Been a patient of Dr Meadows for over 20 years - at Energize, I feel completely respected as a patient by the office staff and doctors. They listen to my various concerns and ailments and come up with a plan to get me back on the right track so I can move, get better sleep etc . They have always had good recommendations for exercises targeted to problem areas to improve strength and stability, supplements to improve various body functions and systems, and modalities to use at home, looking towards long term improvement.Mostly just come in for the occasional tune up these days... The office is nice, and they offer many services. My massage started later than expected, even though I was there early so complete paperwork. Dr. Meadows was kind and considerate, and he never did the sales-y thing where they try to get you to sign on to a big treatment package, for which I was grateful. However, the care didn't do anything for me. Nothing was changing. Also, I am not a fan of the way that the biophysics chiropractors in the Seattle area set up their adjustment tables so that you are getting an adjustment in the middle of a room full of other people, sometimes in the middle of a gym type setting. I believe that you need to be relaxed and able to trust your practitioner to heal, and I don't see how people can relax while getting an adjustment with people, machines, and loud noises all around you. At Energize the tables are all lined up right next to each other and you can't even have a conversation about your health with the doctor without the people around you hearing, which I don't see how that isn't a HIPPA violation. So I found it uncomfortable and unhelpful. read more

I have a physically demanding job that had been wearing down my body for years to the point where I didn't know what normal should feel like. I had a horrible fall at work resulting in whiplash, loss of mobility in my neck, and of course; pain. I had never been to a chiropractor before and I was very nervous. After attempting multiple procedures and different avenues to resolve what is basically age arthritis and disc issues in my back from motorcycling, hiking, remodeling houses, etc., this practice offered relief I have never before found. The procedures are safe, well explain, demonstrate a degree of thoroughness, not seen up until now. The procedures are exceptional. In addition, as they include the person, their participation, an educated mindset, and troves of resources, from which to draw upon to improve one's home life, in addition to at the practitioner. Decompression, Chiropractic, and Shock Wave therapy with a MRI before and after treatment at Energize Chiropractic in Kirkland. After herniated L5 - S1 and a bulge disc L4-L5 causing Lt sided sciatica pain. I sought out Jeremy Meadows on a recommendation. Arriving to Energize Chiropractic from Rayus Radiology with my MRI results Dr Jeremy and I reviewed the images and radiologist report after suffering a low back injury two weeks earlier. I listened to how I am a prime candidate for decompression and how Dr Jeremy has a greater than 90 percent success rate with my injury. After an examination, Dr Jeremy determined that I needed 22 treatments at approximately $5000.00 (Not covered by insurance companies) only if I paid everything upfront. If wanted to make payments while seeing if there was any improvement, the cost would be significantly more. Dr Jeremy recommended that I take a least three weeks off because of my job as a firefighter so I decided to take 4 weeks off then return to work on light duty. I was told the decompression would pull the herniation from my disc back into place slowly over three months of treatment and take 6 months for the disc to heal completely. 23 decompression treatments later (One extra), chiropractic adjustments, and daily exercises, I can say there is no change in my sciatic pain. I sent three emails to Dr Jeremy after the 23rd treatment about being overcharged on my health savings account and he refused to correct the issue. Being in pain nearly four months I was able to get a second MRI and review the images along with the radiologist report and see there was no change in my herniation. It was extremely disappointing to hear after working so hard to follow the daily exercises and prescribed stretches by Energize Chiropractic. I am giving Energize Chiropractic 2 stars instead of 1 because the staff was so supportive including Dr Bobby, Dr Michelle and all the supporting staff were very encouraging. Unfortunately, I feel I need to rate Energize Chiropractic mostly on the results and the 5 Shock Wave therapies for my shoulder impingement did nothing to change my mind. I feel Dr Jeremy might be exaggerating the success rate for decompression and shock wave therapy. read more

I texted 2 days before asking them if we could cancel our massages and they told us we would need to pay a $60 rescheduling fee because I did not specify my wife's name in THAT specific text. However, her name was in the text thread. So then they said it was because the cancellation text BARELY missed their "48 hour cancellation policy" cut off window. We had gone for the complimentary consultation for back pain and we felt they use deceptive sales tactics(such as the Foot in the door) to get you to sign up. They gave an initial estimate for the physical exam(including X-Rays) and at a high level talked about the two treatment plans - "corrective"(requires like 36 sittings and so on) and "relief" I tried to understand if they are in-network for my insurance and what the coverage would be like and to get an rough understanding of the out of pocket for us and they were completely unwilling to give any information until we did the initial $300 exam. Once you paid the initial $300 just for to get an initial assessment - you are more likely to continue paying for the rest - given the money and time spent already. Try to avoid this practice if you expect transparency and integrity in the process. read more

Full disclosure I'm super pissed. We got an advertisement for a free massage. So we did it. They contacted us many times reminding us to not miss the phone call for schedule the massage. Turns out it's an appointment for a consultation...and we thought a massage as well since the ad was for a massage. "Hey! You are all set for our phone call to discuss 1 hour massage & chiropractic exam." Instead, without explaining it to us $50 bucks (a week or so before the appointment). Then at the appointment they didn't even give the massage. They did a consultation and scheduled a follow up appointment. Not even a massage follow up appointment. They said you get that after your first appointment. INCREDIBLY misleading. Feels really slimy. read more
