Best community course around. Well taken care of, and always a pleasure to play 9 or 18.

Well maintained, nice layout. Three stars only because the pace of play is slow. Reasonably priced for weekend play.

I was here with a couple of my friends who invited me to play this course as they play this…read moreregularly and they find it a nice course. This course is nice. They have some construction going on currently. A couple of holes are shortened due to the construction. Fairways are well maintained and greens were rolling well too. I had a great front nine, but plateaued in the back nine. It's not too difficult of a course as they don't have many penalties. Even if you don't drive straight, you could be in play to make a par.

Overall, I think I got what I paid for considering the lower rate. The course wasn't too crowded so I was able to check in at the pro shop within plenty of time for my round. The gentleman at the desk was really friendly and made some great conversations and made the both of us feel welcomed. We took some practice putts on the medium sized putting green for about 15 minutes then loosened up at the driving range. Personally, I wouldn't want to practice at this range for my day to day iron work - the mats were in pretty rough shape and the range didn't look extremely well maintained. The course itself was just okay - again, getting what I paid for. It wasn't an overly difficult course but there were definitely some holes that my partner and I struggled with. The greens seemed consistently maintained and the fairways were nice (not that my ball ended up there often). We did notice that the cart paths needed alot of work - lots of instances of broken pavement or rubble in the cart paths. We have to offroad several times just to drive on more even grounding. The snack shop/cafe was closed for the day it seems and there were very limited snack/drink options in the pro shop. We were hoping for a snack throughout the round but to our disappointment, there was also no cart vendor to sell us something quick. All in all, a fine afternoon playing a round - I would come back but only for the twilight special. I wouldn't want to pay for that $45 or so for the quality of course and amenities. A solid course for beginners to intermediate players.

Unfortunately, what should have been a wonderful family memory was completely ruined by the behavior of one of their course marshals, older black gentlemen, he said his name was Mr. Smith. When we arrived, we were upfront and told Mr. Smith that we had only played on a golf course a few times. Instead of using that information to be helpful or patient, he used it as a reason to single us out and hover over our group for the entire round. We understood the pace of play expectations and made every effort to keep up, but the constant monitoring felt more like harassment than course management. When I accidentally drove onto the green, instead of calmly explaining the mistake, Mr. Smith became hostile and condescending. He spoke down to me and my son, refused to let me speak, and physically snatched the key out of our cart. There was no professionalism, no patience, and no basic human respect. We were paying customers on a family outing, not children being disciplined. We did not finish our round. We gathered our belongings and left. We drove up the road to the University of Maryland Golf Course, where we were greeted warmly and treated with complete professionalism by Director Jeff Maynor. That experience reminded us what a welcoming golf environment actually looks like, and it is a standard Paint Branch clearly needs to work toward. I am a federal employee at NASA Headquarters, and many of my colleagues frequent this course. I will be sharing this experience with them. I will also be reporting this matter to the Prince George's County Department of Parks and Recreation. Golf should be accessible and enjoyable for everyone, including families and newer players. The way we were treated does not reflect that value at all.

Improvement opportunities abound. Unfortunately, the overall experience has been disappointing. I…read morecome often since no tee time reservations are required and each time question my decision at arrival. Course maintenance is poor: tee boxes in bad shape, uneven fairways, rocky ground, and no aeration. The staff's service is lacking overall save for 1-2 people. Most staff seem indifferent - especially the very young one. The carts are filthy. I don't believe they are ever cleaned. Pace of play is abysmal. No marshals, groups skip ahead, and I've seen six people waiting at a tee box. I do like the layout and blind shots, which make it a challenging course at times. I also like that no reservation required. But with these issues, I probably won't return.

What a laid back, fun, casual course…read more The good: - The facility has nearly everything a golfer needs for a fun round. There is a small putting green for warmups before the round and a simple pro shop with great drinks and food deals. - The price for a round is very reasonable - they even give you a discount if you sign up for a round with another person (so bring a friend to save a few bucks) - The course itself is in solid shape; some holes need work but most are just fine to play on. It's a short course (in terms of yardage) but some greens and approach shots are very challenging. The great: - The staff is really wonderful; I felt right at home the moment I arrived. We were greeted warmly, the staff chatted with us as we waited to tee off. The starter was warm and friendly - we all started our round with a smile. - They have a free pitch and chip 9 hole course; this was a great option to use for a warmup as we waited for our round. Each pitching hole is about 30-40 yards and a great opportunity to practice short game shots. First pitch and chip course that I've seen in this area. - Overall atmosphere and other golfers were great; I met some other friendly golfers here. You can tell folks are there to have a good time, be social, and play some golf. This was a really fun and relaxing round partially because we encountered so many other down to earth and fun people. Needs work: - On the day we arrived, our tee time opportunity was delayed by about two hours. There was a tournament happening early in the morning that wasn't broadcasted or shared online. There were alot of hopeful players who ended up having to wait 2-3 hours before getting on the course. It would have been nice to know there was a tournament scheduled for the day and the first available tee-off time was XYZ. - The pace of play is SLOW - my round lasted nearly 6 hours. The skill level of a few groups ahead of us wasn't great (which is fine, we're all learning) - I would have expected a course marshal to step in and help quicken the pace. Waiting 10 minutes to tee off then another 5 mins for a green to clear makes for a LONG round (and kills your rhythm). All in all, a fun day. I would definitely return because of the good atmosphere created by golfers and staff. I'll definitely go on a fully clear schedule day in case play is super slow again.

The Par 4 pretty much has a canyon right in the middle where you have to hit it right in the middle. The par 3 is pretty much a blind green with so much shrubs and small trees that it looks like you're forced to hit it into the bushes. Then one 175 yard cart ride later, you see yourself with a large green. Very odd course, but I do like playing it. The greens fees used to be in the $100 range, but I think they realized that it was too high and lowered the price to about $50. All in all, it's challenging, but not too much where you just want to wrap your golf club around a tree, but challenging enough that it's a good change from the regular municipal courses.

I played this course last Saturday, paid $30 which included a cart, at the time of the purchase I felt like it was a good deal. After playing a few holes I realized I paid too much. But nothing is as hilarious as #14. Apparently the hole has been modified and shut down for quite some time. What was once a nice looking par 4 or 5, is now a 20 yd modified par 3 where you tee off on a mat. What a joke! In conclusion I will never come back to this course, much better options around.

Our company completed the work as agreed and invoiced the business, but the invoice was never paid. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly, we ultimately had to take additional measures to collect payment. For small services businesses, situations like this are extremely damaging. Contractors invest time, labor, equipment and materials with the expectations that the businesses will operate respectfully and honor their agreements. In April 2019, it was with a couple of friends, and I was relatively impressed with the course. While it's a fairly simple looking mini golf course, there are some challenges. The course is nicely maintained and better than a couple of other area courses I've been to. It's above average for the area, but not the best I've been to around here. I do consider myself lucky to have only 2.5 miles from home since 2020. In April 2023, there was a Meetup group meeting here. However, there was a transformer power outage in the area, and they had to close the course before we started. He rescheduled the Meetup for another Monday 5 weeks later in May 2023. The Meetup organizer is great at mini golf, but he was having an off day explaining all the various challenges this course has, and he says it always throws him off some. I enjoyed hearing his stories, but for me, I enjoyed the course and its challenges (well until I saw my high score...haha). Overall, this is a nice course and will return in the future.
