Incredibly tasty food and impeccable service. My favorite meal of the trip so far. Get reservations ahead of time and arrive hungry.

Fiorentina Steak: marbling, taste, and presentation is 10/10!

Pros: We sat outside, across from the actual restaurant surrounded by a view of the vast Tuscan countryside, unbelievable scenery. Our server was very kind and accommodating towards us non-Italian speakers. My brother and I had their Fiorentina steak and it is among the top 3 steaks I've EVER had, let the picture attached speak for itself... Aperol Spritz was solid. Not terribly expensive relative to other Fiorentina steaks in Tuscany/Florence. Cons: Wish this restaurant wasn't across the globe from my primary residence in Phoenix, Arizona!

    Crostini with beans -- delicious

This restaurant is the textbook definition of a "hole in the wall" with amazing food. It has a 20-seat capacity, so make sure to reserve in advance. Very intimate and the staff is friendly. The crostini with white beans was a perfect appetizer. Followed by sliced steak with truffle that was one of the best cuts of meat I've had. For desert, I had a tiramisu that was spectacular. Finished it off with some great, local grappa. Bravissimo!

Excellent food, service, and ambiance. Small, intimate, so be sure to make reservations. I had the cheese ravioli with truffles. So good! My husband had the tagliatelle with wild boar, a specialty in this part of Italy. If you've never had it, try it!

Fresh, homemade pasta with fresh truffles.

One of the best meals in Tuscany! This is a small, beautiful and intimate restaurant with 5 plus stars food. The service was amazing. I had a long pasta (can't remember the name) with fresh truffles on top. The pasta was also fresh and homemade so it melted in the mouth... Absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it!

5/5 for food. 5/5 for view. 5/5 for hospitality. My wife and I made the short trip from Florence to Montefioralle, and it exceeded our expectations (both this restaurant and the beautiful little town). This restaurant was definitely a favorite meal during our trip.... we both ordered off the fresh truffle menu; I had the short pasta with ground pork and truffle, and my wife had the ravioli. Both were decadent, and different enough that it was fun to trade bites. We also started with the mixed charcuterie (misto), which was huge and also great. The outdoor seating area is literally right on a cliff, with a peaceful, quiet view of the valley below. It's an excellent respite from the crowds in Florence. The servers were very attentive, despite the outdoor seating area being across the small road from the restaurant.

Amazing food! The service is excellent as well! The place is absolutely breathtaking and the patio area is beautiful. I tried a pasta with truffle and I couldn't ask for a better meal. They also have an excellent wine menu. A must try if you are in the Chianti area!

The most amazing food in the cutest little town. I can't say enough good things about this cozy restaurant. I would come back in a heartbeat.

My husband ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and I had the Diavola pizza with onions, mushrooms, and spicy salami. Both were excellent. The spaghetti was flavorful and cooked perfectly, while the pizza had one of the thinnest, crispiest crusts I've had in Italy--exactly the style I love. The toppings were generous and delicious. Just when we thought the meal was over, they brought us complimentary slices of chocolate cake, which were rich, moist, and the perfect ending. The food, service, and little extra touches made this a memorable experience. If you're in Greve in Chianti and looking for delicious pizza or pasta with friendly hospitality, I highly recommend Ristorante Pizzeria La Cantina. We'll definitely be back!

Sometimes when you're in a touristy area, the Resturant don't really care about the customers--but that is definitely not the case here. The owner is always on the floor, making sure everyone gets personal attention. It's a wonderful family-owned business, and it truly shows because this family genuinely cares. Recommended stop by our Florence Hotel for lunch or dinner. Absolutely cute as pie little village,…read morethe "Terrace" restaurant is surrounded by other eateries, shops, and a fantastic deli, too (which we discovered after we ate). A little attitude with our lunch: ======================= At first, we asked if it was the same place with the food we were seeing being served by the first floor coffeehouse/café...and the server/manager laughed and said, "Ohhhh no...they use microwave", and she proceeded to show us upstairs. Then, we were greeted by a young waiter. He showed us to a table, but since there was only diners at 2 tables and there was room at the edge of the terrace, we asked to be seated there. He scoffed, "Well, that is not the table I chose for you". Then, after we ate our pasta and risotto, we asked "Don't you serve bread at lunch?". He responded, "Well no, you had pastas...so we do not". This was actually funny, but we insisted...and glad we did. It was very good bread, a round focaccia...and warm and fresh. The menu, the order: ================= A very small and limited lunch menu. About 8 things total. The gf got a Tagliatelle with wild boar ragu, and i got a zucchini and onion risotto -- both small portions. The Tagliatelle was fresh with great tomato sauce, but about 6 pieces of very hard and inedible pieces of pork [2.5 stars, 12 euros]. The risotto was very good, but a little uneventful [4.0 stars, 12 euros]. The Mixed salad [3.5 stars, 9 euros] we ordered was fine, and as always, bottles at the table of olive oil and vinegar to do your own dressing. Great EVOO, but the vinegar was awful...a red wine vinegar vs a balsamic. Overall, great location, food was okay, but attitude/service was poor...wouldn't go again.

We were seated on the upstairs patio. You have a nice, open air, view of the central square. Service was quick and courteous. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced (not a surprise in Italy). We ordered starters, main courses and deserts. All of the dishes were nicely prepared. I particularly enjoyed the lamb for a main course. It was perfect. Although way too full we squeezed in deserts as well. Reservations are recommended.

A little off the main piazza, Wine Lovers Academy offers multiple flight options, wine classes, lunch, and most of all, relaxation. Since I was traveling solo this day, I was hesitant to try a wine tasting alone, since I thought it would be boring, but not with Marco around! He made everyone who stopped in feel like they were popping into their house for a glass of wine. Perhaps my favorite part of the experience was how unique my tasting was. He carefully chooses the wines based on your preferences, so you have the chance to try different things that you are more apt to like, unlike most tastings, where everything is pre-set. Marco has also designed this very cool wine game that is great for small to medium sized groups - a twist on the normal tastings in the area. Looks like TONS of fun. Oh.
