I went to HerKares based on a referral from a friend. She was having some of the same issues I was experiencing, and she told me they were very helpful. The Southlake office is the closet one to me, so I gave them a call. They got me in MUCH sooner than I thought they would, and also had their forms online so I could fill them out beforehand to streamline everything. When I got there, it was a very welcoming, comfortable feeling office, and the staff was very nice. The practitioner listened to all my concerns, and even asked a couple questions that I hadn't thought of myself. She even answered my questions without talking down to me (as had happened before at other medical visits). Bug bonus, when I told her I am a bodybuilder, she told me she was going to run a few extra tests, just as precaution due to our strenuous training. I went back the next week to get the bloodwork results, and was able to start my hormone therapy immediately. I am VERY pleased so far, and am looking forward to working with them. read more

I have been going for a couple months so far. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I am seeing results with my hormone treatment as well. My only concern is that sometimes when I go they say "you are taking x right" and I say -"you never told me to, so No". I feel like they should have a running list of things they have asked me to take and suggest new things as needed. 10/10/25 update (original review from July 2025 below) I am still struggling with vulvar hypersensitivity. I've lost breast tissue and nipple structure due to being over prescribed testosterone. An endocrinologist did labs and confirmed my Tesosterone was way too high. I still can't wear underwear or walk normally without pain. It has been 7 weeks since my last testosterone shot. My hair is still shedding - it's very visible. I used ot have such thick hair and now it's almost all gone. My face's skin is still so oily I need to wash my face twice a day. I'm working with therapists over the distress, a vulvar specialist, I've spent over $4,000 at this point seeing specialists to try to alleviate pain, and I'm flying to see a vulvar specialist in florida in December due to my pain. I see a pelvic floor PT twice a week ($400 a week), get nerve blocks ($1000+ spent so far), have seen countless doctors that are out of insurance just so I can spend proper time with them (each visit is $500). I meet with a therapist once a week ($200 a week). I'm severely distressed/depressed over the changes that this has done to my body. The treatment plan Herkare gave me in July made everything worse when I brought up my concerns - they moved me to get a shot every 7 days instead of every 9-10 days. And that is when the hair shedding, breast tissue loss, and oily skin began. I did every 7 day shots for a little over month until my vulvar specialist & endocrinologist told me to stop immediately. I was basically being transitioned due to my body's changes. I should've just stopped cold turkey from the beginning, but the practioner at Herkare did not have the proper knowledge that a doctor would have had. Go see an actual endocrinologist, not a chain like this where there's not even a doctor on site. Original July review I have been coming here for over a year. After I started experiencing unwanted side effects of testosterone dosage being too high for me personally (libido way too high for comfort) I requested to reduce testosterone. Because I would see a different provider every visit, the communication and overseeing of my care did not warn me the danger of dropping my dosage quickly. I am now battling severe menopause symptoms at the age of 32 years old and am bed ridden due to pain. I cannot get help from this clinic & am desperate. I've seen two OBGYNs who refuse to talk about hormones with me. All other tests show no infections, etc. I'm entering a state of panic, anxiety, and hopelessness. I cannot wear clothes, walk, or live my life. I am in desperate need of help and am worried the symptoms will not improve and only continue to get worse. This has been going on since June 15. When I originally brought up my concerns to a provider a Herkare, the physician told me that the hormones would not be the culprit. But everything is pointing to low E & P being the cause. Plus my blood results came back showing really low E & P. I'm so frustrated, I don't know what to do. At this point, I regret ever coming here. I'm stuck in pain, with maybe irreversible damage to my tissue, and will most likely have dependency on more hormonal treatment in order to treat these issues and am experiencing GSM (Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause) at 32! I'm calling every doctor I can to try to get help for estrogen support ASAP, but every doctor is busy for months. I cannot wait months. Everyday I get exponentially worse. It's debilitating. I have once again left a voicemail and email/message to Herkare requesting help because every symptom points to this being related to estrogen and progesterone deficiency. I go to sleep every night crying because of how much in pain I am the past 5 weeks. read more

Update: I used to have my hormone cream sent to my local compounding pharmacy. They deliver, they're fast, and they're sweet people. Well, NOW, HK is forcing me to use THEIR pharmacy. They didn't send my info or script in after my appointment 3 weeks ago, according to the pharmacy. My provider isn't in the office at the moment, so this gets punted another day, at least. Sigh. Wonder why they're shunting everyone to their own pharmacy for compounded stuff? That's not a "corporate policy", something's definitely off there. I won't be back EVER, I'm already speaking to new providers to find one that doesn't so epically suck as HerKare. ************************* Used to be great. Good, caring care, Dania is amazing if she's even still there. I always had a hideous time getting refills, but I could work with that. Now I see a provider who doesn't know how to treat thyroid. I went in feeling like death to get my thyroid retested. "Oh you feel like garbage? Well your tsh is low so I'll drop the dose on all your meds so you'll feel worse! If you ever see them at all!" If I wanted that kind of non-care, I'd go to my GP and probably pay less and get my meds on time. Oh and they do virtual visits and the lab they send me to is close enough to walk, so that's also 80 miles round trip saved. I'm going to have to make 10 calls tomorrow to get my medication I'm out of that they just decided not to fill, that'll be fun. Don't let them keep a card on file, they'll run it religiously, and maybe excessively, but you may or may not get the services you paid for. For some reason, they've turned the front office into a giant billboard for all their med spa services. There's a sign of a great practice! Vampire Facial? NO THANKS. Just real medical care for real people, please. Why is that so difficult? Don't waste your time there. Not good beside manner. Told to take med PCP told me to stop due discomfort from med but told I didn't. If going for hormones pick somewhere else. First visit ok but second was awful. Was told by a decision I made if treatment did not work provider would be mad. And was given shot that I have never gotten before and appt was over. They got my email information wrong twice, and never sent me an email. I called and spoke to someone directly and told her my email and still didn't receive an email. I love HerKare I'm Southlake. I'm 49 and prediabetic. I felt horrible, lost 25% of my hair over three months and I honestly thought I must have cancer or something really bad because I had no drive to do anything and slept ridiculous hours. They listened to me at HerKare, were extremely forgiving when I ran late (enough stress for this gal) and they got to the bottom of all my issues. I'm feeling better, not perfect but better. I even took my 14 year old daughter there today for help and I can honestly say, we have never felt like a doctor listened more! Even my daughter is experiencing the hope I have. Their billing department is terrible. I've had insurance and have given it to them on every visit after my first visit and for what ever reason they were having computer issues or whatnot. They couldn't run my insurance. The first time they said they would call me if there was issues. They never did. I found out on my next visit they never charged my insurance and now said I had to pay for that visit and the "balance" I did... but gave them my insurance AGAIN and they still couldn't run it. I went for another visit which between that one and the last one I had called and asked about my refunds and never got a call back from the billing department about it. So the next visit I brought it up. Yet again! And they said they would look into it.... yet I still had to pay for a damn visit!?! Over a year later I had to threaten legal action for them to do anything! And they still took over a month of back and fourth to get anything resolved. And she claims to be sending me a check for ONE of the bills I had to pay.... minus my copay.... because I marked "self pay" on my paperwork..... ummmm ok? That was true on my first visit and then after that obviously it fucking changed and I GAVE them my insurance card every damn time!!!! Seriously the worst business because of their lack of communication. Between billing/insurance/front desk or whatever. And one of them bills they are claiming I didn't even pay and she "wrote it off". Ummmm no I paid cash on some of my appts and apparently that one didn't get recorded. How convenient.... read more

Dania saved my life, or at least my marriage. Several doctors with no or a mis-diagnosis brought me here. I was at the end of my rope, I felt so awful. A friend reccommended Herkare and I thought it was voo-doo witchcraft. I had no clue what they did (or how) but I felt bad enough to try anything. Relief wasn't immediate (I was pretty far in the hole) but it was gradual and consistent. Dania Khoncarly is the most thorough, detail-oriented woman I have ever met. Blood test - prescription or supplement - retest - repeat. After about 18 months my thyroid works, I'm on hormones I can tolerate (many problems along the way with those), I have a sex drive again (I'm 51) and I sleep like a baby. If you are impatient, intolerant, or dishonest this might not be for you. You have to be brutally honest about lifestyle, expectations, and changes you're willing to make. We live in a quick fix society (we want it now, we want it easy, and we want it cheap) and our expectations can be incredibly unrealistic. My lousy insurance covers next to nothing and I'm not rich but it's been worth every penny to get my life back. If you want someone smart, great, highly trained and experienced, go see Dania. I am so excited to find HerKare. It never made sense to me that my doctor would prescribe hormones without checking my blood levels first. I had a full hysterectomy over a year ago, and my skin has changed and I feel just awful. I talked to my doctor, and she basically said she could do nothing. Never ordered labs or anything! I have been coming to Herkare for about 6 months and can't imagine not staying on this regimen. I had been struggling with terrible menopause symptoms for close to a year and was miserable. None of the over the counter hot flash remedies were working, I couldn't get a full nights sleep and was tired all the time. When I came for the first appointment I wasn't confident they could help me, and had heard frequent visits were needed. This was concerning as I have a packed schedule. Great place!! When my menopause symptoms were too much to handle, I visited my PCP who looked at me and said, "You are too young to be in menopause, but we will test you." (I was 49 at the time) I felt like a total idiot and like I was being dismissed. It turns out I wasn't a total idiot and I was in menopause. I was told to take OTC herbs which did help the symptoms for a while. After a year in menopause, I was exhausted and unmotivated. I scheduled an appointment with HerKare because I knew my PCP would not be of any help. I have been seeing HerKare for 5 months now and I feel great! My hormones were so messed up but after a few visits, I was in the gym 4-5 times a week and feeling better than I had in years. I usually see Dania but I have also seen Beth and Dr. Westbrook. Even though they don't spend much time with you and the answers you get are short, I don't let that get to me. I do my own research, which is what we all should do anyway. We need to be our own advocates for our bodies. If I don't understand something, I ask during my visits then study it myself. I liked this place at first. They recently moved to a new building and it is very nice. I struggle though because it feels like they are very quick and short with visits - maybe that's just how it is in the medical field anymore, but I'd really like someone to give me their full attention for 5 minutes. They have been monitoring my thyroid, but I never see the results or have discussions over what the tests reveal. If anything I have to call to follow up and usually just get told they will go look at my chart. Within a day I get a notification from the pharmacy about whatever my prescription will be. So basically a test that I never get any info on and just pushed medication. They push lipotropics...I don't really know if it does much (didn't seem to for me tbh). It's not covered by insurance...around $30/injection and you have to go weekly for 12 weeks. So pricey and a pain to run to their office once a week. If you don't see improvement after the first 3 month round, they will tell you to wait a month and do it again. I guess I'll give them points that it's usually a very short wait (if any) and they do get you in/out quickly. I am going to start looking for a place that will help work with me to educate me and find what is really best for me, not just a 3 second visit and medications... read more

This is a great place. I went with a very specific situation, they listen, tested and right away started me in a hormonal replacement treatment specific for my levels. I saw results in my health in 2 days!! I couldn't believe it as I have been battling the symptoms I had for months and suffering the imbalance I had. I sought help with thyroid/hormone issues. They know their stuff and have good information, but you have to call them for your lab work results. They mixed up my appointment with someone else who had the same name. And, I never get my refills going smoothly. Each month, I have to call the office and ask for a refill. I would not recommend this treatment center due to all the annoying admin issues w/ lab and medication. I am thankful for their insight into what is going on, but I am finding another doctor. read more

This is a Good Place if you do not have a job, have disposable income and have no set Schedule. I pushed my wife to try this place out as I have been a LOW-T patient for over a year. Low T Center is a great come as you need, work around YOUR schedule type of office. Her care, not so much. On my Wife's 1st visit she explains what is going on with her physically, and how crazy her schedule is. They totally sell her on how they work around your schedule, and make it easy on the patient.. Well. It's Taken my wife months due to her schedule just to get to an OBGYN to get birth control. (a Pre-requisite of the Hormone program) She finally was able to get on the birth control, so after a week of being on it she shows up to start the program. They take her Money then the doctor says, no. You need to come back in a week, as they need her to be on birth control for at least 2wks. My Wife was ok with that.. a Week later, they take her Money and they say we need to run blood test come back in another week.. OH and you have to get a shot every 10 days on the dot, or you might as well not even try this program.... The Doctor said that...... Really? Months of getting to this point just to learn she should have just gone to a Specialist doctor office in the 1st place. I'm Sorry I ever pushed my wife to go here in the 1st place... read more
