The assistant was highly competent and put me at ease; I was nervous about having a root canal. Dr. Haga gave me the least painful injections I have ever had. Extremely friendly staff and Dr. Inaba was great! Very nice clean office and very up to date technology in the office. They even make sure to wipe down your cards as well after swiping or making any copies. Only bummer was how much my insurance didn't cover and what my co pay ended up being. But other than that. I had a root canal scheduled for 9/8 however I started to experience more pain and called on 9/6. I was told to come in asap. Luckily They took me in very quickly and started their process. X-ray, explain process so I understood very well what was at stake. Dr. Inaba was very comforting and gave me confidence and assurance that the process would be successful. The shots and the root canal was quite painless. He constantly asked if I was ok. After completion he explained what to expect and what to do very clearly. Two days later and everything is great The staff from the receptionist to the dental assistant were so very professional, service oriented and welcoming. Made you feel comfortable and at ease. Just an aside. Had a root canal done by Dr Haga of the same office several months ago. Same great experience. I was referred to Dr. Haga and I am grateful that he was the doctor for me. The procedure was quick and he was very gentle. My initial experience with Endodontic Associates and Dr. Craig Haga occurred back in October 2016 when my dentist referred me to get a root canal. My cheek, gum and lip near my infected root had become severely swollen a few days prior to my walk-in appointment at their Aiea office. Due to the swelling, Dr. Haga suggested that I hold off on the root canal and he, instead, drained the area near my tooth by making a small incision in my gums. Because my dental insurance wasn't going to cover the root canal until January, I was told that my tooth would be okay and that I should schedule my next appointment then. January came and went, no pain or swelling. I procrastinated and put it off. February came and almost the entire month went by before I started to notice some pain and swelling in the last few days. I made an appointment for March 1st at their Ala Moana location. I went in there with the same exact symptoms as my last visit. This time, Dr. Haga decided to drain it and do the root canal all at once. Before I knew it, I was done and on my way. The staff was very professional and accommodating. One of the dental assistants (forgive me if this is the incorrect title) was extremely friendly and stood out. If I'm not mistaken, I believe her name was Kawo. We all know how bad a dental appointment can potentially be. This was about as pleasant a visit as I could possibly imagine. While Endodontic Associates is a place I would generally want to avoid due to the nature of its services, I would be "glad" to return here to have my procedure(s) done. read more

Dr Haga and his assistant was awesome! I have anxiety and panic attacks and although I had one after he numbed me and we had to wait a few minute, his assistance and him gave me time to adjust and to get my attack under control after taking meds. I hate when the numbing goes down your throat so he also took extra precautions to make sure it didn't. While doing the procedure he talked me through everything and always asked if i was ok. By this time i was already calm and falling asleep. I had gone in there for a root canal with excruciating pain but they both saw that i got the right and calm in treatment i deserved. Thank you to the front knowing that i was aggravated with pain and anxiety they still remained professional during the whole process. I felt so bad I had to apologize. Long story short my dentist referred me to Endodontic Associates for a consult on a problematic tooth. I personally wasn't too thrilled to be there (because of the issue) but I have to say I had a very pleasant experience. Endodontic Associated have two offices, one in Honolulu and one in Pearlridge. I went to the Pearlridge office which is conveniently located in the Westridge Shopping Center (across of Bed Bath and Beyond/Pearlridge Mall). Parking there also wasn't an issue. There's lots of places to park, if you can't find a parking stall near the office you can always park upstairs. Unfortunately I can't really describe the interior much being that I was preoccupied with my problematic tooth. But what stood out the most to me was how Dr. Inaba explained what was happening to my tooth. He really was able to break down what was going on in a way anyone could understand. He also took into consideration my concerns such as a cost efficient resolution. I personally felt at ease talking to Dr. Inaba and moving forward with what to do next. So even though being there wasn't a joyous occasion, the consult I received was a relief and I would defiantly go back (if need be that is). read more

My regular dentist said I needed a root canal before she could proceed with my tooth repair. She referred me to endodontic Associates located at Ala moana shopping center. Parking was easy and I arrive half an hour early so I could fill out the forms. The whole procedure was painless except for the shot of Novacaine to numb the area. The root canal took about 45 minutes to complete. I had Dr. Adam Inaba do my procedure. I would highly recommend endodontic Associates for any root canal that you might need. read more

I was recommended to see a specialist for a root canal because my tooth (molar) required extensive work. Basically, I just wanted to save my tooth as much as possible. After reading reviews about this place, I decided to give them a call. The staff was really helpful at every call and provided detailed information from consultation, procedure, and billing. At that point, I decided to schedule an appointment. Scheduling: It was quick, easy, and they were able to get me in soon. Customer Service: Staff was really pleasant and helpful. Dental Work: Dr. Inaba and his dental assistant were amazing! The numbing hurt of course, but I didn't feel a thing throughout the entire procedure. He explained what he would do and would ask if I was okay. He did mention how it might be difficult getting through my canals because they were curved or blocked. He got through them and was able to complete the procedure successfully. After the procedure, Dr. Inaba explained post care. Post dental work: I did experience pain once the numbing wore off, but that's normal for me. I took an OTC pain killer and the pain was tolerable. The procedure was done yesterday. I really like that the appointments were staggered to avoid to many people in the office also the staff were very friendly and courteous. This place specializes in root canals. I was referred here, always went to west ridge shopping center but never really noticed this random door. Walked in and the office is beautiful, completely looks like a spa. The receptionist greeted me upon entry and I sat down for maybe 5 minutes before I was called in for my appointment, this place really doesn't make you wait. The dental assistant walked me in and prepped me, she was very gentle and offered me a blanket as it does get quite cold when you're sitting in the AC for an hour. Dr. Inaba was in charge of my root canals and of all the dentists I went to he was truly the best, so very gentle. After I were done, I just went back to the front desk to make my next appointment as this became a routine since I needed about 6 root canals... The next time I came in, the receptionist, Lori, remembered me and from then I felt a comforting family type vibe from everyone. They were very caring and did everything they could to help me find out where I could go for my permanent fillings and crowns since the place that referred me didn't make it easy AT ALL. I'm beyond grateful for all the hard work and great customer service they all contributed. AMAZING CLINIC!!! I never thought I would be raving about a dentists office but here I am. They were so amazing with my adult son who is on the Autism Spectrum and is very anxious about new people, procedures, etc... We went to the Coon Rapids location. They made my son so comfortable that he fell asleep in the chair while they were doing a root canal on him! They allowed me to be with him due to his anxiety the entire time and they made him feel so comfortable, I was blown away by their great service and attitude.
