They did absolutely everything within their power to locate and design the panels to be aesthetically pleasing as well as effective. They sent us aerial shots of how they were going to design the panels so there was no confusion. We live on acreage and wanted to maximize exposure but not create a eyesore from any of our many windows. When we had a necessary delay due to personal issues they were very understanding and held off the work until it suited us. Grant was an exceptional representative in customer service I'm not sure I have ever met anyone who worked as hard and was as patient. This is the second time in a row that Solar Maintenance Pros has failed to show up to clean my…read moresolar panels. To be honest, I haven't been happy with this company for quite some time. Even when they do show up, several panels are often missed, and I have to bring them to their attention. In addition, they have broken several roof tiles in the past and had to replace them. The people performing the actual cleaning are usually young adults (kids, in my book) who seem to lack basic customer service skills when I communicate what needs to be done. Today, when I called to ask whether they were still coming for my scheduled cleaning, the customer service representative asked, "Did you receive an email confirming that we were actually coming? All appointments are scheduled as tentative." That's not how appointments are supposed to work. If you schedule an appointment, you show up. If you can't make it, you notify the customer. According to their system, customers are apparently expected to assume the company will not come unless they receive additional confirmation. That approach is completely backward and unacceptable. Needless to say, I will be looking for another company to maintain my solar panels.

They would even change appointments or not show up without calling or informing me. They left a bunch of trash on my yard and roof after install. I cleaned up the yard already and the ones I can reach on my roof but there's still trash up there that I couldn't reach. I've been trying to get them to come out with no luck. They haven't even showed me how the system works until now. There's also pipes now on my roof and ground stakes on the side of my yard that looks awful and hazardous.

Clovis, CA My wife and I have purchased two rooftop…read moreresidential solar systems from Sol-Tek, based in Clovis. Our first system paid for itself on our Fresno home in under 5 years. System worked flawlessly. When we moved to Clovis about 6 years ago, first thing we did was contact Sol-Tek to install a new system on our new home. Haven't done the math, but pretty sure our 2019 system has already paid for itself. But recently, we noticed four of our 20 panels were underperforming; each of the four panels was generating about 25 percent less electricity than an average panel. Sol-Tek came out, verified the problem and submitted a warranty claim to the manufacturer. With a 20-year warranty, no problem, right? But the solar panel manufacturer was now under a new owner, and the warranty service provider had changed ownership twice. But Sol-Tek stepped up. When the manufacturer and the warranty service company were less than responsive to requests to replace the faulty panels, Sol-Tek replaced the four underperforming panels out of their own pocket and will continue to seek reimbursement from the manufacturer.
