This attitude starts at the top and is a pervasive attitude throughout the facility. My mom has been a resident for over a year and we have been very pleased. It's been such a relief to know that Mom is safe and being well cared for. I have cameras in her room and visit regularly throughout the week so I'm very aware of the attention she receives and it gives me peace of mind to know that she is content, well liked, receiving good medical attention and getting the therapy she needs, not to mention participating in fun activities and making friends. They schedule regular assessments with the family to address any needs, preferences or concerns and my family is regularly reassured that the resident's health, comfort and satisfaction continue to be a priority.

They reported she had been taken to breakfast and lunch amongst the other patients. Terrible protocol.

My husband and I questioned them each month about insurance funding. We were assured early in October 2024 "not to worry". And yet after their failure to receive insurance approval, after their failure to notify us in a timely manner to make other arrangements for residence and rehabilitation, after more than a year of no contact from their offices, no After Care Program contact, no statements, we receive an exorbitant bill that we felt must be in error. After discussing it with CNS Lakeway directors we feel that this bill is fraudulent and punitive. We left the CNS facilities by the date they said we needed to leave or incur charges. Yet 16 months after care ended to receive this bill for $36,400 is shocking, terrifying, and painful since it represents yet another failure of CNS to provide ethical patient-centered care.

The reason I give this place 3 stars at least is for the therapy teams. It would not be fair to give this place a bad rap for the work that the CNAS And all the therapy people do.They are truly great individuals who want to ensure you're making progress and they did everything they could for my mom during her time there. She honestly loved them as if they were family. The night nurses we have had the most trouble with here, if you plan to send your loved one to Brodie ranch you must be VERY explicit about what you want in terms of care. There were many times where my mothers pain medication was simply not given on time and this caused her to have terrible pain episodes, we were often met with a lot of excuses and and fumbles when it came to getting her the right dose at the right time. While I understand my mother was one out of 18 other people in that hall and often the youngest one, her care was just as important. I was really upset that out of the 3 weeks she was there we had 3 separate instances with some night nurses who did not simply read her cart or wanted to be defiant and not administer her meds at the right time and in the right way. One time I was even called in the middle of the night by my mother who was about to be forced medication after a nurse screwed up the dosage for the night and wanted to give her pain meds 2 hours early. Honestly it's a shame to have to see your own loved one being treated with such disrespect. Bottom line: this place is how you view it, morning staff is stellar and quite amazing, they are some of the best of the best. But Brodie ranch needs to get their night people's act together. They need to read charts and they need to look after their patients rather then just medicating them to make it through the night so that they don't have to deal with them. I want this place to be a five star care facility so badly but sadly my moms care here was made harder by those who cared for her at night.

I wound up working with Joe for 7 months with weekly visits. He started out slow with some strength and flexibility routines and added more strenuous exercises as time went on. PT works and you have to trust the process. The care I received was excellent. I now work out 5 days a week and my legs are stronger than ever.
