I went in for consultation due to TMJ flare up after ortho treatments. I wish I could get my money back. I told her I was traveling within a week or so, and she rushed to sign me up but luckily I told her I needed to think if I can cover it, plan was worth thousands of dollars. Dr Benson had me watch videos with info I already knew then took pictures of my head and jaw with some measurements. She also pressed so hard inside my gums, I almost died of pain. The worst part of this initial exam was using the activator to adjust my entire body. I could not walk for a week from neck and back pain, and I even reached out to ask if this was normal but there was not much response. Funny part about this, my jaw hurt even more for weeks after that. She is a sweet lady but I would not trust her with my head again. I wish you all luck, TMJ issues are not fun!

This review is about my most recent experience with him and his colleague, Dr. Eliot Foad. I am a rock climber and injured my left shoulder in December 2024. I saw him shortly after and recovered through the adjustment/treatment visits and rehab exercises he prescribed. However, I re-injured it in January 2026 and had been doing rehab exercises since then with little progress. I finally went back -- I live in San Francisco, so the commute is tough! -- two weeks ago, this time for pain in my lower back. It turned out I had been straining it through poor weightlifting form. He adjusted me, advised me on what to avoid while lifting, and I felt like a new person almost immediately (though the body does take a few days to fully recover). He also suggested a novel treatment called shockwave therapy for my shoulder and elbow, where I had developed tendinitis from climbing, along with a compression arm band for use when climbing or lifting. I completed the shockwave therapy on my shoulder and elbow with Dr. Foad, who is also highly knowledgeable and a genuine pleasure to talk to. A few days later, I felt as though I had a brand-new shoulder, which allowed me to start climbing two grades above my previous level, something I had avoided out of fear of further injury. My elbow is also feeling much better, and the band has been a great help. I highly recommend both Dr. Pedersen and Dr. Foad for any sports injuries or injuries in general -- you could not be in better hands!

They gave a thoughtful opinion and described a few different options for moving forward, without being pushy. There was some back and forth and they actually took the time to write a few notes for me so I wouldn't forget. I thought that was considerate. The office seemed well managed and organized and they gave me a summary at the end which was useful. Nothing felt rushed or overly complicated. It was the kind of place you could probably trust for regular visits.

Tooth extraction and bone graft from cadaver. Go back for implant. 2 step procedure if the…read moreinfection requires a bone graft. 1 day same day procedure if less or no damage. Root canal in #31 molar failed when I bit into something hard. Infected with slight pain and loose molar. Couldn't use side of mouth infection was on. Went to dentist for exam, took xrays and told me I needed a bone graft ane extraction. Sent me to Dr Joseph Kim in Mtn View. Wait time was 3w. Went to Follmar for next day service. 1) The extraction is fast. maybe 2m with some pliers. Make sure to ask for your tooth. Mine had a gold crown on it. He showed me the infection, It looks like scar tissue. The body creates that as a barrier between the tooth and infection. 2) the recovery is surprisingly fast after the lidocaine wears off. The norco pain pills work. used 1 then another 1 2h after i screwed up as started the would bleeding by moving around too much. The part nobody tells you is to stay as still as possible for a couple hours for the scab or blood clot to harden. Even little movements affect the would and you can't feel it because of the pain killers. Make sure you stay as still as possible. less movement helps the new stitches and wound to heal up. I started cleaning after feeling good from the pain pill I could sense the bleeding and pain shoot up after I over strained by accident. Hurts. Sat in the recliner. Shocking how fast it heals if you stay still a couple hours. Could eat avocado, cold soup, tofu 9h same day after on the side wo the extraction. No pain even after the pain pills wear off. Get rid of the cotton ASAP.
