Phenomenal company. I had some problems with a/c freezing over on Thursday and Friday. My previous a/c guy could not come out until Friday to fix the problem. He told me I was going to need a new unit. Turns out it just need cleaning. After being cleaning there was leak in my downstairs bedroom. Mitch was able to trace the problem to a plumbing line being clogged. Fantastic a/c man. Doesn't try to sell u something you do not need and is there right away when you need. My wait time was 1 hour for Air Wise, not 1 day like my previous a/c man. I have found a new home here and come to find out several of my neighbors use him as well. I've gone through several HVAC providers in the past couple of years, and have struggled to find someone that's honest, reliable, responsive and reasonably priced. Based on reviews, and the fact that they are located close by, I left a message for Mitch at Air Wise one afternoon. He returned my call later that day and left me a voicemail with his cellphone number, offering that I could text if it was more convenient. A day later, I texted Mitch about my needs. I wanted someone to perform the semi annual checkup on my system (basic tune up) and also replace two zone dampers that had failed a few months earlier. Mitch was available the next day and came to my home. He did the semi-annual maintenance there and then for a very fair price, and gave me a quote for the dampers. Although these could have been replaced under warranty (with me just paying for labor), Mitch informed me that the "builder grade" dampers I had would fail again (I had heard this before) and that he recommended replacing them with a higher quality product. I reviewed his quote and realized it was less than half of what one vendor had quoted me, and about the same as another (but they were going to give me the same dampers under warranty, whereas Mitch was swapping them for a better product). Obviously, I went with Air Wise, and I am glad I did. The work was performed the next morning. The technicians were polite, respectful and cleaned up after themselves. More importantly, my AC now works GREAT! Air Wise is truly a small local business. When you call, you deal with Mitch only - he's the owner, chief technician, estimator and salesperson, as well as an extremely nice and affable gentleman to boot. Air Wise will be my go to HVAC provider going forward. Highly recommended! read more

I would put 0 stars; however, 1 is the least I can enter. AVOID AT ALL COST!! Mitch is an unscrupulous business man. His "I do business via handshake; NOT a contract..." means he can get away with anything during the installation. I used him based on a referral, and should have listened to my wife who thought his business practice was shady. Mitch misjudged what he needed to install an AC system in our house. Halfway through the installation, he noticed that he could not use my current attic stairs, and that he would need to install NEW attic stairs. He contracted a carpenter to build NEW attic stairs and had them built. At the same time of the AC installation, we had an electrician over at our house fixing our electrical system. Mitch asked us if he could use them for the electrical component for the AC system. When the electricians were done, they presented me with 2 bills - 1 for me and 1 for Mitch. I paid both assuming Mitch would reimburse me for the work he had done on our system. Mitch's response was that, since he paid for the carpenter to build new attic stairs, I should pay for the electrician. I told him that I'm sorry for your oversight; however, this electrical bill is yours to pay, not ours. He REFUSED to pay the amount for electrical services rendered on HIS behalf. His mistake ended up costing us more. I would recommend everyone stay away from his unethical and unscrupulous business practices. read more

Mitch and his team at Airwise installed a state-of-the-art 5 ton air conditioner with variable speeds and 4 zones Wow!!! Their people were polite, and I felt comfortable with leaving them with my wife and 3 girls in the house. They cleaned up after them themselves, & all their work was neat. Air Wise sold me a whole Carrier system replacement back in 2015. Since then it has broken down twice. Even though it has a 10 year warranty, and bought through Air Wise they don't stand behind their product. I have been charged over $1000.00 for labor on a unit they sail telling buyers this is the best AC/Heat unit with the best warranty that covers 10 years! But what they don't tell you is the warranty does not cover labor and that Air Wise charges $$$ for their techs to use your tools and garage to fix it. Don't go with Air Wise and Carrier has turned into JUNK! read more

Last night my A/C started making eerie noises, like a vicious swarm of bees. I called AirWise during my lunch at work today, then met Mitch at my house after work. First off, I really appreciate fast service and AirWise definitely has that. Mitch came to the house, calling 15 minutes before he arrived and took time to listen to all of my concerns and things I've noticed. He had my A/C blowing correctly about an hour later, as my return air seal was leaking air. He spent time to explain everything, which is how the words "return air" are now in my vocabulary. I would highly recommend AirWise, just as much as I would highly recommend having A/C in the Houston summer. read more

I am being sued by Air Wise. Instead of installing new Trane, system, they installed a scratch and dent American Standard. They did not pull a permit or install to Code. They gouged my walls and wood work during the installation. Even though two weeks before installation of the new unit they charged me $175 to clean the drain pipe, the drain was clogged. They said a float switch came with the new unit. Indeed Houston's Code mandates it. However no float switch was installed. Less than three weeks after installation of the new system, I discovered my house was flooded by a major air conditioner leak. The water extraction took a whole week there was so much water. My new hardwood floors were damaged and my sheet rock is moldy. The platform the unit sits on is ruined. They promised full financing but that fell through. I paid $4,600 cash and was to finance the rest. However, the finance company refuses to finance until the A/C is correctly installed, but Air Wise will not even submit my damages to their CGL carrier. I cannot afford to fix the damages which must be fixed before the unit is reinstalled. Mitch Weigand said he was going to fix everything but, even as he said that he secretly filed suit against me for the balance and almost $1,000 more. I only found out about the law suit from an attorney who sent me a form letter. Mitch Weigand was stringing me along with false promises which he now refuses to honor. Once again, Mitch saved the day. My AC furnace went out Sunday AM. I called at 7:30AM, he was in my home at 10:30AM that same day. It was time to replace my 23 year old furnace in the sweltering attic. He was on a 7 day backlog--he managed it on an expedited basis on Tuesday. I've used Mitch for 15 years and can give him an unqualified recommendation. He's been to my home on Christmas eve to fix my heater, gutted the air ducts in my old 1949 house and positioned them so they'd work more efficiently, replaced an AC--fixed one under warranty, and bent over backwards to accommodate us every time there's any kind of issue. read more

I HAD been extremely satisfied with AirWise in the past, they have installed two HVAC systems in my home. The second system was installed spring 2015, I was extremely pleased until I turned my heater on this weekend in the 30-40 degree temps to discover I did not have any heat from the newest unit. When I texted Mitch on Sunday afternoon he told me to call the office Monday morning (temps were mid 30's overnight.) When I called this morning Mitch was extremely rude and berated me for thinking he should have serviced my new unit over the weekend so I would have heat. His words I could have "camped out" downstairs where I did have heat rather than expect he come to see why my brand new unit was not working. I guess I have unreasonable expectations that for $8,500 I should have heat the first time I turn it on. Maybe Mitch is having a bad weekend, but when I pay for a product I expect it to work or at least have an apology and I will get someone right over there to get this working. I am a business owner and if I treated my clients the way I was just treated I would not have any clients. read more
