Roy is amazing! He made our visit very special. Make sure that he is in the building whenever you visit! We tried axe throwing and the endorphin junkies "smash room". You can BYOB which is pretty awesome. The assessment that we received after the smash room was phenomenal. Roy was able to give each one of us a personal assessment about our personality just from watching our smash room videos. It was really cool. I can't wait to go back and support him. Excited to have another solid black owned establishment in DFW.

The Event Center is so lively and has a lot of space for people. It would be perfect to rent out for a venue. They have a merchandise desk when your first walk in, snacks, hoodies, etc. Everything looks clean and well-taken care of too. We will be back!

So, I am 100% a city-gal, but I loved archery in school and summer camp. Soooo, I was excited to…read morevisit Cinnamon Creek Ranch after a friend mentioned the indoor archery WITH equipment rentals. Was a fairly quick drive via I-35, & my map app took me to the correct location. Staff is so friendly AND teach classes, or, like for me, they will give you a 2-3 minute refresher before you start. You rent a target at the range ($15 in March 2024), & you can rent a compound bow and arrows ($20 each in March 2024) that are honestly in really good shape. The range's targets are well spaced. They even have axe throwing in another area, if you're into that. They also have high-top tables and chairs for friends/family to sit and 4 big tvs on the wall for those not shooting. TIP: When you arrive for archery, go to the building on your left when you park (marked "Event Center" and "A") bc the building on the right is for game processing. I definitely will return!

DALLAS, TX: We came here for a scouting camp trip and it was terrific. The staff made everyone…read morewelcome and helped us locate the activities we had scheduled for the day. There was ample parking and it was fairly easy to get around. The site has numerous 'attractions' that you can enjoy with your troop or pack: Outpost: there is a fort-like outpost that makes for a great spot to shoot B.B. guns or enjoy other competitive games with the scouts. Pirate Ships: we loved playing with the pirate ships, which provide a great pairing for capture the flag and water fights. Likewise, we were able to learn some rappelling basics on the side of them as they were just high enough for adventure but low enough for easy learning with limited risk. Bow and Arrow Range: There is a spot to shoot bows. Bonfire Pit Huge Shed/Hangar for activities out of the rain in case of bad weather and eating. Campgrounds: Many of them. Excited to return

I know I always notice times on the news where some young man has done something great or helped save a life and he says I just used my training from the Boy scouts. I will tell you I never was a scout but I wanted to call my Mom and ask her why didn't you ever sign me up. My son is a Webelo so this particular camp out was to show them exactly what the Boy Scouts are about and how these young men have learned so much & how they put that to good use. The weekend started with a opening ceremony where they were blaring music and getting people to be excited about what was going to take place. The weekend was pretty much run by older scouts who displayed everything from tying knots to cooking with a Dutch oven. They also shot BB guns and learned about the Ham radio and first aid and mass casualty drills. I can honestly tell you I really wasn't sure if my son would continue on in the Boy scouts but I felt this pride in my heart that made me really stress to him just how important it is for him to stick with it. The young men that we met seemed to be so confident and enjoy everything they were teaching they truly embodied leaders of men. The camp out took place at Camp Wisdom which itself was great. I can't believe that such a great place is hidden in the city. The landscape there really made me feel like I was hours away from home even though it was more like 30 minutes. I can't wait for my son to continue his journey. I just feel like a fool that it took me this long to recognize just how much the scouts can offer my son.

Everyone who works there is professional with safety as the literal top priority. I taught my kids to shoot there. In past ~5 years or so, builders have built homes about a mile away. Northwest ISD has built a school. Country acreage and fields still surround on all sides. Two bullets were found at the new school, and the assumption is that it was bullets from the public range which has tall berms and does not directly have line of aim to the school. This range's presence is not a safety issue. For folks are concerned about this, consider having NISD foot the bill to build bigger berms or indoor shooting range for Quail Creek. Why not? NISD is already spending our tax money like water.

Northwest ISD says it tried to work with the owner on safety improvements and couldn't even get a commitment. The district isn't asking to shut the range down. They're asking for reasonable safety measures to keep bullets from leaving the property. How is that even controversial? Every gun owner knows you are responsible for where your rounds go. If there's a credible possibility rounds from my range could be reaching a middle school, I'm doing everything possible to make sure it can never happen again. I'm not making the school district sue me. I support gun ranges. I want this one to stay open. But responsible gun ownership means taking safety seriously, especially when kids are involved. Fix the damn problem.
