This is our third year at Dance Academy of Mansfield and we love it! They are very professional at dance academy of Mansfield, but also are kind and understanding to the girls as well as the parents. I like that they incorporate different muscle groups in their practices as they do core, balance and stretching as well as dancing. I have notice improvements in my daughters feet and core strength. She has always had flat feet and has had some trouble with balance/coordination and I have noticed since starting dance that has improved. Lastly the production they have at the end of the year is amazing. So cool to watch as a parent. I love that DAOM is not ashamed of their faith and to talk about the Lord and pray; and for that reason is why I drive from Waxahachie to come here. My daughter loves it. You show up, pay their ever-increasing fees, and the amenities you came for are just... unavailable. And suddendlty the hot top ( when is working) is closed at sunset... since when? I've complained to the front desk multiple times, and absolutely nothing changes. It feels like they don't fix things until people blast it publicly. For a gym this expensive, this level of upkeep and communication is ridiculous.

Unfortunately, Ms. Tracy sold the business to new owners recently and everything has changed For the past month it has seemed like everyday another employee has left; they all look so miserable! My daughter's Pre-K class has experienced SIX different teachers so far this school year!!! SIX! We received almost daily reports of accidents, injuries, etc. that rarely happened before. For the first time in her life, my child doesn't want to go to school! we received very little communication from school management. They were so short staffed one day, the school sent out a message asking us to pick up our kids as soon as we all could because they were short handed! We have had multiple meetings to try to express our concerns and seek a solution with zero improvement. Before writing this I reached out to the owners and have received no response. But most disturbingly of all, this week the new management held a lockdown drill without ever training the staff (or even apparently telling them it was a drill!). Management went around banging on doors, etc. pretending to be an active shooter. Students were told if they make a sound "the bad people with guns will shoot and kill you"! My 4-yr-old (as well as many of her classmates) are terrified, having nightmares, and asking if they are going to be shot and killed. Lockdown drills are important. It's not necessary to traumatize babies! We (along with many others) had to make the difficult decision to pull our kids yesterday without a plan for childcare. I feel my child was no longer physically or emotionally safe at that school. I never could have imagined things going this way!
