The receptionist said, "Well​ if you can get him in here at either 1 pm or 3 pm we can look at him, but we just can't let you bring him in anytime without a specific appointment. Needless to say, there was no offer of help or options, nor suggestions given. I'm very disappointed in the attitude and lack of concern or passion for an animal in need.

The first time was for a weekend and only a few days. We were happy with the way our dog was taken care of and how they were able to fit our dog in seeing they were full. The second time we were not happy at all. We dropped our dog off May 6th 2025 and picked him up after 9:00 am on May 12th 2025. I brought his food and a blanket with us because he is so attached to my husband and wanted him to have something with his dads smell on it. Just so he would feel comfortable while we were gone. We arrived to pick him up the lady at the counter asked if he was scheduled to have a bath and we said yes and she said OK. We paid and she asked for his collar and leash and she would go get him for us. when he was brought out to us his ears were back and He had brush marks in his fur with the strong smell of doggie cologne. (I thought it was just the smell of the dog shampoo until we got home.) She told me he had not ate yet this morning. I said OK I will feed him when we get home. When we took him outside to load him in the truck, he peed a long time then ran to the grass and pooped telling me he had not been out yet that morning. I told the lady that we had a blanket and she said oh let me go get it. She brought it out to me in a bag and said it was in the washer waiting to be washed. I said that is ok I will wash it. the blanket smelled and had something on it not sure what it was. The odor was like it had laid in the bottom of an outhouse. When we got home, he ate right away. He held his ears back for most of the day and was not his playful self. We went outside and came back in and I smelt an odor that was so bad. I cleaned out my trash can clean the garbage disposal. Still the smell was ungodly. Then I bent down to hug my dog and there it was. As a dog owner maybe, I spoil my dog too much and many may not think it is a big deal, but I feel like my dog laid in a cage for 6 days in his own feces. Just a side note our dog has never peed or pooped in the house. He would hold it until someone got home. telling me he pooped and peed in the cage because he had no choice. This is the reason I waited a week before contacting them because every time my dog looked at me, he had sad eyes and I felt so bad for what I let my dog go through. My heart was breaking every time I looked at him. I know if I would have talked to someone the moment I found out where the smell was coming from (by the way we paid for a bath) that I would not have a kind thing to say. all I have to say is shame on the staff at Tannenberg!!!! After speaking to the owner and hearing her tell me what Tannenberg offers and what she expects from her staff I would have written a different review if that was the service my dog received. With that being said I will not be using this business again. I hope this helps open the eyes of the staff and helps them to better themselves and helps fill the expectations of the owner. Also that the owner takes this to heart and fills her staff with people who really care for pets the way a pet owner would.

I recently changed from Bigger Road to visit a closer Veterinary Clinic, and while everyone has been wonderful, there is just not the same level of care as Bigger Road Vet Center. I especially appreciate and place my trust with Dr. Alison Crocker and Dr. Elizabeth Blakelock -- two extraordinary veterinarians within this group of top-notch professionals. We thought they could stabilize her. They refused to unlock doors talked to us thru glass said they can't help, no appointment. We made a long trip to Kettering Care Center and my dog ended up dying. When I went to pick her up at or about 1539 (charged for another day since it was after 1200), I was told by the staff I talked to (there were 3) that my dog had not been given her meds at all, with no answer as to why. I asked if someone could call me with an answer. I gave her the dose as soon as I got her in my truck. Mike called and left a VM saying she did in fact get her dose that morning. When I called back to inform him that I just double dosed my dog with Prozac based on their misinformation, all he basically had to say was "sorry " and "better call your vet." If you are considering patronizing this business, please take this incident into consideration. For all they know a double dose could have killed her, and with certain other medications, it could in fact have. It's a shame because I was a regular customer and this location is very convenient for me. However, I think this was a pretty close call. Add the apparent lack of concern by the management, and I can no longer, with any good conscience, trust this facility with my dog.

I was impressed with the clean facility, nice helpful, efficient staff when I dropped off the pets. My wife picked one of the standard plans that provided walks and play time sessions for the beagle. The facility has spacious outdoor areas for walking and play. I did not see kennel area, but was assured that dog had his own cage. The cats were housed in spacious individual cages that have several compartments - one for water, one for food, a sleeping compartment and nice lounging area each. Before dropping off the pets, we had to present pet's current vaccinations records. Also, provide pet food (bagged for each meal).

Our cats are indifferent, but the staff makes them comfortable. We love that they have a separate entrance for cats and dogs. Even though our cats are fine with dogs, I know many are not, so this makes things a lot easier for pet owners. Twin Maples also has an on-site hospital, so they can handle emergencies as well. We haven't ever had an issue with scheduling or getting our pets in when they are sick. The staff is also great at returning our phone calls and letting us speak with the vets on the phone with questions. We like them so much that after we had a horrible experience with Paws Inn on Kingsridge with the cats we co-own with a family member, we moved them over to Twin Maples and have been very pleased with the switch.
