Carlos is amazing. I've had a lot of relief from Rolfing so was looking for that kind of relief from chronic body issues plus lots of tension. He doesn't do Rolfing, he does structural integration, but the result was the same for me which is AMAZING. I don't know much about energy healing, etc., but I don't just feel physically better after our sessions, I feel overall relief that I don't just get from regular massage. I have scoliosis and chronic problems with that, and I carry all my tension in my shoulders and get horrible headaches. Massage makes me feel better for about an hour. I've seen many different healers, and Carlos is without a doubt, hands down, the most effective for my muscular issues (neck, back, shoulders, arms). He's a very caring and giving person, on top of being talented. I work 10 hour days, 5-6 days a week, at a computer (full time attorney), and so I've developed some serious issues from sitting all day with the added stress of being a litigator. I was in a bad car accident in December. Since then I've dealing with extremely painful upper back pain and numbness in my finger tips as well as horrible shooting pain down my arm. I went to multiple western doctors for x rays and such. Total waste of time. They all told me to take ibuprofen and that eventually I'd be fine. As a dancer, yogi, athlete and someone who stands for several hours a day, body work is something I require to stay in balance and to stay physically healthy. This man is GIFTED -- I'm definitely going to see him again. I called Carlos on a Friday night after a friend had recommended him highly. My fiance and I were both super stressed with work and out-of-whack from bending over computers all day. Carlos agreed to see us both for 90 minute appointments the following day. We were 25 minutes late due to my inability to record addresses correctly, followed by phone battery death...which was sort of a metaphor for the shape I was in when we arrived. Where should I start? There's so many things Carlos has helped me with, I will be forever grateful! A friend of mine introduced me to Carlos, I received my first massage everrr by him. This was back in 2011 I believe, I received a deep tissue massage with some energy work. I remember that during the session I felt like I was being reborn, I even had a vision of me being reborn. That night I remember feeling at peace my body felt lighter it was mind blowing! I continued to come to Carlos for massage and energy work, he helped me get rid of old resentment I was carrying, helped me over come fear and helped me heal from the verbal abuse my family put me through growing up. He has a way with words that helped me calm down and believe that everything was going to be ok. To be honest he inspired me to become a massage therapist, it was because of him and his work that made me want to help people through massage and energy work. So I decided to go to massage school, during school I would go to Carlos as an intern. My school required me to get an internship, so I instantly thought of learning from Carlos. Another time he left me speechless was when my husband and I went on his human light ship, it was a magical experience both my husband and I were visited by our spirit animal during the session and after the session we felt amazing, it's hard to describe but we both felt like in a meditative state, we felt this deep feeling of peacefulness, full of love and light. Carlos is amazing. I went to him after a month of hard startup work. My shoulders had been super hunched at my computer non-stop, I'd basically given up exercise and was under a great deal of stress. Carlos is the best! He's amazing at reading the body and identifying the areas that really need the work. I always feel incredible after seeing him and the feeling remains with me for several days. I've never been to the same therapist more than twice because even though they may do good work, it has never really hit the spot until now. Carlos is a healer of healers. I know of nobody else doing the work that he's doing - deep tissue massage therapy with shamanic practices, energy work, and sound healing. I've had a chronic pain condition for a while and seen many practitioners to help me with it. I feel Carlos working on my body on super deep energetic levels... I feel him exorcising entities from my body when he works on me!! The super deep tissue work feels like it reconnects my energy to places in my body that I have abandoned energetically. It's not always easy... when I let Carlos do his deep work, it definitely feels like I'm *working* along with him on the table... breathing my vitality back into my body as he helps me release tension and blockages... and I always feel so profoundly better after those sessions. Be prepared, it can be intense if you can take it! And, he's always really open to feedback, so sometimes when I'm feeling tender, I'll ask for a more gentle massage and he gives a great healing relaxing massage, too. I say healer of healers because he holds such beautiful and deep space for healing. As a healer myself, used to holding powerful space for others, and because I can dive so super deep myself, it's rare for me to find a practitioner I can trust to hold such deep space for me and such a high vibration. I am one to never write reviews, good or bad - but I will vouch for Carlos anyday.. I just finished my fifth session with Carlos and am lucky to have found him. I have suffered from lower back pain on and off for about eight years, and it was only until about 3 years ago that I learned the pinch in my lower back was a result of tightness in my legs/glutes. For those of you who know the pain associated with sciatica - it's no joke. Sitting for long periods of time aka "a desk job" turns out to be the culprit, and when your sciatic nerve is pinched - sitting is the last thing you want or can do. I had previously found a massage therapist in the south bay (who has since retired), that was able to cure my unbearable back pain and informed me to just get a lacrosse ball and basically sit over it and roll it around my glutes and hamstring to prevent and treat future incidents. This little lacrosse ball traveled with me wherever I went, and whenever I felt tightness, it would do the trick......until 6 weeks ago. I was getting ready to head to work..bent over to tie my shoe and as I came out from the hunched over position - BAM..a sharp shooting pain that was all too familiar. I thought nothing of it and went off to work, knowing that I could give myself a massage later that day with my trusty lacrosse ball. Oh was I so wrong...I spent the next 3 weeks in agony. I had an idea of what was wrong, and I tried to cure myself. I purchased a foam roller, a massage stick, a supernova ball, and this other contraption which i cant even describe - it was like Sports Authority knew I was coming and had the tools lined up for me. I would stretch and massage throughout the day and feel 60-70% normal by night, only to tighten up while sleeping (if you can call it sleep when every movement wakes you from the sudden sharp pain) and wake up at 20% the next day and have to do it all over again. I tried a regular masseusse and told them where to concentrate - but no help. After two weeks of agony, I cried uncle and thought the issue was something major and I went off to see a chiropractor. The chiro was one of the worst experiences I have had at a "doctors" office. I was told my hip was completely misaligned and one of my legs was shorter than the other due to this and it was going to take some major rehabilitation to correct the issue - scare tactics....In the end I left with the same pain I had arrived with. At this point, my mother had visited a 'rolfing' masseuse and told me to look for one. I found Carlos on yelp and my body was hooked from the first visit. Releasing all the tension and tightness throughout my body gave me a euphoric tingling sensation. Carlos informed me it was blood flow - I call it the magic touch. I felt relief after the first visit and scheduled my 2nd a few days later, and have been seeing him once a week since. All the major issues have been worked on and I will continue to see him regularly to prevent future issues. If you suffer from any type of back pain, do not wait another second and just give Carlos a call - you won't regret it. read more

Another successful visit with Carlos! I had sprained my foot very badly over 4th of july weekend and went to see him a week after. My foot was still swelling and difficult to walk on with out the assistance of a cane, putting it down on the ground was also painful with every step. I took some ibuprofen which helped only slightly... I had seen a couple of other therapists before Carlos and was still unable to walk on it properly. For 90 minutes Carlos worked on both my feet, legs and also balanced my hips from having to compensate weight for my foot. Afterwards my foot was still sore but I did no longer not needed the assistance of my cane by the next day.
