I know a hamburger comes with bread but I never eat the bread. The burger came with pretty good fries, a very tasty coleslaw and some pickles. All in all it was tasty but not very very special. I couldn't figure out what the veggie burger was made of. My friend had the vegetarian pasta with a pesto sauce. She thought it had too much sauce. It was tasty but also not very special.

Also a good selection of bottles that's not available at many other places. The food isn't as unique, but it's tasty and well-cooked, and prices follow the same philosophy as for the beer. You can be sure to find something that fills you up for between 120-160 kr and also tastes really good. The crowd is a wild mix between young and old, locals (that maybe visit the place a bit too often for their own good), beer enthusiasts and others. But the atmosphere is almost always very good. The staff can seem a bit uncaring, but chances are they remember your preferred beer after a couple of visits, so be patient! :) A good visit during the winter when the place is warm and cozy and packed with people, as well as during summer when the outdoor tables let you enjoy the nice surrounding streets.

With every new place I visit, I'm always look for that perfect panoramic sky high view of the city. In Swedish "Himlen" means "Heaven". It also means the best free views of Stockholm. Well, its "free" if you're a penny pinching cheap ass budget traveler...take the elevator up to the 25th floor, hike up one more flight to the 26th floor, take a quick look, snap some unoriginal travel selfies, and go back to wherever the f**k your broke booty came from. Can't blame you, its gorgeous up here with great views of Stockholm from any angle. For those of you making over $100K/year, get yourself a reservation at a window side table at the fancy schmancy restaurant for some great views and hopefully equally great food. For those of making more than American minimum age but below $100K/year, grab a seat at the bar area. Order your drink of preference from one of the tattooed and bearded but handsome Viking hipster barmen. Draft beers are available for less than 70SEK, or be classier like my wife get a wine glass for 120+SEK. Maybe get the full meaty charcuterie plate for 195SEK; its loaded with cured meats and a couple cheeses, and fantastic. Ask for some free bread, its some of the best focaccia I've had. Drink, nosh, relax, and enjoy the sexy-mile-high-club level views of Stockholm. Perhaps come late in the afternoon, so you can gradually see Stockholm move from day light to night...at least order the cheapest beer if you're going to be hanging out in "Heaven" for that long...Swedish "Heaven" is a business after all.

The early afternoon sun was burning down on us with no shade in sight. So the cold beers went down quick, one after another. This naturally made a world of diffrence and may have been strategically orchestrated by members of my group. I had a mac and cheese which was surprisingly good. In hindsight, just about everything we ate in Stockholm was simply on another level. The quality and care that goes into the preparation is simply superior to what occurs back home. Dishes are kept simple and made with fresh ingredients. Everything is made to order. So all in all despite some of my initial reluctance we ended on a high note and had a great lunch. If you're young and hip this is definitely a place to go.

These tasted like they were made with beef and pork, which is a more popular recipe than 100% beef. They were very soft, moist, and flavorful. But they didn't have the distinctly rich peppery taste and aroma like those from Blå Dörren. The brown gravy was creamy, rich, yummy but a bit sweet. As with every meatball dish that we saw in Sweden, they came with a side of lingonberries and mashed potato. We also ordered a pan-fried sea bass which was delicious - didn't I tell you that besides meatballs, Sweden (and Stockholm in particular) is well-known for their seafood? First off, the fish tasted very fresh. The skin was rubbed with rosé peppers and pan-fried to golden crispiness. The meat was soft and flavorful but without a hint of fishiness (good!). The yummy white wine sauce complemented the fish perfectly well. The entrée also came with sautéed baby white rose potatoes, sautéed baby vegetables, and a small tomato salad. They were served separately on the side (see picture).

First and foremost the service was great from the moment I entered the restaurant through my end of meal coffee. The waitress was attentive and knew exactly when to stop by my table. I had an appetizer in the Executive Lounge so I started with my main...the specialty of the house...a wonderful cod which was perfectly prepared. Not a thing wrong with the dish. Each dish on the menu came with a recommendation for a wine pairing, which I went with and was not disappointed. For those carb lovers out there, the bread basket was well appointed and came with whipped butter. Overall, a great meal and I would definitely come back for the cod, wine and service.
