Heather patiently answered as many of my questions as she could, and Charlie (the owner) spent over an hour explaining the ins and outs of units. What I appreciated most was he didn't talk to me like I was dumb or try to oversell me - I felt like I was talking to someone who could best explain the needs for my house. Justin came by the following day and gave us several quotes on various units. He didn't try selling the most-expensive unit (or even the step up from what we're getting). He also explained the ductwork and why the construction would be as extensive as planned. Our ducts are original to our 1970s house, and there are all kinds of holes that are beyond repair. Between the time we scheduled our unit install and the actual date (8 days from now ), Madd Air has handled any issues we've had to ensure we are comfortable. Our unit ran out of coolant and needed to be charged, and Justin added enough to hold us over. Their prices are right in line with the market, and in my opinion, they do far more than what other companies with the same quote can offer. We are customers for life and have referred friends and family to give Madd Air a try.

When they arrived they were focused on trying to evaluate my air conditioning system rather than focus on the quote I requested. When the salesman realized he wasn't going to get any upsell wiggle room, he told me they don't do blown in insulation for less than three grand. This is more than every other company that offered quotes by as much as 50%. I would avoid based on the 'sales first' pushiness of the company. They are less interested in providing value to customers than pushing their sales. A company needs jobs to be profitable, but this is something else entirely.

Once on site, he quickly diagnosed the issue, took the time to explain what was wrong, and showed me exactly what needed to be fixed. What I appreciated most was his honesty and transparency. He didn't try to upsell me or take advantage of the situation, and the repair was completed quickly at a fair price. It's not often you find someone who is responsive, punctual, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. If you're looking for an HVAC company that genuinely cares about its customers, I highly recommend KAC Express and Trung.

Said we had a leak and that they couldn't send someone out to fix it until Monday. Oh and that it would be between 11-13k to fix it. After being fed up with the Texas heat and our home being at 80, I sent in a form on KAC website around 9:30pm. Not expecting to hear anything until today (Sunday) but to my surprise Trung called us almost immediately and told us they'd send someone out the next morning at 8am! Trung called us at 7:30am Sunday to let us know they were on the way (INCREDIBLE!!) and they not only quoted us cheaper than the original company we had come out, but said they'd fix it TODAY. So happy I could cry!! They're here now fixing it, and Daniel, Manny and Sidro are the most kindest, and honest people. Not to mention Trung came over himself to say hi and see if we needed anything. You can tell KAC is here to help, not screw you over like other companies do. I am referring KAC to everyone!

Working with Stephanie via Yelp was super easy and fast responses. Thank you, Stephanie. Shawn came out, very professional, knowledgeable, and wasn't looking to make a quick buck and leave. Provided a lot of information for me and was willing to explain my situation as well as provide some good info to bring back to my builder to save money. I don't know any company that is looking out for the little man especially during this economy. Conley Cooling and Heating will be my HVAC company I use for now on and will be suggesting them to my family and friends. Trust me, don't go to big names companies (Moore/Abacus) and so on. Conley is here to help and treat you like family. My condensation lines run across my attic to master bedroom sinks and cause ton of blocks and issues. Shawn was able to provide me estimate and information on terminating it outside instead of a p-trap in the sink which most builders are doing now. To be clear, the technicians at Texas Mechanical Strong were great. Professional, respectful, and clearly doing their best. My issue is entirely with the owner. I was sold an $8,000 two-ton, two-speed unit to service a roughly 600 sq ft master bedroom and bathroom. Even with my limited HVAC knowledge, I knew the unit was oversized. But the owner was extremely confident and assured me it was the right solution. It was not. The system has been a complete failure. Humidity regularly exceeds 60% RH, and trying to correct this has turned into a drawn-out mess. And the unit itself is only half the problem. The other half is the owner, Rey. Because the system wasn't performing as promised, I had to repeatedly call the company to inspect it. That is not my fault. I was sold a product that does not do what it was sold to do. During these visits, his own technicians told me that the owner referred to me as an "annoying customer." They also questioned why this particular unit was ever recommended for such a small space in the first place. I understand I was working within a budget. What I don't accept is being sold a poorly suited system just so the company could hit a price point. What made things worse was Rey repeatedly insisting that I demanded RH in the 50s. I have zero recollection of ever saying that. When I pushed back and pointed out that 50s is not the only acceptable or realistic target, he became defensive and sarcastically suggested that maybe he "isn't an expert" and "doesn't know what he's doing." He also claimed he has the same unit in his own home and that it works great. That comparison is meaningless. His home is far larger than a 600 sq ft space. The final straw was when they came out to run tests and told me they would return a week later. Whatever adjustments were made actually made things worse. Humidity began spiking into the 60s and 70s. I reached out to Rey directly and was completely ignored. I genuinely feel bad leaving this review because the technicians were solid, and they are the only reason this company isn't getting an even lower rating. But the way this situation was handled at the ownership level was insulting, dismissive, and unacceptable.

But they will give us a good deal. Did a credit check and called back with a different plan and proceeded to pressure us into buy their Lennox. Didn't happen. John came out to give a diagnosis, and he was extremely knowledgeable about my Daikin mini split four-port ductless hvac system. The tech from another company who installed it, should have brazed all 4 refrigerant lines to ensure that there wouldn't be any leaks or suggested I do so. The other company had a one month work warranty which I was informed is a red flag but honestly didn't want to get anymore work done by them after this tedious job and getting U0 error code after exactly 1 month. He showed me which units were leaking, but I decided to get all four units done to avoid issues in the future with the others. The diagnosis fee was waived due to getting the work done by the company. The price was affordable and on point. I can't say how grateful I am to them, because all of my saved up funds going towards the initial install with the other company. The pic shows minimal repair needing to be done after they meticulously worked on each unit which I will get patched up and painted. Vibrant made it right, and I can't sing enough of John's praises!

While the technician was professional, the estimate they gave was outrageous. The technician said I needed a new evaporator coil. If you look online, you'd be hard-pressed to find one for more than $1,000. He mentioned it would take two technicians and six hours to complete the job. Even if we assume the technicians charge $100 per hour (which is a stretch), that brings the labor cost to $1,200, and the total so far to $2,200. Let's add a 50% markup for the company, which brings the total to $3,300. That's still high, but they quoted me $4,980! Obviously, I shopped around and found a much more reasonable estimate--nearly 50% less from a reputable company. The bad business practice here is charging nearly $100 for the diagnostic, knowing the estimate was outrageous. You could literally build a business around giving inflated estimates with the sole intention of collecting diagnostic fees.

A human sized hole in my attic, the crew cut down to 1 guy, "finished" at midnight, but the system is still unbalanced and the job is still not finished. I DO NOT BLAME THE INSTALLERS. It was a really young crew which i loved to see because we desperately need people in trades. They all were well versed in everything they were doing, knowledgeable, and had a hell of a lot of hustle. Accidents happen, and I get it. I blame the company, its safety protocols, and the complete lack of response to my continued requests of a quality check (which i'm now getting after a week and the system is unbalanced b/c no dampers were installed)and a phone call from someone in mgmt to discuss my concerns...But also, I think Alpine Investments (private equity) is now the owner of Apex Solutions, which i believe jointly owns Air Tech with an individual in houston. So the inability to email anyone (info@elitecomfortservices.com as stated as their email to reach them at DOES NOT EXIST), reach a manager, speak to someone other than a service tech/scheduler...all by design. After this all happened, i recieved an invoice the following morning. YOUR OWNERS FROM OUTSIDE DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS.
