Today I stopped in to get a watch battery replaced and a simple soldering repair on a broken gold chain. The employee told me that the watch could not be repaired because the back of the watch required a special tool to remove it, and that the gold chain repair estimate was $25 and would take two weeks. The battery would cost $15 for a total of $40.00 I left and drove to LaMonica Jewelers in Bohemia. $10 for the watch battery plus $10 for the chain repair and both are now fixed at half the price I was quoted by Kay Cameron. This is simply awful customer service.

John the jeweler who did the work did a phenomenal job. I couldn't be happier. Not only did it come out great but the cleaning they did to it made it look brand new again. It was literally almost black with tarnish. I will be going back whenever i need it cleaned. I would recommend them to anyone.

I brought my future son-in-law to them with a diamond I gave him that was mine to purchase a setting for an engagement ring for my daughter. We did find exactly what my daughter was looking for, however when they set our diamond into the halo setting, the "jeweler" broke the prongs off of three of the diamond settings on the top of the halo. Instead of fixing it correctly, he glued the small diamonds into place!!!! Well the first time my daughter cleaned her ring, two of the diamonds fell out!! When they took the ring back, another jeweler in the building told my daughter that there was glue residue in the holes where the diamonds were missing and that a third was also glued in place. When they confronted the owner, he was indignant and denied that they would ever have glued the diamonds. He wanted my daughter to leave her ring, which she refused to do! Who would stop them from taking her $6,000 diamond after being so unscrupulous as to deny their own mishandling of her setting in the first place!!! Eventually my daughter heard the owner tell the jeweler that it appeared the prongs were broken and that the small diamonds were indeed glued into place. My daughter had them remove her large diamond for safe keeping while she left the setting to be repaired. Two days later she watched carefully while they replaced her diamond into the repaired setting. NO APOLOGY!! NO ADMITTANCE OF THEIR OBVIOUS SHODDY WORKMANSHIP!!! In fact they were indignant and nasty to my daughter when she told them what they had done. She was going to buy her wedding bands there, but now will not!!! Don't go to this jeweler. They do not care about the quality of their work. It's really very disappointing. I'm only putting one star because they make you choose something!! I would give them a negative star if I could!

This is a very nice store with an eclectic mix of everything old…read more If you are going to shop in the store, just know that the people who work there may follow you around like you are a jewel thief. Maybe I look shady, but it happens to me every time I go there. Also, the prices are all retail so you're not gonna get any bargains, but you will be able to get niche items that you don't really see. So it's like a high-end garage sale with higher prices and staff who think you might be shoplifting.

Elie and her husband Barry are extremely patient and very helpful. I wasn't sure what I wanted and they were very honest about what what would go with my current rings, I originally chose a very expansive ring and decided that I wasn't thrilled with how it looked, then I found a lesser price diamond and they didn't pressure me, they just wanted to make me a happy customer, guess what??
