My feedback is late but this is my own experience I wanted to share, maybe these treatments helped some of you but it made it much worse for me. I went in for consultation due to TMJ flare up after ortho treatments. I wish I could get my money back. I told her I was traveling within a week or so, and she rushed to sign me up but luckily I told her I needed to think if I can cover it, plan was worth thousands of dollars. Dr Benson had me watch videos with info I already knew then took pictures of my head and jaw with some measurements. She also pressed so hard inside my gums, I almost died of pain. The worst part of this initial exam was using the activator to adjust my entire body. I could not walk for a week from neck and back pain, and I even reached out to ask if this was normal but there was not much response. Funny part about this, my jaw hurt even more for weeks after that. She is a sweet lady but I would not trust her with my head again. I wish you all luck, TMJ issues are not fun! read more

In 4 weeks I went from being unable to open my mouth without hurting to feeling 95% normal with minor clacking which unfortunately have been persisting for decades. Beware of this place. The program is priced at thousands of dollars and "Dr" Bensen asks you to pay upfront, locking you in. The treatments are not personalized and she follows a very standard routine that may or may not make you feel better. It is very sad to see the number of poor souls that come to this place in despair, only to go through a process that is not optimized to improve patients' health; it's rather optimized to maximize her profit. She double/ triple books patients and typically only does 15 minutes (at most) of hands-on treatment. The rest of the sessions consist of you drinking green tea while watching marketing videos, or spending time laying on a bed listening to a low quality relaxation podcast. So, I have suffered from tinnitus for my entire life and have had a major episode for almost a year. I went to two ENTs, an allergist, and a neurologist who finally pinned the cause as TMJ. I went to Dr.Bensen for my TMJ issues, back and neck pain by seeing the yelp reviews. I was told to choose the plan at the beginning and she assured that I would be 80% or more better within the first month. But after plan A, which costed $1800 for 7 sessions (including the initial exam i.e, only 6 adjustments), I was around 30-40% better. So, she asked me to take plan B and had told that all the symptoms would go away by the end of the treatment. She just did 4 sessions in that and I was only around 50% better with the pain/symptoms. She would repeatedly say that I have hypermobility. But I took 3 other opinions from other doctors who told me that I didn't have any symptoms of hypermobility. I also got x-ray done to make sure that I didn't have hypermobility. Also, my c3 was out of alignment. But Dr.Bensen was adjusting my c1 which didn't improve my symptoms at all. I clearly feel that I was just trapped by getting the money paid upfront. Thankfully, I didn't continue with her maintenance plan. It is more of an advertisement than the actual result. Now, I have been going to Gonstead chiropractor who took x-ray on the first day and is doing specific adjustments which has made me a lot better. Pros : Dr.Bensen is friendly and has flexible times. She can give the appointments in the early mornings by 7:30. Cons: Very expensive. She works on plans (fixed) and not the number of sessions according to the healing time. Her treatment didn't work at all ! I feel that the adjustments should be done based the healing process and not based on the fixed number of sessions. I don't recommend this place! read more

For quite awhile I was dealing with disproportionately sized masseter muscles, fairly intense pain on the right hand side of my jaw (left was fine), and extremely reduced range of motion in the right hand side of my jaw to the point where I couldn't even come close to touching my teeth together (again left was fine). When I finally decided to deal with these issues I went to my Orthodontist who immediately said I needed to see Dr. Bensen. My ortho stated that she was the one he trusted to do good work, and most of the patients he sent to her walked out of her office completely cured in about 4 weeks. THIS WAS MY EXPERIENCE EXACTLY! I was referred to Dr. Bensen after seeing multiple dentists who didn't understand why I was having pain on my teeth and gums with no infection present. I was diagnosed by Dr. Bensen with TMJ Disorder and Trigeminal Neuralgia which is nerve pain referred to your teeth and gums. After some research I decided on scheduling a Consultation for tmj treatment and this is a complete scam. She doesn't even take the time to discuss her methods with you she makes you watch a videos of her explains everything while she walks around outside the office. Don't let the forms fool you, while they may be extremely detailed, they are not followed by any secondary imaging, X-ray, MRI, or exam to actually locate an exact issue or even confirm her diagnosis. Goal is to get you in there for an issue you believe you already have and are locked in for at least $1500-$2000 worth of treatments without an exam!!!!!!! When asking about insurance provider coverage, which with these prices she must have familiarity with, basically said it's the patients responsibility to figure that out and gave no information on what providers she is able to work with. My boss, David M., says that Dr Bensen is one of the finest Physical Therapists - Sports Therapists - Chiropractors he has ever been treated by. He goes on and on about how, after his triple coronary bypass surgery he had extremely limited range of motion and could not even turn his upper body around to look behind him and backup his car while driving.
