My husband and/or I have tried the "Move, Groove and Improve", Basics/Beginner Tap and Groove3 classes. They're all different and fun! You will not be judged here. I dance for the unique mental challenges it provides(btw, there are a LOT of STEM people in some of these dance communities!), because I'm tired of being clumsy, and to increase both my bone density and balance. My kids have done MANY types of classes in the Kingston area, from dance to gymnastics to karate to soccer, and this place is my favorite of them all and my top priority to encourage my kids to stick with for the long haul. Coach Malachy manages that rare balance of fun and structure. My kids are learning real skills, but also growing in confidence, focus, resilience, and respect... while having fun. For adults, the classes are both challenging and supportive. I'm a pretty slow learner, but I've always felt welcome, have fun, and enjoy a community full of genuinely kind, down-to-earth people. The gym is always clean, organized, and really feels like a family environment where everyone (kids, teens, parents) is growing together. I look forward to her class all week I almost feel myself chilllllll out as I walk in on Sundays. Another really important thing for me is that NP Rock is most welcoming, non-elitist, accepting yoga community and it's so purposeful that it makes me want to contribute to the feeling, too. And most important (for me :) the vibe here is open and genuine, and Mara is so full of knowledge.
