I understand he has now joined up with a company based out of Reno, NV. Tread very carefully everyone. I want to thank you all for putting your faith and trust in EIT. We realize yo have a lot of choices out there and you take the time to find a shipper that you can trust with one of your "kids" and that is a really big decision. The responsibility that comes with taking care of your horse is not one that we take lightly. We are horse people ourselves, this is not just a job for us but something that we love and enjoy. This has been a tough winter for us and other transporters as well. The amount of winter storms and severity of them and where they have occurred has really hampered and delayed our trips. Besides the weather we have had to deal with the typical maintenance and repairs on our equipment. As some of you may have already found out, our biggest problem this winter has been a breakdown in communication with our office staff. We thought we had a competent person running the day to day operations of our business, answering all calls, planning routes and communicating effectively with our clients. Unfortunately, as most times is the case, we do not realize there is a problem until it becomes a problem. I am on the road delivering horses, that is my job. I have let my office staff go, and have asked my wife to help and I am now having emails forwarded to me via email while on the road and I don't even know where to begin with how many of you are unhappy! A lot of you are regular clients of ours, so you are aware of the good service and communication that you have grown to expect from us. However, we have had to find out the hard way that our staff has let us down in more ways than one. Severe lack of communication to you in regards to pick up and drop off for starters, the fact that there is no way for us to even pick up your horse on the date specified is another, we apologize if you feel like you have been mislead. Ultimately, as owners we take full responsibility, this is our fault for not making better business decisions. I am truly sorry you have been inconvenienced in one way or another, but in being realistic, there is no way possible to pick up your horse until the week of the 10th. We are now playing catch up and there is no way to do it any sooner. I would be happy to refund your deposit if you have lost all faith in us or you cannot simply wait. I completely understand all of your frustrations and concerns. I hope that you will give EIT the chance and opportunity to ship your horse so you can see first hand the quality and care of work we provide. Most of you have used us before and we appreciate you sticking by us. If you choose to have us transport your horse, please note your cost will be reduced by $100.00. If you do not pay for expedited service do not expect your POS in less than a month. He was quick to take on my cases and collect payment, but the real problem began afterward when accurate paperwork and follow-through were needed. I paid for two separate cases. In the first case, the Proof of Service was delayed over a month, and when I finally received it, he had listed the defendant's previous address as my address, the plaintiff. Because of that mistake, the court now reflects incorrect address information for me. In the second case, the court rejected the Proof of Service three separate times because of incorrect information. This case had specific service requirements, and I repeatedly asked for corrections because deadlines mattered. Months later, the paperwork was still not corrected. One revised version was sent, but the court rejected it again. Instead of taking responsibility, he called me a liar and a thief after I disputed the charges with my bank while waiting for proper paperwork. When I pleaded with him to fix the forms so my case would not be harmed, he responded: I WILL NOT FIX IT, I HAVE SPENT TOO MUCH TIME ON YOUR PAPERS!! He then threatened police reports, small claims court, and demanded a cashier's check before making corrections. HE IS A VERY INEXPERIENCED SERVER AND DOES NOT KNOW THE COURT RULES WHEN IT COMES TO SERVICE. He told me an attorney friend advised him how to handle one of the cases, yet he still could not complete the paperwork correctly. His errors and refusal to timely correct them can potentially cost me the chance to recover five figures for damages due to missed service deadlines. Waiting two months for a Proof of Service is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE. My warning to new customers: if your matter is simple and mistakes do not matter, you may be fine. But if your case is time-sensitive, requires strict compliance with court rules, or depends on accurate filings, I strongly recommend using an experienced professional instead.

So I decided to call a courier service to have the CD delivered so I could just head right home. Knowing nothing about Stockton, I Googled couriers on my IPhone. I called another service first and I was told it would be $55 and that it might be an hour or so if he could find a driver and that he would have to call me back. This was all too vague for me, so I called Valley Wide, who were next the list. I spoke to Dave and he was on it --- yes, they could have someone to me in a half hour and the cost would be $35. Now this was exactly what I was looking for! Great service at a reasonable price! The courier showed up and she was very personable. I gave her my package and she said I would be called to be billed after the delivery. The package was delivered in record time and I made a payment with my credit card over the phone.
