During my visits, I felt there was more focus on discussing hearing aids than on identifying and addressing the underlying cause of my symptoms. I called ENT Associates after spending three days at Harborview Hospital on an Emergency referral and transport by ambulance with a stone in my left mandibular lymph node that had become infected. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was told that this practice wasn't taking any new patients (even on an emergency basis) until January.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I asked for the office manager or the receptionist's boss and she proceeded to terminate the phone call.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I used no profanity or strong language other than to demand her supervisor and ask her why she would turn away a surgical opportunity worth potentially thousands of dollars. Got my tonsils taken out by Dr.Kim because of my recurrent tonsil infections and tonsil stones. It was such an easy post op process! Ice cream all day lol! I haven't been sick in months now without my tonsils dragging me down! I have to say all the doctors are incredibly empathetic! The medical assistants are all kind and attentive. The office is clean and new. The only thing is that the wait can be long, which is to be expected when your doctors are running away to go save lives at the hospital. My husband saw the audiologist for a hearing test. He had high frequency hearing loss and she suggested he could apply for LNI since it was less than 5 years since he retired. He saw Dr Jung and we made a follow up appointment for a free hour long hearing aid education and also another hearing test. LNI wanted them to send them the record of our visit. The medical records person immediately canceled his followup appointment he had waited for because " The doctor doesn't do LNI claims"! I don't even think it's legal for a doctor to drop a patient with no warning and at least it's totally unethical. read more

After giving her my name she put me on hold for a long time. When she returned she told me they were booked for 1 YEAR. I couldn't make an appointment or be put on a cancellation list[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I didn't believe her but couldn't prove it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My guess is that my cancellation was put on my "record" with some sort of note. I asked about a wait list in case of other patients cancelling and they said they do not have a system in place to call when they have a cancellation, which I found unusual. Fast forward to today, 3 weeks before my appointment. I called to reschedule and they said they have no appointments until 2025!! So here we go again, out 5 months again!! So I cancelled the appointment. There is another ENT (not affiliated with Providence) on the west side that is only out 2-3 weeks for appointments. I will be calling them shortly. I'd give ENT Assoc. I arrived at my appointment on time. You have to check in from your car and I did. They had me on hold for so long before they answered that my appointment time had passed by five minutes. They told me to reschedule. I had driven an hour to be here and they turned me away. On top of that, when I told them I refuse to reschedule; that they need to see me today as scheduled, they put the phone down and without saying a word and left me on the phone for 20 minutes before hanging up on me. However, they asked us to pay almost $100 more than what we actually owed. They have yet to refund us, as my husband's surgery was 3 months ago. I've called multiple times. Dr. Gilmer is awesome. She helped resolve an issue other doctors were unable to identify. She is warm, friendly, and informative. With that being said, the front office staff and check in/wait time is unacceptable. I was told to arrive 30 minutes prior to my check in. I was then advised I also needed to fill out paperwork online prior to my arrival. Once I completed the online paperwork, I called the front office to ask if I really needed to arrive 30 minutes early as I have a job which is difficult to take time off of. I was assured I did need to arrive 30 minutes early to have a visit with the check in nurse. I arrived 30 minutes early and sat and waited......and waited......and waited...and waited for the check in nurse. Eventually I was called over and asked to confirm information I had already put in my online documents. I was then told to go back and wait for the doctor. I CAME IN 30 MINUTES EARLY FOR THAT? PLEASE RESPECT OUR TIME AS WE RESPECT YOURS! This system is seriously flawed. I then waited 15 minutes past my appointment time. So, basically it took 45 minutes to see the doctor. This was very frustrating to me. My daughter did love playing in the child friendly waiting room area though. When I received my bill, I called to pay it and got the worst runaround, pushing prompts,etc. Ultimately I gave up and paid my bill online. Maybe that is what they are trying to push people to do ....however; I think it is very unprofessional to make it difficult for people TRYING TO PAY their bill over the phone. Dr. Gilmer is amazing and a great choice for ent issues but I feel that the check in time is seriously unreasonable. Not everyone has all day to sit around and wait for dr's appts. read more

I was treated like I was an idiot. I arrived at the time shown on my message and was told that actually had been booked for two appointments. Great Experience. I had been having a problem with my ear and pain going down my throat. I saw Dr. Sautter today and he was simply wonderful. So kind and caring. After asking many questions and a thorough exam he was able to diagnose what the problem was and to prescribe something to help with the pain I had been experiencing. He also did a test in the office and explained everything he was going to do. He was very compassionate and caring. The entire office staff was just as nice as they could be. Waited over 2 months for my appointment for them to call me a few days before my appointment that there isn't a referral or authorization from my insurance. When they initially called to schedule the appointment they told me everything was in order. Why wait over 2 months to let me know that you don't have the authorization? Good doctor and clinic but I have an issue with them refusing to bill Tricare as a secondary insurance. It isn't that they can't. They just don't want to and push it onto the service member or Vet to file a claim. To me, they are dishonoring those who are serving or have served in the military. I was referred here due to a chronic sinus congestion problem I've been dealing with for years, so I didn't know what I was getting into. I've been here for two visits with Dr. Jung and I couldn't have been more impressed! Reception was incredibly polite and helpful and Dr. Jung was incredibly understanding. He picked up on an anxiety problem I've been struggling with and was incredibly supportive. He also noticed several of my symptoms on sight which made the appointment go much quicker and efficiently than I'm used to. He was also able to notice an elusive paradoxial vocal chord disorder that nobody else had caught. Couldn't recommend highly enough! Today I went in for an allergy exam performed by Nick and I was equally impressed. He was incredibly informative and made me feel comfortable during the exam. Since it takes about 2 hours he happily filled the time with helpful facts and opinions relating to his own experiences with allergy, sleep apnea, and pets that I am able to apply towards my newfound allergies. He also pointed me in several directions as far as medical gear so that I could be as efficient with my money as possible. Easy 5 stars for me! read more

The front desk was great from scheduling the appointment and check in. They were thorough on how to tell me what to expect at my appointment. I had an appointment for sleep apnea and saw Dr. Jung. He was very attentive and it felt like I had been his patient for years. All my questions were answered prior to surgery which made me feel comfortable. As most of these posts state, the scheduling and referral staff are rude. My doctor referred me for throat and ear pain and it took about a week before I got a call. First they called and left a message on my land line. I called back and got a message to leave a number and the referral staff would get back to me and it could take "several days". I left the message, then they called me again and I missed the call. Called back and got voicemail. They tried to call me again about 530 and I missed the call by five minutes. Tried to call back; got voice mail. When I mentioned how hard it was to get through finally, the referral person got very defensive. I told her about the times I called and she kept interrupting me and got snooty. I'm cancelling my appointment as I have no desire to deal with these people. I'm disappointed because the reviews on the doctors have been glowing; but it's the admins who make or break your experience: scheduling, billing, etc. If this toxic woman has status in this office, I can only assume it's a toxic environment. While it took some time to complete all the procedures, a little over 7 days, once the appointment was made things changed drastically. The office is very efficient and thorough. I saw Dr. Sautter who was VERY helpful and caring. He listened to all of the information I had for him and answered all the questions. It's disconcerting when you schedule ongoing follow-ups and the ENT can't isolate your problem nor propose an effective My experience is that Dr. Sautter doesn't appear to check your treatment history when conducting a follow-up; during one visit he suggested an MRI and I had to remind him I had one three weeks prior and the follow-up treatment two weeks prior was based on that. At yet another follow-up, he started out the consultation discussing a procedure he apparently thought he had performed, but hadn't. I've since requested a transfer to another ENT in the office and am really pleased with the initial visit. read more

I even thought of cancelling my appt. and go someplace else, especially when I was warned to stay away from Dr. Sautter, but no...I'm not a sheep! I dared to go in! I'm so glad I did. I did see Dr. Sautter and he was great. Personable, yet professional. He explained everything to me (I lost my 'smeller' and my 'taster' a few months ago after a cold), answered my questions and I'm on my way to recovery. It's going to take some work (easily done and quite pleasant) on my part but so far so good. I'm happy with the help I've received and happily go back in two weeks to see how I'm doing. You have to keep on top of the office staff but they too are happy to oblige. It's really like any health care you use, you can't be passive. You have to be an active advocate for yourself. Thank you Melissa and Dr. Sautter. I'll be back for sure. I ask that everyone reading these reviews make up their own mind and go in with their own mind open to receive the good care available to them there. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have been here twice. The first time, they did a hearing test on a mostly deaf 1.5 year old and said that he wasn't deaf, he was just stubborn, even though he had the same results on his 4 month old test. The exact words used were we'll just have to wait until he talks. I met a woman with a severely handicapped child that they had left in the waiting room for nearly 2 hours and were telling her it would be another hour still. I'm now stuck coming here a second time. I was given a severe attitude by both women at the front desk, one who had a problem with me asking why I had not been told that the doctor was running an hour behind until after we'd gotten here. They just did the hearing test so fast that the baby didn't even have a chance to turn his head before they moved on to the next sound. Bringing your child to a hobo on a street corner would be just as effective. read more
