He rudely denied the time I called and then dismissed any further discussion on the issue. I think Victor was rude and immature on how he chose not to apologize or even discuss my concern. I did not have any issues with Paul who I spoke to a few times. If you don't mind waiting an unreasonable time (not uncommon according to the repair shop) and dealing with a snooty young adult, then this is the place for you. Otherwise, use any other company.

The first car had to get sent back immediately because the window would not roll down. Caught it before leaving, thank God, because nothing ruins a trip faster than discovering a problem after you have already hit the road. I turned right around, swapped into another car, checked everything, and that one was good to go. Not ideal. But at least the fix was easy and nobody made it weird. Return was the best part. Super easy. No drama. No mystery charges. No long goodbye. Just in, out, done. Not for a lack of effort, I called Alamo to ask why I couldn't update their system with my driver's license before the trip, was told there was no problem and that it would be done at the counter. Such sloppy business practices. I have rented through them multiple times but already told the wife to slide them to the bottom, even if they have better prices. They need to do better!!

I mean that. Her customer service was immaculate. She was the main woman at that counter. Running the whole show. And somehow every single person who walked up felt like the only person there. She was fully listening. Actively hearing. Not just nodding actually taking it in and responding to YOU, not just the transaction. That kind of presence is rare. Lucy has it naturally. I figured, it's much bigger, so the lines will be crazier. However, there was only one person ahead of me once I arrived at Hertz (after the walk to the train to baggage claim and another train to the rental car area). I forget the name of the man who helped me but he was very nice and very helpful. You kind of do everything on the app as you get walked through it, and it couldn't have been easier or quicker. The Hertz website prices are jacked up, so we wound up booking through AutoEurope. Paid $554 for 6 nights of a rental that started in Atlanta and ended in New Orleans. Other places wanted at minimum $720, so this was a steal. Signed up for "Ford Escape or similar" and wound up getting a really nice 2024 Mazda CX-30 (with 30,000 miles on it) with comfortable seats and a big trunk for suitcases. Couldn't have been happier with Hertz at Hartsfield.

She then played on her computer and then kept answering personal calls and texting on her personal cell. SURREAL. Where is the manager? It took 45 MORE minutes to finally be given the right car. Drove to the area where they check you and the car out of the facility. Usually the employees are on their cell phones on personal calls, so it takes a long time to get through the lines. YESTERDAY took the cake, however. The light in one lane was green indicating there was an employee, but no one appeared to be in the booth. We slowly drove in as this was our only choice. The fool was HIDING on the floor on his cell phone. He got mad that we "bothered him"! Now they are PAID to HIDE from customers? He told us off good, he was mad as hell at us and LET US KNOW. If Hertz doesn't give a damn, we need to find a new rental car company. Hertz Atlanta Airport doesn't WANT anyone's business, obviously! WHO IS IN CHARGE of this place? Crazy!
