I love this place so much! I've been going here for several years now and I 15/10 always recommend this place to everyone I know. It's such a relief because I've had many experiences where I didn't feel heard or valued as a patient. None of that nonsense here! Dr. Poon & Dr. Lin are really great providers. They both listen to every concern that you have, they make note of it, they REMEMBER IT, and they actually address them! Some places just do a quick "maintenance", but the Dr. Lin & Dr. Poon target what's bothering you THAT DAY! They make sure to check if it will come back or not too. They also offer this monthly massage package that is perfect for me because I deal with a lot of stress due to my job and previous spinal injury. They don't push you to sign up for this either, which is nice. I've received a lot of professional massages and this one is affordable AND amazing! Been coming here for a couple years now on and off ever since I suffered from a whiplash and then somewhat chronic stress related muscle tension... And I keep coming back because I don't think there is a better clinic around. I think Dr. Jules Lin and Esther Poon combine a good mix of knowledge and medicial experience in Eastern and Western medicine. That's what makes this clinic so special. I mostly see Dr. Lin for chiropractic adjustments and treatment of muscle tension. Dr. Esther helps me with more Eastern-med oriented treatments like acupuncture and cupping therapy (do not confuse with clubbing therapy). :) Both doctors are very competent with their treatments, and the way they communicate and educate me about where my symptoms come from and what exercise plans help me get better in the long run. I decided to go to ACE Wellness because they were a walk away from work and very convenient. I hurt my shoulder due to a workout injury and was treated by Dr. Lin. Treatment did eventually help the pain and the Dr. was fine, I have no complaints about that part. The reason for my low review is due to the trouble obtaining a letter to send to my insurance. The receptionist is just plain rude and needs lessons in customer service. I can't believe how how hard it is for them to write a simple letter to the insurance company explaining my injury and treatment. I had to email an example of what I wanted them to write. When I finally got the letter (which I had to keep following up and bug them about) it contained a sentence that was not accurate, that I didn't notice, so of course was denied by the insurance company. When I asked for a revision and for them to correct their error they said NO?! Are you kidding me?! They made the mistake and didn't even apologize and to top it off they are declining to fix their error. I am a paying customer and Doctors should be well versed in dealing with insurance companies. I would never recommend this company to anyone and will tell everyone about my experience here. If you want to deal with a rude receptionist and just pay to get an adjustment, then you won't have an issue. If you are looking for a more friendly environment or have an injury you will be going through insurance for, DON'T go to ACE Wellness. read more

I found Ace Wellness online, and then I saw that it was covered through my insurance, so I thought I would give it a try. I've never tried acupuncture before, and the thought of little needles put inside of me scared me, but I went in with an open mind, and boy was I glad I did! Dr Poon is awesome! She is very open with you about discussing your symptons/health, and goes over everything she does in detail before doing them. (Like she asks to look at your tongue beforehand. I never knew why she did that, but apparently it helps diagnose you health patterns by looking at the color and thickness of your tongue) I've been going for the last couple months and I feel like its helped calm me down, and I think I've gotten over my fear of needles! My wife and I have been going to Dr. Lin and Dr. Poon since we moved to the Kirkland area. They are both great. They listen to your issues, fine tune their approaches to fit your needs exactly. They sometimes will even do the above and beyond to take care of you, and not always worrying about if the insurance will pay them or not. I had a nerve damage and doing physical therapy, but also got acupuncture treatment from Dr. Poon. She would evaluate my situation and tailor the needle points based on how/where we feel the needs are. At some point, my right hand had some numbness, and in this one session, after the acupuncture, the numbness went away for most part of the my hands. This obviously doesn't happen every time, but that one time was a pretty incredible feeling and relief. I trust their judgment and the professionalism. I started seeing Dr. Lin a few years back for an issue that my doctor and a physical therapist weren't able to help me with. Dr. Lin was able to resolve the issue within a few visits. I came to this clinic to see Dr Lin with uncertainties and reservations, I am new in the state so I relied in the reviews that I read regarding his expertise, true enough those reviews that I read were absolutely right. Two words: Professional and Caring. Is it weird that I look forward to going to my chiropractor? Two years ago, I tweaked my back when moving my bookshelves (the agonies of graduating from college). I live in Totem Lake and would pass ACE Wellness all the time. I looked it up online and saw that it had great reviews. So I decided to try it. My experience has been great! Dr. Lin is a very good chiropractor; he really cares for his patients. I could tell that he looks out for his patients' best interest. The atmosphere of the office is also great. I got hurt doing exercise at home with some weights, I started having inflammation in my hands, numbness and pain, then pain continue thru my arms, elbows, shoulders and upper back, I started having problems to move and was not sleeping well. I tried pain killers, patches, acupuncture for almost a month, that took care of some of the pain for a short term and then I was back in pain again. I found ACE Wellness here in Yelp and made and appointment with Dr. Jules. He did an extensive diagnosis, took X ray, check my back and determined my nerves were pinched. I started treatment 3 times a week and I started noticing real improvement from the first session as Dr. Jules was really attacking the root cause of my problem. Right now I continue my treatment, I am doing exercises at home that Dr. Jules has indicated and I am almost back in my normal life. I really appreciate that Dr. Jules is very professional and straight forward and explained my condition, answered all my questions and even called me the next day after my first session to check how I was doing. I started going here shortly after I moved to Seattle as ACE was recommended to me by a co-worker. I occasionally get really bad headaches from working at a PC all day and Dr Lin takes excellent chiropractic care of me and advises me on ways to help myself like stretches, posture, setting up my workstation, etc... and as long as I follow his advice I stay pretty headache free! I recently started seeing him a bit more often my wrist had been swollen up and hurting for a few days (from more computer work) and he's been fantastic in helping me get it back to normal and in teaching me how to prevent it. I have been suffering from hot flashes for several years. This year, the hot flashes increased in number and intensity. I was miserable! After trying what seemed like every medication known to mankind, my primary care doctor said there was nothing else he could do for me. Back in 1992 on a flight to Hawaii , I found it difficult to sit for a long time. I had to change my sitting position occasionally to be comfortable on the flight. My career as a nurse did not help with my pain. Since 1994 I have worked in nursing homes where one of my job criteria is to transfer patients. Working 12 hours days that involved non-stop walking and standing added my pain. Later on I had injured my shoulders, elbows and knees. My job then changed from nursing homes to visiting different clinics. The pain was unbearable where I drove 2 hours round trip to see a Chiropractor in Boston to get some relief. I also tried massage (spending over $120 per session ) and physical therapy twice a week for a year. I even went back to my home country to try Chinese cupping and Tui Na. Back in the USA, I had 10 steroid injections by my orthopedic surgeon in the course of 3 years plus various forms of treatments. All tried and failed to give reasonable relief. I thank God for bringing me to see Dr.Lin. His knowledge, understanding, kindness, excellent techniques, and special soft tissue methods made me feel much better just after a few visits. My knees do not hurt after a couple of steps up the stairs or before going to bed；my neck and shoulders would not get stiff or painful easily after I do a lot of housework or read a book or when kept in the same position for prolong periods. I am amazed at how Dr.Lin's treatments get such terrific results. Now I am only seeing once a week for 3 years pain. I have been going to Ace Wellness off and on for maybe two or three years now. Initially it was in response to some neck pain I was having and focused on chiropractic care, but I have also started to take advantage of their massage program as well. All of the staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about their practice. They ask lots of questions up front try to understand what what is going on that might be causing any pain in the first place. They can perform adjustments to get your issues corrected for the short term, but also have lots of great advice on stretches and other practices you can do on your own time to reduce and eliminate pain over time. The pain in my neck has faded away, my posture has improved (even gaining an inch in the process), and overall things are looking very good!
