The doctor who helped me was nice- she was a shorter Asian lady - sorry; didn't get her name. The vet techs try their best but they seem depressed. The doctor whose dog knocked over her coffee mug and then received a "what the f--- is your problem?!" remark needs to be fired. This lady screamed at her dog at the top of her lungs. It was horrible. And then I get an email saying they can't wait to see my cat again (I had two in there but okay)... I never made an appointment. Clean your place and get rid of that mean, nasty vet. I just switched to Enon Vet Hospital because it's closer to my home in Fairborn. I loved everything about my visit. I didn't mind waiting in my car until a room was ready for my pet, and I loved how I didn't need to go in the room with my pet. Just like with my kids, I don't like watching shots being administered to my animals. The staff greeted me and my pet with smiles and made us feel so welcome. The vet tech that I spoke with asked if I had any concerns, and let me know what to expect and got my consent before treatment was administered. The vet came out and spoke to me personally and addressed all concerns or questions I had. I didn't catch her name, but she was super friendly. I am so glad I switched specifically to this vet and would definitely recommend them to anyone in the area! read more

We just took our cat for an assessment for a tooth removal. Although the assessment was too high for us, we did like the practice and the vet. In response to the reviewers who suggest the owner cannot come in with their pet, this is not the case. You can just walk in with your pet, wait in their waiting room and then go in with your cat/dog. My cat had a blockage and they did see him right a way. I thought that was great! With COVID-19 going around. They seemed nice and concerned, did X-rays and blood work and gave him a enema. Didn't help, we took him back 2 more times and all they did is give him another enema. 3 more of them! I asked if they could go up and remove the blockage and the vet said ( I don't want to do that, I have to use my finger) I ordered from them medicine $60.00 a bottle. Didn't help! 100% wouldn't recommend this vet. Based off my experience and other reviews they're untrustworthy. I called yesterday to schedule an appointment and was told to call today at 8am. I called at 8am on the dot and then again at 803am and sent a text to their text line at 804am. I never heard back by 845am so I called again and they tell me they're all booked for the day. How is that possible? Then tell me I can come in and just wait until they squeeze me in and the lady told me expect a long wait. Absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. Go somewhere else if you want quality care, they don't have it here. read more

This vets office makes you wait in the car with your pet until a room is open. I arrived for my 11:40 appointment at 11:30 and called as instructed. I was there to get my Boston terrier puppy her first shots. It was about 90 degrees out and very humid. We stayed in the car with the air on until about 15 minutes after our 11:40 appointment. I called back and was told as soon as a room was open they would call us to come in. I wait 10 more minutes and get the pup out to walk around she is getting restless. It's a gravel lot no shade. I had to eventually get back in since she doesn't do well in the heat I waited a little longer and then left. I made it home and in my house when at 12:35 I received a phone call to come in. I told the lady I left and how awful it is to let people sit in their lot like that for 30 minutes or longer without at least a text or call that they are running behind. She was rude and told me it's better than a 10 hour wait for an emergency vet. We were just there for puppy shot I would have came back gladly given the option. Not everyone has heat or air in their vehicle and not everyone can let their vehicle run for over 30 minutes like that. She told me if they are behind they don't have time to call or text people to let them know. Instead let the sit in your parking lot and bake in the sun?? Even at a doctors office they let know that they are running behind. The lady hung up on me. When I initially called to make the appointment they asked when the pup had her shots from the breeder. I wasn't sure and the lady gave me a hard time then too saying it has to be 3-4 weeks at least so I needed to start the shots over. I told her that was fine. Then she told me they were booked out for 5 weeks? Wouldn't that have taken care of that 3-4 week waiting period she mentioned. The vet may be great but the front desk desk is running the business off. I can't imagine it being January and people having to wait for an hour in the car in their lot. read more

This vet is absolutely awful went in for simple things and a check up and left with a 1000+ bill for a bunch of stuff I never asked for or even needed. My dog was twice as bad when he left there I stopped all the medication they gave me and he's way better. They just want to add on as much money as they can and get you o out of you and then send you out the door. Wish I could give it zero stars this place is trash! read more

This place used to be wonderful. Now with the new ownership, it's gone downhill quite a bit. Always overbooked. Never can get a pet in for an illness that needs to be seen now. Not 1.5-2 weeks later. I have used this vet for 15 years now at least. They always seem to be treating emergencies, yet when my pet is in need of emergency services - they are too booked. I've never wanted to switch vets more than I do now. Want to find someone I can actually get into when my dog is ill and needs to be seen promptly. They referred me to MedVet or wherever else as if I have the money for that when my vet is open and should have sick appointments available. I called first thing in the morning but never got anyone to answer. Was told to try again tomorrow. As if I'll get through tomorrow either. In the 15 minute window they give you for a same day appointment. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Super bummed about this place, but I really think that they could fix a few things and have major positive results. For reference, I have two cats, Luna (black cat, 6 y/o) and Oliver (grey cat, 1 y/o). Luna is my first pet (so I'm very overprotective) and Oliver I bottle-fed and cared for since he was 3 weeks old. I consider my pets to be my family and I love them TONS. I called and got an evening appointment for Luna (check up and rabies shot) and Oliver (check up, medications for eye, and rabies shot) for the same day, which was really awesome. (Point for them!) The vet tech (male, don't remember his name) tried to get weight and temp from each cat, but was rough and Oliver hissed and lunged at him. Based on how he interacted with my kitten, I told him to wait to do anything with Luna till later. I overheard him call my Luna a "mean cat" because I explained she gets scared and overwhelmed at the vet and hisses at people. I didn't want this to happen to him and wanted to reduce her anxiety and stress, so I told him to wait till later. Don't call my cat mean. You don't freaking know her and you didn't even try to get her to like you. He acted all offended cause Luna didn't like him, but why would either one of them like you when you barge in and try to take their temp by shoving it up their butt?? The actual vet was very nice, soothing, and really worked to get Luna to feel comfortable with her. I really appreciated this, cause Luna had a bad history before I adopted her and any attempts to make her feel more comfortable go miles in my book...I recommend this place only for the female vet. The vet told me that because Oliver had a fever and had pink eye, he couldn't get the rabies vaccine, and told me that Luna's teeth needed cleaning. For parsimony, I could bring him in when Luna got her teeth cleaned...she would get her teeth cleaned and he would get the shot. The vet was super helpful and really listened to my fears about Luna being at the vet office for any period of time...and told me that it was definitely a possibility for me to NOT drop off my Luna the day of the dental cleaning, but rather receive a phone call and for me to bring her in, get the shot to go to sleep, and go to sleep in my arms. My first experience there I would rate as a 6/10, mainly because the vet listened to me and called Luna a good girl after getting to know her. I left pretty optimistic about Luna's upcoming dental procedure, even though I was overcharged for their appointments (took ten minutes to figure out and straighten out). Their office is definitely small and cramped and you can clearly hear other dogs and cats meowing and barking, which heightens a lot of animal's anxiety. Plus, their doors swing open and shut, but it's always a startle when people come in-- they just barge in and have the door loudly swing shut behind them. I called and scheduled Luna's dental procedure and was reassured that I would receive a phone call approximately 30 minutes before Luna's anticipated procedure time. I got a phone call (on the day of) stating that I missed the drop off time of 0830 and would I like to reschedule? I explained to two receptionists and the vet (a male, different than the last time) the procedure that WAS ALREADY ESTABLISHED. Only to hear that "if she bites you it's not our fault" and "yeah we can do this, I guess" ....does no one communicate there?? I got a phone call at 1130 to drop her off, which tells me that Luna would have been alone and scared for THREE HOURS. I'm so glad I was able to drop her off. The vet tech was very loud and I told her to lower her voice because Luna was experiencing a lot of anxiety. Why do you have to yell when I'm right here? She left the room, and of course, the door swung loudly. I'm assuming she took offense, but I'm not sorry for speaking up to gently ask you to lower your voice so my cat feels less anxiety. The vet called me twice after I left, updating me about her status and requesting to pull additional teeth, which was fine and appreciated. While Luna was out I also asked for bloodwork and x-rays to be done, since she does get overwhelmed and scared at the vet's. They took care of these requests, which I appreciate, and told me to pick Luna up at 3. I called at 2 and was told that even though Luna was fine, I couldn't see the vet until 4/4:30...why would that even be a thing? If Luna is good at 3, let's have her outta there at 3. I reminded the receptionist that I would bring Oliver for his rabies shot and was told that it was not possible....despite this being a previously established thing. When I tried to clarify, the receptionist told me that she would tell the vet that I "INSISTED on Oliver getting his shot." I already paid for the freaking shot! Why do I have to fight to get things actually done, even when they were already agreed upon?? Does no one communicate there?? Where is your empathy? For the amount of work that it takes, I don't recommend going. read more

I love taking my dog here for grooming. She always comes out looking great and my dog loves the groomer. One time we got there early and she was still being worked on and she looked relaxed with the groomer and the groomer looked so at ease with her. My dog usually fights grooming but she seems to really like her. She's needing grooming soon so I will definitely be going back there. Definitely no complaints. read more

I had to go 3 stars because Dr. Roth was so good with my 13 year old dog that had an ear infection a couple of months ago, otherwise it would be 1 star. I took my 11 year old dog over there this past weekend because she needed a checkup and vaccinations. The elder Dr. Schumann saw her. I had agreed to have her checked for heartworms, because it's better to know than to not. I was charged for a heartworm test that as far as I'm concerned was not done. Of course everyone I spoke with said that her chart had the notation of a negative result. (I called Saturday afternoon and left a message. For all I know, they added that. They certainly did not return that call. I may have tipped my hand.) I called this afternoon and was told someone would call to explain. They called, put the doctor on the phone and he proceeded to tell me that he wasn't in the habit of lying, which was essentially calling me a liar. He did offer to do the test again and check her heart again (she's always had a heart murmur. He says he didn't hear one. And why do a test that would be unnecessary? I mean, it allegedly had already been done.) She's 11; she gets nervous at the vet. I worry about her. $25 will not make or break me, but I'm big on principle. I don't sit around and try to think of ways to not pay a bill. I did call my card company to dispute the charge -- not all of it, just the $25 -- and rather quickly, my account was credited that amount. I thought this place would be a good fit for us as we recently moved to the area and it's fairly close. There are other vets close too. Ask to see Dr. Roth or watch everything they do and ask questions the whole time you are there. I'm tempted to say demand to see test results, even if you don't know what any of it means. By all means, check your bill before you leave. read more

I was referred by a friend who takes his dog here. I began bringing my cats( I have 8 between my indoor and the ones folks drop off or fail to fix)that I care for. They have been very good to me and my babies. they are fair in costs and assist me when they can because of the large number I care for. I found almost all of the staff to be caring and concerned good hearted people who act with compassion and integrity. My cats have been pretty pleased with their treatment as well. I think I had one complaint, that was a tech who claimed to have taken a temp on my first visit with my cat. I never saw her, nor did my son, and based upon cats reaction the second visit it was pretty obvious she had not done so on the first visit because we would would have known. I am a former home health aide and as diligent in the care of my animals as my former patent's just skipped over the temp taking and had entered a temp. But I honestly can tell you this place is full of many caring staff members. read more

Today I received in the mail a letter written by the vet himself (the aforementioned Dr. Jeff Schumann) regarding the experience I had at his clinic. Apparently he found my review here on Yelp and felt that a response was necessary due to my not-so-great first experience. His responses were reasonable and well-considered, and I especially appreciated that he took the time to write. Although at this time I have found a new vet who my cat adores, I would not hesitate to offer Enon Veterinary Hospital as an option to anyone who asks. However, I offer that statement with this addendum - be a active consumer and speak up if you are unhappy - the on-staff vet is proactive about his "customer" satisfaction. I recently had to make the gut wrenching decision to put down my beloved cat (Beefcake) of 17 years. Words can not express how thoughtful, kind and compassionate every single person at Enon Veterinary Hospital was. This was the first experience I had with losing a fury companion, and they could not have gone more above and beyond to ease my loss. From the professional and considerate bedside manner the day of, to the extremely thoughtful cast of her paw and then the very unexpected personalized (by every staff member) card in the mail a week later with a tiny mento of her fur, I was overwhelmed with gratitude and appreciation. I should mention that my cat had been to this clinic just once before, 15 years prior, and the respect they showed for her and my family was as if they had seen her for years. My family has been going to the Enon Veterinary Hospital for 15 years and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They've always taken our concerns about our animals to heart. In the 15 years we've been going there they've treated 11 of our family pets at different times. We had our Yorky, Mitsy, euthanized there when she developed a large degree of cancer and she was in incurable pain and received letters of sympathy from the vet. We found our Siberian husky, Sadie, running the streets and took her in, she had been badly beaten and shot in the side by her previous owner. The vet helped us figure out how to encourage her to adapt to a non-abusive household. In April of this year, she began having seizures every 15-30 minutes, we had to take her to an emergency vet where they euthanized her. My family was devastated by the loss of such an amazing family member and even though they had nothing to do with the loss, the doctors and nurses at Enon Veterinary Hospital sent us several heart-felt letters and poems to help us cope with the loss of our dog. I have always and will continue to take my pets to this establishment because they care for our pets as we do, as family members. The feel our happiness, our pain, and our worries for our family.
