The spaghetti was flavorful and cooked perfectly, while the pizza had one of the thinnest, crispiest crusts I've had in Italy--exactly the style I love. The toppings were generous and delicious. Just when we thought the meal was over, they brought us complimentary slices of chocolate cake, which were rich, moist, and the perfect ending. The food, service, and little extra touches made this a memorable experience. If you're in Greve in Chianti and looking for delicious pizza or pasta with friendly hospitality, I highly recommend Ristorante Pizzeria La Cantina. We'll definitely be back!

The risotto was very good, but a little uneventful [4.0 stars, 12 euros]. The Mixed salad [3.5 stars, 9 euros] we ordered was fine, and as always, bottles at the table of olive oil and vinegar to do your own dressing. Great EVOO, but the vinegar was awful...a red wine vinegar vs a balsamic. Overall, great location, food was okay, but attitude/service was poor...wouldn't go again.

We were seated on the upstairs patio. You have a nice, open air, view of the central square. Service was quick and courteous. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced (not a surprise in Italy). We ordered starters, main courses and deserts. All of the dishes were nicely prepared. I particularly enjoyed the lamb for a main course. It was perfect. Although way too full we squeezed in deserts as well. Reservations are recommended.
