We were extremely impressed with our Sales Rep, Daniel H. He was polite, knowledgeable and sincere. His demonstration showed us our water quality, chlorine level, and hardness. It was a real eye opener to see what we are drinking and washing our clothes in. He showed us the many benefits of the water filtration system and of the soft water as far as drinking water, cooking, cleaning, and showers. there is the extra benefit of cost savings on reduction of products and the wear and tear on appliances and clothing from hard water. The technician was super helpful and told us our Rainsoft system was completely broken and outdated and it could not be fixed due to outdated parts that are no longer available. My major complaint was that the company charged us $169 to tell us this. The diagnosis only took a couple of minutes. The system was around $9000 new and lasted about 13 years. Not a good turn around for the money. The filters were $300/year to replace under the kitchen sink. The carbon filter outside is $250 to replace every couple of years. read more

I sent my water in for testing and my levels were high. A tech was sent to my home to see why this was occurring. The sales rep was David Duarte from Quality Home Services. He evaluated my water, looked at my system. He inquired where I had purchased and how old my system was. My old soft water system was broken, and he offered me a new one with his company. I purchased and installation would take place within 2 to 3 days. Installers Hector and Estaban arrived within the allotted time. They were able to get the new system up and work within an hour. I was grateful because I was headed to the Bay Area for a comedy show. They gave me directions on how to operate the system and advised someone would be back in touch to assist me with the set-up of the app on the phone. They were supposed to take my old system away, but it was too heavy for them. I was informed they would speak to management to have another team to pick it up. The second team did not show when I was informed, they would, but they did show the next following week, to pick up and discard my old soft water system. I washed and vacuumed my new car to head to the Bay. After I arrived in the Bay Area, I noticed all these spots on the SUV. I contacted Quality Home Service, and I spoke with a woman. Woman stated it sounded like it was hard water stains and stated that the rep who was assigned to assist with the app, would look at it. By the time of my appt came for the app download and instruction, if I am not mistaken. My car was at the dealers for over a month. I picked up the car, still having the same problem. So, they had another 5 to 7 days. My car still had hard water stains. So, I took it to Costco in Turlock where they have a car was for the second time and the hard water stains were not going away. So, I reached back out to Quality Home Service and left the manager Jason 3 different message in an 8 - day period. Once Jason got back to me. I explained that no one had ever told me not to wash my car until after the first cycle as the sales associate David Duarte had stated to me. Jason advised me that it was not correct and stated I must not have dried my car. And I informed him that was not correct. Jason stated this is something they usually do not do. I was asking for reimburse for my car detailing. Jason contacted his direct manager. After several days Jason got back in touch with me and stated he had a check for me, and he would be sending another service rep my way with the check and find out why I was still having hard water issues. Reason being, I had sent Jason a picture of my toilet and it had a ring in it. The new associate that came with check in hand and to evaluate my hard water softness name was Christian. Christian was truly knowledgeable, he assessed water, explained that the ring in my toilet had something to do with particle in the air or something of that nature but not the hard water. He also checked my pipes outdoors and realized I did not have a spout for the soft water system I use in the front of my home to wash my car. He called his headquarters spoke to Jason and Jason advised him to inform me. They would have a service tech out to rectify this at no charge to myself, and I was p my check, for reimbursement of the detailing of the vehicle for the hard water stains. I received a call the next morning to set the appt for the installation. Two gentlemen arrived the next day and I had a new spicket to soft water from which to wash my car. The solar, generator, solar battery industry is competitive offering consumers many options. I urge you to do your homework and go elsewhere. As so often is the case, everything is good until things are paid for and you require assistance. It is then difficult to get anyone to return your call or offer a reasonable resolution or explanation to your issue. We ended up with huge true-up bills and I was trying to reach out to see why this might be the case. Very poor communication. We had Quality Home Services install a whole house water filtration system in our home. The technician and install were great and we were very pleased with the results. When it was time to change the filters approximately 1 year later, the technician was very prompt and professional. The problem with this company is their customer service. When it came time to change the filters again, the technician discovered that the computer board and front panel assembly needed to be replaced. He ordered the parts and encouraged us to call the company in a couple of days to enquirer about the parts and to set up an appointment to have them installed. My wife called two days later and was told that the parts manager was the only one who knew the status of the parts order but he was in a meeting and that he would return her call later. They never called back. I called a few days later and was told they would call me back that same day by 2:00pm. They never called back, so the next day I called and they said the first part was in and they were just waiting for the other part to be delivered. They assured me they would call me back very soon. That was three weeks ago. Today, my wife called and again they told her that the parts manager was in a meeting. They really need to stop using that lame excuse... read more

Rainsoft water softener is the subject. Had the material, charcoal, in the. water filter tank service, replaced. The Technician checked the water quality. His test indicated it was hard. He said I needed a new water softener, $3800. I asked if anything could be done to my existing Rainsoft system to correct the hard water, it is fifteen years old. He said that it's too old and a new one would be required. I told him I would have to think about it. Yikes $3800! I purchased some hard water test strips and he was correct the water was very hard. I had a look at the owners manual and did a manual regeneration. I tested the water the next day and it indicates a very soft. Some recent PG & E power shutoffs must have scrambled the system, it appears to be working correctly now. One week later the water is still very soft. I am irritated with this company that the tech did not offer to have a look at the water softeners programming to see if that was the problem. I would have been happy to compensate him for the extra time spent. I would be very careful in dealing with this company. I cannot recommend them. read more

I was hoping I wouldn't have to leave this review but I feel that others should know. I had contacted Quality Home Services to install 10 Solar Panels to my existing SunPower system. I was assured by the sales team that the solar panels would be flush against the current solar panels so it looks seamless. Once I agreed and signed the contract the installers came out to install the panels however when they told me they were finished and I checked, I noticed that they had installed the incorrect brackets so the new panels were at least 3 to 4 inches higher then the system I already had which is not what we agreed upon. After going back and forth with customer service and the the manager Stephen Saeger it took about a couple of months to get the correct brackets and then get them installed. Now when the tech's came back out to reinstall the brackets the panels were now flush to the same height as agreed upon originally but then I had another problem. I noticed that when they removed the old brackets from the roof they tore off some of the roofing felt which is the main barrier to prevent water. I pointed it out to the installers and asked them about it and they told me that its no problem that they patched it up and there shouldn't be any leaks. Well not that long after when we had heavy rain the valley I woke up to water leaking into my bedroom so I went o the attic to see where the water was coming from and it turned out it was right under one of the footings where they installed the new brackets. I had taken photos and then immediately contact Quality Home Services. I was told that they would send out a service technician and that if they determine the leak to not be of their cause then I would be charged $400.00. I had agreed knowing that its definitely the way the panels were installed. So the technician came out with two other guys but didn't even have the equipment needed to check because they aske me if they could use my water hose so I had to go find one. I explained to the tech and showed him photos to which he verified that he can see where the water was dipping from in the photo and from the roof panel inside the attic because there is a water stain. Two other guys went onto the room to spray water for 10 minutes and then they came down and told me that they do not see a leak and that they cannot determine if its from their solar panels or not because they are not roofers. (Keep in mind I have a brand new built house of 5 years and have not had any issues until the install). So in all they were only at my house for 10 to 15 minutes then made their determination and told me the office will contact me to schedule a time to have a roofer come out to take a look. I waited patiently and then 3 weeks later I got an email for an invoice of $400.00. I had contact Quality Home Services and explained to them I am not paying the $400.00 because the job was not completed. They then sent me the notes of what the technician had put down and he said, "Found leak coming from roof vent that had nothing to do with solar, customer said he know it wasn't but still wanted us out" This was a complete fabricated lie and that technician should be reprimanded. Now this was in July that I have been trying to go back and forth with customer service about getting this issue fixed before the rain season comes again. We are now in September and I keep getting the run around from customer service stating they have forwarded the issue to a supervisor and they would contact me when they heard back. It should not take more then a month to hear back from your supervisor. Just as I have read on here about customer service I have to agree that I get the run around too. It very well seems like once you sign the contract and they have your money they will leave you out to dry and don't care. This is not the type of business anyone should have to deal with and you would think any company would want to represent themselves with respect and dignity especially to the customers. 9.24.2024 Updated Review - I was contacted by Martin the installation manger to which him and his team arrived to my home to look at the issues. They did a very thorough and extensive job by checking each footing, checking for torn roofing felt and making sure the sealant around the footing were not damaged. After the assessment it was determined that one of the tiles under the solar panels had been cracked in half which was the cause of the leak. I am very pleased with the outcome and reassurance knowing that it was only a cracked tile (Which was replaced). I do want to highlight that I really appreciate Martin's diligence to not only make things right but he also represented the company with dignity and respect of how he was able to handle the situation and get it corrected. Because of Martin and his team going above and beyond correcting the issues, I am changing my 1 star review. Thank you Martin for correcting the issues in an immediate manner. read more
