highly suggest listening to the other one star reviews. I had a new patient appointment at 9:20am. I sat in the lobby twiddling my thumbs until 10:00am while other patients were being seen. I turned to the ladies sitting next to me and asked if this is normal. they said no. I went to the front desk and explained i cant just sit here all day. they said the appointment is normally 2 hours long for allergy testing. that wasn't communicated to me at all. threw paperwork, the phone, email or in person. This practice is ridiculous with time management. no one in their right mind is going to spend 40 minutes to an hour just sitting In the lobby and an additional 2 hours being tested. read more

Dr. Scarborough only cares about money not his patients. The next day after my appointment my ear was still bothering me. I called the office to ask if Dr. Scarborough can re-check my ear. He said no. He did what he was supposed to do and if I need to have it rechecked I can make another appointment. The doctor obviously did not do what he was supposed to do my ear was still hurting. The compassion and kindness from this doctor is awful and unprofessional. Stay away from this doctor if you want true medical care. The medical care I received was so bad I am filling a complaint with the medical board. read more

If I could give no stars, I would. The office staff is completely incompetent. They do not return phone calls to patients or the pharmacy in regards to prescriptions. After calling numerous times over a 3 week period, my issue is still not resolved. I will NEVER recommend this office to anyone, ever. Great Doctor, horrible staff. read more

Dr. Kelly was absolutely wonderful! He made my daughter feel comfortable every step of the way. Dr. Kelly was extremely thorough with his exams, as well as with his daily post operative care instructions. His pleasant bedside manner helped make my very nervous teenager at ease from her very first time meeting him, to her last post-surgery follow up appointment he made her feel at ease. Most importantly, the end result of my daughter's surgery far surpassed what we were expecting and we are so thankful she is able to breathe normally again! read more

The absolute worst. This practice "dismissed" me as a patient because they got annoyed that the wrong prescription was sent to my pharmacy and somehow that became my fault. I had no issue with the doctor, who admitted that my interaction with him was "lovely." The only interface I had with the staff was to check in and ask to use the bathroom but there was a man screaming at the front desk when I was there. Then I was told I had no medical issue with my ear, until I called back and a month later I was told that yes, there is a problem. Just awful. read more

Dr. Kelly went above and beyond with my surgery. I put all my trust in him and he was by far the best surgeon for the task. I was comfortable from the second I walked into the door until the day of my post operating procedure. I would never hesitate to recommend Dr. Kelly to anybody in the future. read more

I recently brought my 15 month old to the Riverhead office (as his doctor in the same practice in Patchogue was booked) for a follow up for his cronic ear infections. We saw an audiologist first who the sweetest woman, and then we were taken back to see Dr. Scarborough. His medical assistant was beyond rude and was annoyed that my son was holding my hand walking around the room as I answered all of her questions. The Dr then came in and didn't even say hello. Just sat down. Completely rude and not personable at all! I will never go back to the riverhead location again! read more

Saw Dr. Kelly, went in for a nose job because I hated the way my nose looked. He reassured me and explained the procedure thoroughly. I will definitely be returning for any additional needed work. read more

I called a doctor who was recommended by friends, an allergist and immunologist, for a very bad rash on my legs. She is part of this practice, but was not available, so I was referred to a doctor who was 45 minutes away from me. They said there was no one closer. They had me fill out a great deal of paperwork, including an extensive health questionnaire at the office. When the doctor, Darren Hirsch, saw me, it was clear he had not read the questionnaire I filled out. He barely looked at my leg and decided after five minutes that it wasn't an allergy and he couldn't help me. I was pretty desperate because the itching had become fairly nightmarish by then. I kept asking him what I should do and kept saying it's not an allergy so I can't help you. He recommended some sort of ointment, which was similar to something that I was already using. Aside from that he kept saying it's not an allergy and I can't help you. He recommended I see a dermatologist. The visit lasted five minutes. I have never experienced anything quite like it. A few days later, because the open sore on my lower leg, which had been there when I saw this doctor, was worse and I was getting increasingly concerned, I went to a walk in medical facility in my town. The doctor there said that the sore on my leg was badly infected, and that I had apparently had an allergic reaction to an attack of sand flies. She prescribed a one week course of antibiotics and an anti-bacterial ointment, which finally cleared it up. Perhaps I should have written this review then, but I don't like doing this sort of thing, so I let it go. Recently, however, I received a bill for $254.00 from the service Dr. Hirsch works with, ENT and Allergy Associates. With an estimated adjustment for what they expect my insurer to pay, $33.81, They wanted me to pay $220.19 for this five minute visit in which the doctor refused to treat me. When I complained to the billing département, they referred me to the supervisor of their Riverhead facility whose first name is Caroline. She, quite antagonistically, read me the report that the doctor had written after the visit, basically a reiteration of what I had told him. It must have taken him much longer to write that report than to talk to me (he did not examine me except to glance at my leg, which was covered in the rash). When she threatened to hang up on me, I hung up on her first. Now I have contacted her supervisor and am threatening legal action. I don't know how this part of the saga will come out, but this doctor should not be practicing. Do not go to him or use this service. read more
