Unbeatable for the price! To start, I have a large Pyrenees and Poodle mix. We moved recently to the area and she didn't get brushed enough while moving and got matted. I found this place and I only paid $85 for my somewhat matted, fairly large and fluffy doodle to be cut down to about half an inch. I got way more than I expected for $85 dollars when I picked her up and they were able to save her long tail and enough on her face to give her a rounded look. She's got these cute bows on her ears and a matching bandana - so cute!! For my dog to be comfortable again and for me to not have to try to clip her nails or bathe this massive dog at home, this is so worth the cost. We took our dog here a couple of times and it was an alright job. But the last time I requested a "trim" for my Aussiedoodle, as it was winter and I didn't want her whole coat gone. She just needed a bath, trim, and nails cut. I dropped her off at 11am and didn't get her back until 5pm right as they were closing. I had my girlfriend pick our dog up and they had COMPLETELY shaved all her fur off. When I asked for a trim. They said to her "her fur was too matted so we took it all off". And they still made her pay $50 which is absolutely outrageous. Our dog went from looking like the cutest dog ever to a complete train wreck. They did not call or consult with me whatsoever. My Dog also acted odd and kind of more timid than usual when we get her back every time. My girlfriend heard the owners yelling at Luna right as she walked in. AND to top it all off my dog had to go to the bathroom like crazy afterward which is way more than usual, meaning they didn't even bother to let her out once in that 6 hour time-span. The term you pay for what you get is 1000% accurate . I brought my two Pomeranians here for the second groom. The first we had a decent experience nothing great groom wise they just shave them down and for 35$ what more can you ask for . On this particular day I took them in at 11 am they told me 4:30 pm latest they would be done I called twice once at 12 and once at 2 to confirm just because I had somewhere to be at 5:15 and couldn't be late . I got there at 4:35 and one was done the other not even started ... so from 11- 4 they had only had baths just sitting there waiting ... ? I without concern told the lady who groomed them not a problem I'll just have to bring Bella back type next day or week as I don't have time to wait for her, she said that was fine and tried to charge me 20$ for a bath !!!!! I told her absolutely not due to the fact she had one a couple days prior and my main concern was getting her groomed and her nails clipped as they were digging into her paws not a bath as she would probably need another one coming in another day as is . She called the owner over the owner very kindly said that's fine $36 for the other and the groomer flipped out !!! She started screaming throughout the store I never told her 4:30 I would never do that !!!! I kindly told her it was you I spoke to on the phone 2ce today and when the owner asked her if I called twice she told her i don't know I didn't answer every time . When I say screamed I mean this lady was screaming though this shop it scared the hell out of me , not to mention I am 8 months pregnant as this lady is yelling at me . There were other dogs there so I don't know how they felt but I know my dog was so scared he peed on the ground . I told her I may bring them back the next day and her mood changed she stated to smile almost bipolar and completely changed. Driving home I thought to myself I would rather pay 100$ a dog at a place that knows how threat customers, is kind to pets and Cherish's customer service not act like the animals themselves . I can't even say she cut my dog well she gave a Pomeranian a flat top like he was joining the military . I've used Fairborn Pet Grooming for my dogs for close to 15 years. I am very pleased with their service and handling of my fur babies. I have brought in my dogs as pups as well as special needs seniors. I have always been pleased. Another review recommends an appointment - which I agree, you should probably call ahead. They stay very busy (which is a good sign). I have almost always been able to get in same day, if not, the following day. Most ladies wouldn't go to their hair salon to get a wash, cut, blow dry and style without an appointment. Your pet is no different so I am perfectly ok with setting up an appointment. read more

Only wish that it was possible to give a 0 star review. Absolutely the WORST grooming experience my dog has had in her 10 years, anything that could not be done quickly with clippers was not done. Her face and muzzle were cut uneven, her ears were not touched and her body was cut uneven, absolutely NO attempt to even out the spots in question with scissors was done and when I picked her up it appeared almost as if she hadn't been groomed at all. Either her groomer was A) intoxicated, B) in too much of a hurry to care about the quality of their work, or C) Just didn't give a damn.....She had been there 7 hours so they had ample opportunity to do something other than a half assed job. Can't say I know much about dog grooming , but I'm sure I could have done nearly as good a job as they did at home (defeating the purpose of having a so called professional groom your pet) . Don't be fooled by how inexpensive this place is, in this case you get what you pay for. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE EBOLA VIRUS, EVEN IF IT MEANS HAVING TO DRIVE TO SIDNEY TO HAVE YOUR DOG GROOMED ! read more

Not too bad. They did an okay job on my cat. While I should have asked how much a wash and a cut was for her before I dropped her off, she was in dire need. She matted up in several spots and needed a good shave. My cat has been shaved into a lions cut several times to reduce the fur from her winter coat and didn't think it would have been an issue since all the other groomers never mentioned any problems with her. We came to pick her up and the lady told me it was $85. I had to pick my jaw up from the counter. She said she was difficult and didn't like the water. Well how many cats actually enjoy the water?? Not many, right? She said she was so difficult it took three groomers to hold her down to wash and cut her. So, okay? Why should I be charged more than double for that? That is their job, no? At least give me a heads up that it might be $85 friggin dollars! Not going back here. read more

Price was right and the team gives me the impression they enjoy her... even though she is often a mess and high energy. My doodle gets excited to see her groomer! This place is by far the most reasonable pet grooming in the area. I highly recommend them. I have taken our pup to a bunch of other places in the local area and this place is tons better than any of the ones I previously tried. The groomers are always very friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. My little guy is finicky but he never complains when he has to visit and he comes home looking sparkling white, silky and smelling handsome. I took my dog to get her nails done. When we walked in the one lady asked if we needed nails done we said yes. She took the leash from my daughter and wouldn't listen to her about the leash so then another lady came by and from behind my dog and picked her up and it scared my dog so she wasn't happy! They was rude about how she was being bc she was scared she was nibbling on her bc she don't bite. So when she did that they was trying to put a muzzle on her and that made it worse I asked to come back and help she snapped at me and said no. I know my dog and these ladies wasn't listening to me and I was not happy at all!! So I will NEVER go there again... My dog is a sweetheart and never has acted like this! We left that place took her to another place in Kettering and she was fine and never had a problem there! So if u have a bigger dog don't take them there! So if u have a pit don't take them there bc they are very mean and my pit is a lover and gives hugs and kisses! Never again my dog has not acted the same since we left there today!! read more

We have taken our dogs here a few times with no issues. This past time however is a different story. One of our dogs has extra claws on her front legs. The groomer (owner) hit one while combing her and stated it was a mass and she was able to squeeze black stuff out of it. We ended up having to take her to the vet because it became infected. Per the vet it's not a mass and should have not been squeezed; it is her claw that wasn't removed correctly as a puppy. So as a customer I don't feel that I should have to pay for the vet bill for something she did (accidental I am sure). I asked how she would like to handle it and she lost her mind. She ended up paying the bill but because of how unprofessional she was we will no longer be going here. I did ask if they had insurance and I was told no which I don't understand. My other dog also came home looking like a hot mess because she said she was trying to bite her and she couldn't do any better. read more

We recently moved to the area and my 2 dogs needed grooming badly! I found Fairborn Pet Grooming and decided to give them a try. I have one dog who does not like to get a bath so finding the right groomer is a challenge. The ladies at Fairborn Pet Grooming are amazing! They are so nice and they were very patient with my nervous dog. Yesterday I took them in for a flew treatment (yuck, I know!) and again they were fabulous. When I called they told me to bring the dogs right in and they bathed them as soon as we showed up. They gave them a flea bath, made sure all the fleas were gone, groomed the dogs and trimmed their nails. These ladies are great and I love that it's a local owned business. I've taken my dogs to chain stores before, paid way more, and was told I could bring my dogs in for the first appointment of the day (so my nervous one doesn't have to go in a kennel) for an EXTRA charge. I won't be doing that anymore! They also do boarding, but we have not tried that service yet. read more
