The only downside I've encountered is that the wait can be long- even with a scheduled appointment. Their prices are low and they provide excellent care, which makes them very popular. One time I brought my dog in after he had been attacked by another dog. He had extensive injuries. When they saw he was bleeding, they immediately moved me to the front of the line, gave him emergency surgery and kept him overnight, for a mere $500. The emergency vet would have been thousands more. They're not an emergency vet, but they saved my dog's life and continue to take care of my 16 year old. If you can be flexible regarding wait times, they are top notch.

A lot of the bad reviews seem to be a few years old, and many mention things that were happening during COVID or disagreements over clinic policies. Every veterinary office has different requirements, and sometimes people leave reviews when they're frustrated. That hasn't been our experience at all. My husband and I have brought our little puppy in for her vaccinations and have continued coming back for each round because everyone has been so kind. Every staff member we've interacted with has been welcoming, patient, and genuinely seems to love and care about the animals they see. You can tell they aren't just doing a job. The only thing I can really comment on is that the building itself is a bit older. The outside can look a little intimidating, and the inside is definitely dated. It was also very quiet when I was there, with no other clients in the waiting room, which honestly felt a little unusual at first. But once we met the staff, none of that mattered. If you're judging this clinic based on appearances or older reviews, I'd encourage you to give them a chance. Our experience has been nothing but positive, and we'll definitely continue bringing our puppy here.

I am located out of state and had to do everything remotely. This has never been an issue with any litter of mine. I called and made an appointment last week and the lady who made the appointment KNEW I was a new customer and did not give me any information regarding cost or their policies. Today I had a litter of puppies seen and got the call to pay. This was normal. The lady gave me an update on my puppies and then gave me the total.... $550+!!!! I about passed out. For my puppies to be seen, given wormer, and one vaccine each. Then I asked for a breakdown of costs. She went on to say that there was an office visit PER PUPPY, which I have NEVER been charged. Every other vet has 1 office fee for a litter. Then she went on to tell me that there was a $40 fee for a flight certificate. I asked about this and she said "well, we discounted it, but it's because we had to do extra paperwork" excuse me? I've flown puppies all over the country try and NEVER been charged for a flight certificate when I'm already at the vet's office. She went on to say "well, it was supposed to be more. We gave you a $25 discount" what? Y'all have lost your minds!!!! She then got very snippy with me and would not let me speak to anyone in leadership and demanded I pay the amount or bring back the paperwork. She said the cost reflected what they had to use on the puppy, which was shots and wormer, which was all charged separately, so there's another lie. THEN I find out they came and grabbed each puppy INDIVIDUALLY instead of doing a litter check and did not allow the lady who had them there for me in the room during their exam. They made the lady helping me with this litter WAIT IN THE WAITING ROOM instead of seeing them in an exam room. How am I to even know the exam was completed correctly? I will never do business with this horrible establishment again and I warn you to consider this your warning. They'd probably let your dog die before giving it proper care and then charge you for their inconvenience. Horrible practices and horrible customer service. This place was a one and done for me! Our family has been taking my dog to this practice for years. They are very familiar with my dog…read moreBella. She's been seen by this vet, what seems to be monthly for reoccurring problems. This past year I've expressed my concern for her weight loss, loss of appetite, throwing up a couple time a week, and reoccurring uti infections. I notice a lump on her throat a couple months ago and they tested her. They said the test has come back inconclusive. I feel they showed no concern for the lump and even told me at a following appointment that she looks great, her weight loss was good and they thought her lump had shrunk. My intuition told me something was wrong! A huge lump on the throat and major weight loss are alarming signs. Still concerned, I sought out a second opinion from another vet. This vet was immediately concerned with the lump. Within 24 hours this new vet was able to tell me the horrible truth. My dog has thyroid cancer and it's too late to save her. She only has a few months left to live. Our family is crushed and angry. I feel this practice has scammed my family and didn't care about our pet's health. I feel they only care about money. They wasted my time and money and made my dog suffer. My dog is dying and my family is heartbroken. This practice is very unprofessional and negligent. I feel Dixie Vet saw my pet as their "cash cow" because we have taken her in so much. They put my dog's life at risk and cost our family thousands of dollars in unnecessary treatments. I feel they only cared about making money off of my dog's suffering. My dog has been suffering and my family is heartbroken.

Only to be called an hour later that her appointment would need rescheduled due to their dental drill not working. Their only opening that also worked with MY schedule, was an another three weeks out. So now my dog that suffers from anxiety and was already very anxious about the whole situation, including me, has to wait almost another month. And deal with more pain in the process. I also received minimal to no sympathy from the staff regarding the situation. They basically brushed it off and treated me like it was no big deal that my schedule is now disrupted and I wasted a day off with time I will not receive back from my employer. I also had another very important meeting with an attorney today, that also had to be pushed back as a result of me having to run back and pick her up again. Whole thing was a mess and the lack of concern from the staff is very concerning in of itself. I'll be back cause I don't have a choice to, but I'm estimated to be spending around 1000-1500$ for this whole thing. I also had to starve my dog for 12 hours prepping her for surgery. And for what? The vet to not properly check their tools beforehand? I know stuff happens but you're taking people's hard earned money AND cutting into their busy schedules. Maybe try showing some more respect regarding that. They were also supposed to trim her nails and they didn't even do that. Could've at least done one thing I had planned on getting done. Once her surgery is done, another three weeks from now, I won't be coming back.

Dr. Josh is the only vet I'll take my pup to see. Every time she has an issue, they take her entire well being into consideration. What will be best for her (and my pocketbook) is always suggested, and there are always multiple options. The staff knows her by name when we walk in, and they are such kind folks. We were patients of Dr. Raab and made the switch when he sold the practice. We noticed no change in the level of care we received. TL;DR: I'll recommend Covenant to everyone. They are by far the best vets in the area, and they won't even break the bank.
