Vegetarian quick meals in the fridge section

Saw a sign on my way to Costco and had to make a detour to check it out. This Asian grocery store is huge! Very clean and well-stocked. I loved it. Great selection of vegetables and the meat and seafood in the back of the store had fresh selection. They sell whole fish and will also cut /butcher to meet your needs. Much cheaper to get rice flours or other flour mixes to make your staple Asian foods than at American grocery stores or even Amazon. One bag of glutinous rice flour was less than $3 and on Amazon it's $8 (homemade mochi anything!). Spice and sauce selection was on point. They also have a whole aisle of savory/sweet snacks and candies. Had a comparable -if not better-- selection of freezer foods than Cam or Jungle Jim's. Overall great place to get your Asian pantry or novelty grocery needs. I'm glad I stopped by. It's a convenient place as I do my shopping at Costco to get everything done in one trip to Mason. The cashiers were friendly and I loved the clean and fresh feel of the store.

Diverse spectrum of products on shelves. Didn't get to look around too long but glad to know where to find the more niche items.

Happy Promise custard cream cakes from Korea, Hello Kitty mini puddings from Taiwan, garlic (or…read morewasabi, take your pick) crispy peas from the good ol' PROC... Huy Fong Vietnam Chili Garlic sauce in a jar.... Hong Kong moon cakes in mini tins within a beautiful gift tin. Quail eggs, duck eggs (fresh or pickled), bok choy, bean sprouts, exotic greens. Dried noodles, dried peppers, dried shrimp. "Houston Cowboy" brand flavored soda from the Philippines. Spare ribs, pork loin, ground pork, pork hearts, a whole pig's head looking right at me from the butcher section. A wall of frozen foods, didn't study them but I did notice pot stickers (imported from an Asian country, needless to say). English as a second (or third) language on every can, box and bag. Oh.... and Tiger Balm! It's a fully complete small local independent super mart. As a native New Yorker of Italian and Polish descent, I'd call this store THE most authentic, and complete, Asian mart in the area ... perhaps the only one, too? Been here twice, the other shoppers were all Asians, as were the staff. Felt like I was back on Main Street in Flushing for a while. Which is cool. The first time we stopped in, I bought a small jar of that chili garlic sauce, which is made by the same folks who bring you Sriracha rooster sauce. In fact the jar has the same rooster logo. Never saw it anywhere else and wanted to try it. That jar got used up PDQ so we came back today for the large economy size. And of course grabbed some other goodies as well. Gotta love those happy Asian cakes, cookies, and crunchies. Prices were more than reasonable, if you're looking to stock up on any type of Asian goods, I'd say skip Jungle Jim and come here instead. Friendly employees/owners, too, who seemed happily amused by my enthusiasm for Hello Kitty - and my reaction to the pig's head. Ahh, would that we had a similar ITALIAN mart within striking distance! I continue to hope and dream. This place is meant to be Asian, though, and since Asian it is, and a complete market, five stars it is.

I've never been to an Asian market before so I had few expectations. I was really happy with my…read moreexperience. The woman working got fresh bean sprouts from the back for me. She answered my questions and helped me find things. The produce, although a little disorganized, was fresh. Some of the packages simply said "vegetable" and I'm sure regular customers know what they are looking for, but again, I got lots of help. I wasn't impressed with the meat but I did get frozen salmon and halibut. The store is a bit cluttered but I think that it's fine. Don't be bougie about it and you'll be glad you went. I got a ton of fresh food for $42.
