitude but that is not what experienced! Marcus took his time and made sure my nails looked and felt great! He made sure my nails were the same length and shape! Dao did the design on my nails and made sure it's what I wanted and what colors I wanted! The only reason I'm not giving a full 5 stars is because MAYBE it was a little over priced. I went in person to book a gel manicure and a Volcano pedicure for my mother as a birthday present. I wasn't able to pay for the service in advance so they suggested a gift card, both services totaled $100. I got the gift card and the receptionist confirmed the services were booked. This is obviously a surprise and my mom received a gel manicure and REGULAR pedicure. They didn't even ask her what kind of pedicure she wanted, they just gave her a regular pedicure and went about their day like I didn't go out of my way to book specific services, they were clueless! . I called to complain and none of staff was helpful or trying to problem solve, they just reassured me of having $25 on the gift card, like it was a gift from them. I've been here twice and the first time the service was great, the second time was OK and the way they serviced my mom was a NO. Not to mention, she said the pedicure felt rushed because the tech needed to leave. This was supposed to be a relaxing pampered day for my mom for her birthday and they literally ruined it! Just moved near by and was looking for a new place to get my nails. I read the not great reviews but wanted to give it a shot. And I should have listened to the reviews. Everything was just okay. When I walked in after calling two days in advance having "made an appointment", i was shooed away and told to just sign in. No one told me what was happening or how long I would need to wait. So I just sat and waited for about 10-15 mins. It is crazy expensive though and they charge extra for everything if you aren't careful. I went in to change my dip powder nails. My nails look very mediocre. I was charged extra for shaping and all of my nails are inconsistent shape and length. The powder is uneven, my nails point different directions. My hands are dry as can be, tho this Service is advertised as a manicure. The bare minimum was done to get me in and out as quick as possible. I will say they have a large selection of colors on display, but I was only given a few options. So if you come in I would ask to see exactly what color you're looking for because they do have it it's just hard to get them to get it for you. I normally do designs on my nails but right out of the gate I was nervous so I just went with a plain color and I'm glad I did. When you walk in the first sign you see is a sign that says please make sure you write down the name of your nail technician so that we can address any problems you might have in the future. That should've been my sign to go but I'll alas I wanted to try it out. People seemed kind, and the place was clean and well decorated. Maybe powders just not their best medium. Sad to say I do not recommend, I went in really hoping this would be my new spot, but it would cost me less money to drive back to winter park and get food service at a better rate. Because right now I spent more money than I would have at my old salon for way less and what I got was not great. Worst nail salon ive ever been to in the davenport area !! Would not recommend dont risk it ! Most arent really nails techs they lay acrylic horribly and to just give you a little insite on my last visit ever as a customer they did not have the same color acrylic they use the last time im going in for a ( filling ) So the supposebly blonde head nail tech say he does not know the color and then goes and ask the lady who last did my nails and she said she dont know but does not even care to look or find it for him LOL he keeps commenting you need to remember the color they use mind you i thought i was the customer not the nail tech goes to show you they must be making there own color acrylic ! He goes and does a filling with a way lighter pink i thought would work but it looks horrible it was light enough to see how far nail has grown out i told him i do not like this like you could clearly see my nail and he goes and saids im going to fix it for you and brings me a gel book and tells me to pick a color i was never going in for gel i wanted my acrylic to be pink and just a glittery line and clear top coat so since he use a gel he cannot use regular nail polish so fine i dont mind paying for the line but for Gel color he said he would use to fix it he never said he was going to charge me for that i then ask for a manager who did not want to speak to me but then sent over a male to me who i tryed to explain how i felt as a customer who cut me off and kept saying you need to remember the color its freaking acrylic not a gel nail color ! Horrible pedicure! Never going back here they rushed my pedicure the lady even forgot the hot stones until I realized it before I paid. My actual pedicure was literally like 10-15 mins because she spent so much time on my toe nails(removing polish, shaping and polish) I paid $65 for the worst pedicure ever and when mentioned everything even the missed hot stones they all laughed like it was a joke, didn't offer a discount or anything. I am here at the Laufman encore nail bar located next to Publix I have you know that this is one of the most worst nail salons I have ever been to they do not accurately keep their things sanitize not only that but they will overprice you they act as if they don't care they have dropped in one of their electronica all devices in my foot bath and not only that but they decided not to complete their actual promise to me. I had ordered a pedicure spa pedicure $28 it is supposed to come with toenail shaped dry cuticles are removed legend massage sugar scrub with hydrating lotion and a wrapped hot towel finished off with your polish your choice let me tell you none of that happened on top of that I had asked for a French tip on my toes with an extra five dollar charge no problem guess what they didn't get that right I woke up with my toes all blue and my hands not done I asked is simply speak to a manager or have my toes switched around so they were right and I was told I needed to leave no they did not want to fix their problems they also chose not to reimburse me as a first time customer and also as somebody that was willing to get much more done they do not speak English they do not clearly care if you are happy or not they did not finish my $28 procedure for my pedicure instead they did not give me the sugar scrub with hydrating lotions and then they did not wrap my feet in hot towels and they finishOff with the polish of their choice which was a full oh all over cover color which I paid for a f read more

My second visit to this Nail bar is nothing like I've experienced before! First the guy who starts my pedicure is so busy having an in-dept conversation with his coworker seemed irate from the way they both spoke who knows .. He did my pedicure ok but once it came to my manicure things got a little painful. He used an electric type file to go up into my mail bed and actually drew blood on 3 of my finger beds (oh sorry mamma ) was his response and giggles .. today my finger is red and very tender I went for a pedicure and manicure not a torture chair treatment ! I feel as tho they rush through these treatments and constantly look up and talk with each other instead of paying attention to what they are doing !! I have painful arthritis in both hands and as I explain please don't squeeze my fingers too much but it falls on deaf ears Im afraid ! He finished by running cream through my hand and fingers moving them quite roughly my fingers are fused ! so those bones don't bend ! I truly wish I could get someone who understands English to listen to me I won't be back!! plus its more expensive than a lot of other Salons .
