We had a riding lawn mower that needed fixing. Jose came over and looked at it and said he will have to haul it to his shop and he can fix it. His price that he quoted was very reasonable. He said it will take about 3 days. After a few days went by, I haven't heard from him. I call and I don't get a call back until two days later. At this point I thought he was going to not fix it and not return it. He made me feel a little paranoid since I didn't hear from him. About a week later, he calls and tell me there's a piece that he has to order which will take a couple of days. I gave him about another week to call that way he had time to order the part and fix it. Still no call from him. I had to call and he didn't return my call right away. A couple of days later this is after 2 weeks and 2 days of having my lawn mower, he says that the lawn mower is fixed and he will drop it off. I schedule to meet with him the next day. He didn't show up. I called and he didn't answer. I called again the next day, still no answer no call back. at this point I thought my riding lawn mower was a loss. I really believed that I was not going to get it back. Another week passes by, about 3.5 weeks later I get a call from Jose. He said he was sorry that he hasn't call, he's just been busy. I told him he could have given me a heads up by a call or simple text instead of ignoring my calls. He said he can meet me now. I had to drop everything I was doing and drive 30 minutes to my house hoping Jose would drop off my lawn mower. He shows up about 20 minutes late. He charged me about $50 more than what he quoted. But I still thought it was still pretty reasonable since everywhere else wanted $75-$200 more. I wish he had better communication skills, I would use him again. But because of the whole thing about not showing up and not returning my call, I won't use him again and I don't recommend him. read more

Just to let everyone know I drove over 45 miles from Lemoore to JB's mobile small engine repair to have my Honda 8 hp gas engine to be repaired on my compressor. My local repair shops that I normally go to informed me it would be 2 to 3 weeks before I could have my engine looked at. I called JB's repair shop and Jose informed me his normal turn around time was about 5 days from start to finish to repair my Honda 8hp engine which needed a carburetor rebuild, ignition wiring repair and replacing the starter solenoid .. they did great work and at affordable prices and on time and I highly recommend. I purchased a Craftsman Riding Mower from JB in December 2023. It was advertised as Starts and is ready to work. When he brought it to my house it would not stay running. He said it was the safety switch in the seat and disconnected it. It ran for about a week. Then stopped running. I messaged him and got no reply. I needed to keep it within his 30 day warranty so I kept messaging him. He finally contacted me. He came back and said it was the fuel filter and replaced it. It ran for about 2 weeks and stopped. I had to take it to ACE Hardware for repairs. It needed $555.00 worth of work. He charged me $1,000.00 for the mower. I asked the owner to reimburse me and he agreed to pay $200.00 for the carburetor. He never paid. I have now filed a complaint with the BBB. Jose, I NEVER told you I was an attorney. I don't scam people. You told me it was running and ready to work. There was no water in my fuel lines. And as I told you if there was it was the fuel you put in it when I purchased it. You told me you pickup used mowers cheap then sell them. You do not go through them and repair them before sale. I had to save the money to get it repaired right because you were unable to fix it. I asked you to mail me the check because as you know my husband is dying from ALS, is confined to a wheelchair so I am unable to pickup the $$. All the problems you list were the condition of the mower when you sold it to me and never disclosed. I never used it to mow because it was winter and you can't mow wet grass. You said you would mail me the $$ and never did you are not an honest person. The Court case was dismissed for non apperance. Be careful stating on a public forum I am a scammer. I am not. Plus you must have forgot that I paid you $100.00 extra for delivery. And like the other reviewer said you never sent me a receipt by messenger. You told me you could not give me one the day you brought it because you don't want to pay taxes on your income. Jose took two of my chainsaws to sharpen and never returned them. I have called and texted numerous times, and each time he says he will be here "tomorrow," "Friday," Monday," etc. He never shows up. My lawnmower stopped working and I couldn't figure out why. Texted JB and he was able to see me within a few days. He came to my home, diagnosed the problem (the carburetor needed to be cleaned), and he was able to perform the maintenance on site without delay. $95 and about 30 minutes later and my lawnmower was working again. Maybe the repair cost was a little high BUT cleaning carburetors can be a pain in the arse and I consider it included the convenience of him coming to my home. We were without power over 24 hours with PG&E stating it would be restored every couple of hours. After that first 24 my husband pulled out an old generator that he had but would not start. We called JB's and told them the situation and they were here very shortly after, putting us first in line, after hearing we were without power. They ended up not only fixing that large generator but a small one we had also. It saved our refrigerator and outdoor stand up freezer from having spoiled food. We could not recommend JB's more strongly. They saved the day for us. There were prompt, courteous, and so reasonable we were astounded. Will use them for all of our small engine repair needs. JB is a nice guy with good intentions I think. Had my golf cart engine rebuilt after owning and running it for 6 years without any problems. It was time for a rebuild. My rebuild lasted only months before going bad. In the meantime, when I got my cart back, bolts were missing, clutch seemed not not engage. JB said my clutch was bad. I purchased and had him replace. Same problem. JB said it was a bad clutch. He replaced without charge (to his credit) but still the same problem. I'm no mechanic but if you try three clutches and they each have the same problem, the issue is not the clutch? Took beach the cart several time wasting time and gas. In the meantime I also took motorcross bike for simple repairs like tire changes. I was assured they could handle it. Then weeks would go by and calls would go unreturned. When I mentioned my concerns to JB, instead of correcting problems he would say that the repairs would cost 2-3 times as much somewhere else. I was not looking for cheap. I needed quality work at a fair price and I did not get that. Now he refuses to rebuild motor on cart now even though I'm offering to pay! Never again will I patronize that business. read more

I saw the yellow signs in my neighborhood and decided to give Jose a call to have my toro rototiller repaired. I needed a fairly new commercial quality leaf blower that is only used occasionally and not starting repaired. The repair shop diagnosis was low engine compression and not worth repairing. I found JB'S Mobile repair and asked him to diagnose the blower. He came to my home stated he could repair it and recommend whether to order new or original used parts and why. I had a Yamaha 2000is generator that did not start. He took it stating he needs more time to work on it and he said he could not find the part needed. So we agree on me picking it back up and he kept on ignoring phone calls and text messages for over a period of time. 4-5 months later I now get my generator back.
