My furnace company referred Energy Smart as they don't clean air vents nor dryer vent cleaning. I called Energy Smart to have them come and clean my dryer vents and give a quote on air vent cleaning. Scott and his son came out the next day and did an incredible job! He explained everything before hand and it was actually less expensive than I'd had it done 2 years ago by another company. I purchased a 30 yr old house 2 yrs ago. It had not been maintained and ended up being a "gut job". Recently I noticed my dryer was taking longer to dry simple light weight items. I can't recommend this company enough. I called Bills Heating and A/C asking about duct cleaning. They only recommended Energy Smart and when I asked if they were affiliated, they said no but that they highly recommend Energy Smart due to the quality and proficiency of their work. They were so right. I called and was able to discuss the process, the rate of billing and the timeframe they would need to complete the job. They worked seamlessly around my 2 young boys, my 2 dogs and the general whirlwind of my house. The job was done quickly and the bill was explained fully. The airflow in my house was notably and immediately improved. My house feels completely different and all I can think is, how dangerous would my clogged duct work have been come winter and the heat runs all of the time. Duct cleaning is something that should be regularly maintained, not just cleaned once clogged. It was a great experience working with Energy Smart and they will be the only company I would work with again in the future. So appreciative of the quality of work they do but also the tremendous amount of professionalism they had while they worked throughout my home. We moved into a new (old) house where the heating and cooling system was ruined during renovation for sale. Prior to installing new equipment, it was recommended that the ductwork be cleaned. When I called Scott, his schedule was full, but when I told him that the system had to be replaced and was not working at all and with cooler weather upon us, he worked us in within 2 days. The unit was caked with drywall dust and 50 years of dead skin cells, but throughout the house there had been a strong smell of pet urine and to my surprise, once the new heating and cooling system was installed, that smell was completely gone. This couldn't have gone any better and at the end of the job, there was none of the additional cleanup that normally comes from contractors and service people who come into the house. Scott and Cole were so careful about doorways and walls, coming into the house and repairing vents that weren't screwed in quite right, cleaning around the vents after putting them all back on, and making sure that everything was better than when they started. I have never had any service done at my house where I wasn't cleaning up for and hour or more after the person left. The price I was charged for the work they did in my house was way below what was expected. This is a small company that understands what customer service actually means. read more
