Very few use Yelp in Europe, we found. However, if you are planning a trip or are deciding where to eat and you have stumbled upon this review...grab a table and rest assured that you are in for a lovely evening. Try to time the meal so that you have about 30 minutes before the sun even begins to set to get up to Piazza Michelangelo, it's a bit of a hike uphill after a relaxing meal & wine. The meal was exquisite. A variety of menu specials, the Florentine steak for 2, Chianti, dessert. But the garden was what would bring me back again & again. It was one of my favorite restaurants in all of Italy. Service was perfect. The weather was superb, allowing us to linger in the lush garden without being too warm or buggy. Make a reservation here, you will not be disappointed. i can't wait to return !

Half of a tagliata steak, sliced with arugula and parmigiana, simple and delicious!

La Beppa Fioraia is a gem of oltrarno. Tucked away, on a side street near Piazzale Michelangelo, La Beppa Fioraia is truly an an escape from more crowded restaurants in Florence's city center. The restaurant is incredibly large, providing plenty of seating for any group. The decor is trendy and well curated, but maintains Tuscan charm. The highlight is the menu is a variety of generous and delicious taglieri plates. These plates are perfect to share as an antipasto with plentiful options for both vegetarians and omnivores. The menu also includes a variety of creative primi and secondi, including a beautiful and well priced bistecca fiorentina. The menu offers this as well as other classic Tuscan dishes. The wine selection is both superb and affordable. La beppa Fioraia is a memorable, and well-priced restaurant, whose simple, delicious flavors can certainly be remembered for years to come.

Great food and a very family friendly place. We had the mega pizza and shared with 5 people, everyone at well. Service was good, wait staff friendly and spoke broken English we navigated well.

I would give this restaurant 5 stars for ambience and 4 stars for food. The outside backyard area was lovely and we enjoyed our table in the grassy area. Definitely call to make a reservation and sit outside!! We ordered pizzas and they were good, one of the pizza crusts was over cooked and burned a little bit and tasted like a cracker, so that's why I would give it 4 stars for food. I loved this restaurant though, so I would recommend it!

It is a hidden gem. Beautiful gardens, cozy ambiance, delicious food. Away from touristic areas, found it after getting recommendation from two different local friends.

Great food, some of the pizzas took FOREVER to come out though. They were all HUGE! Definitely should have split them. Salads were also big portions but were delicious. Super cool vibe too!

We ordered the 2.6 lb dry aged Florentine steak and gnocchi. The Florentine steak is a must try steak here. It was very juicy, tender, and it was bursting with flavor. The meat was nice and chewy. The steak was gigantic and it is bigger than my head. They first bring out the raw steak and weight it in front of you. The steak is enough to share for three people. The gnocchi was also very delicious. It was cheesy and rich. It was also in a way creamy and the cheese just melted in your mouth. One of the best things I've ever put in my mouth and eaten. The cheesecake is very famous in this restaurant. We tried it and understand why. The cheesecake was super creamy and soft. I had a great time and experience here. Definitely will be back sometime soon hopefully. This is a place I highly recommend to everyone. Come and try it out for yourselves.

He was awesome and had us laughing the entire night. We peppered him with a lot of questions about the menu, he answered everything and also accommodated my father-in-law, who is GF. He had his own GF bread basket and was able to order almost anything on the menu. We ordered a nice bottle of Montepulciano red for the table that was $48. Others had the Hugo spritz. For app I had the anchovies with roasted red pepper, sea salt and oil over grilled crostini, very good. I skipped first course and ordered the ribeye steak for my main course. Bone in, medium rare, sprinkled with sea salt and a side of onion marmalade. The steak was very good and had way less fat than I expected. The waiter suggested a huge steak for the table, but I was the only one ordering steak that night. Maybe next time. Others ordered the fillet and it was cooked perfectly, the angels and demons gnocchi, and the veal scallopini. Everybody was pleased Really cool spot with a very good wine selection, drinks, excellent food and a fun atmosphere that you don't find at many places. Nugo was an A+ server.

Wow, what a special place…read more Set inside a 14th-century tower near the Ponte Vecchio in Florence, this restaurant delivers an unforgettable dining experience from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere alone is worth a visit, but the food is what truly makes it exceptional. We ordered the ravioli, pappardelle with wild boar ragù, the Florentine steak, a mixed salad, affogato, and fresh strawberries with mascarpone cream. To drink, we shared a small carafe of red wine and a Pinot Grigio. Everything was spectacular. The Florentine steak was easily the best--and largest--I have ever had. Perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and remarkably tender, it was the highlight of an already outstanding meal. The pappardelle with boar ragù was rich, hearty, and deeply satisfying, while the ravioli was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Every dish felt authentic, carefully executed, and memorable. The wine was another pleasant surprise. Both selections were excellent and very reasonably priced, making the meal feel like an even better value. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful. He patiently answered questions, explained the menu, and guided us toward some fantastic choices. Although we thought we were too full for dessert, we're very glad we changed our minds. The affogato was fantastic, and the strawberries with mascarpone cream were absolutely delicious. One of the highlights of the evening was watching our four-year-old happily clutching two spoons and enthusiastically scooping fresh strawberries and mascarpone into his mouth. It was one of those memorable family travel moments that you don't forget. A terrific meal, a unique historic setting, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. This was one of our favorite dining experiences in Florence, and I highly recommend it.

We were welcomed warmly by the staff (he literally said "ah yes I remember you" ) and guided to our cozy little table in the corner. Were ordered a bottle of Chianti Classico to start, as well as a few pastas plus the steak and cod. I can safely say the spaghetti pomodoro with burrata was the best pasta dish I've had in Italy - the pasta was perfectly cooked and the cherry tomatoes was so sweet, the kind of thing that reminds you why you came to Italy in the first place. Overall: great service, great atmosphere, and fantastic food. Just be sure to make a reservation!!

The soups were all well prepared and the medley of ingredients were just absolutely enjoyable. It was the first time I tried these traditional Tuscan soups and I'll be looking for more in the future. As for the pork dish (Arista di Maiale), the meat was very tender, savory and so tasty. I chose to get a glass of red wine to enjoy with the meal and I like their model where they bring you a newly opened bottle and only charge you by what you pour. Smart on them since of course I poured myself more than one glass so really it's a win win for both. Reservations are highly recommended and there are no English menus available. Thankfully, one of the staff flagged down another worker who spoke english and was able to walk me through the menu. He was very friendly, helpful and patient. I cannot wait to go back and try the other traditional Florentine dish, the 1kg steak :)

Both the indoor and outdoor tables are lovely (we tried both after our wives were too cold in the wind), and this was the best service we encountered during a week in Florence. Not only were the staff accommodating and brought us everything we needed, but they also steered us toward so many things we weren't going to get, with insistence and good humor. And they were right. The Albanian sommelier and my wine-obsessed buddy fell in love, talked for ages, and we ordered three very nice bottles (classic) as a result (after our spritzes). We had a steak dinner planned for later, but we still ordered the exceptional Florentine beef, just because we couldn't leave without trying it. They blew my mind with the savory mushroom flan, and the fiochetti di pera (perfect purses of pear pasta in a silky cream sauce) were one of the best bites of the trip, and my life. Back in the…read morestates, I always get strange reactions from the waiters when I order my steak "as rare as possible." That is what I was expecting in Italy. Am I the only one that thought steak florentine was supposed to be served this way? Maybe that's was my mistake but I thought that's how it was prepared in Florence. Anyways, I was immediately suspicious when our waitress asked how we would like our steak cooked and her suggestions were medium or medium well. Uhhhh what? That goes against everything I believe in! The steak came out on a hot stone slab on top of a wooden box. The slab obviously continued to cook the steak so I immediately took off a few pieces to prevent this. The steak was thick and tender with chunks of large salt grains. It looked nice all sliced up but that's where the compliments end. It lacked flavor and ended up cooking to be more medium rare when I grabbed my pieces and then even medium by the time my dad grabbed his second slice. Our waitress seemed annoyed when we asked for the truffle sauce to accompany our steak (my dad forgot to ask for it when we placed our original order) and walked away with a huff to go grab it. The fries came out cold and limp with flavorless truffle shavings on top. I'm not sure why this place has such great reviews. Maybe it got too big for its britches and the quality has declined? The one saving grace was the crema bruciata! And the very understanding hostess who gladly pushed our reservation from 7:30 to 8:00pm due to travel difficulties. Whatever the reason, this place definitely missed the mark. You can't walk three steps without seeing a steakhouse here in Florence. My recommendation? Try one of those.
