Our company recently completed a holiday lighting display for Laurel Golf Center and unfortunately our experience with the owner was absolutely terrible. Our company completed the work as agreed and invoiced the business, but the invoice was never paid. After multiple attempts to resolve the issue directly, we ultimately had to take additional measures to collect payment. For small services businesses, situations like this are extremely damaging. Contractors invest time, labor, equipment and materials with the expectations that the businesses will operate respectfully and honor their agreements. Laurel Golf Center is not one of those businesses. We strongly encourage other vendors and contractors to steer clear of doing business with Laurel Golf Center. read more

Representing 2023 in alphabet series, L is for Laurel Golf Center. I visited here 2 times I think, April 2019 & May 2023. In April 2019, it was with a couple of friends, and I was relatively impressed with the course. While it's a fairly simple looking mini golf course, there are some challenges. The course is nicely maintained and better than a couple of other area courses I've been to. It's above average for the area, but not the best I've been to around here. I do consider myself lucky to have only 2.5 miles from home since 2020. In April 2023, there was a Meetup group meeting here. However, there was a transformer power outage in the area, and they had to close the course before we started. He rescheduled the Meetup for another Monday 5 weeks later in May 2023. The Meetup organizer is great at mini golf, but he was having an off day explaining all the various challenges this course has, and he says it always throws him off some. I enjoyed hearing his stories, but for me, I enjoyed the course and its challenges (well until I saw my high score...haha). Overall, this is a nice course and will return in the future. read more

Pro: moderate parking lot , golf tracker, new mini golf course. Con: none. It been a while since I last came here and a lot has changed since then. Back in 2022 we came here to do some batting cage and some golf range. Fast forward to 2024 and some renovation has been done. The mini golf area is now fresh and new, the golf range now has tracer technology. I came here to do some mini golfing with my friend. Price per person is around 9 dollar which is reasonable. The parking lot is moderate size so no issue there. All in all, a pretty fun place to come and play. read more

Had an impromptu day date here since it was a beautiful Sunday. Wanted to do something local without going to DC or Baltimore. I have driven pass this place for the last 10+ years and finally decided to check it out. Laurel Mini golf is hidden behind the baseball field so you wouldn't see it from the main road. The course is bright blue & green, pun intended lol. It can use some updating by repainting the blue water trails, cleaning out all the debris in the water and replacing the wooden stands & benches. I was afraid to sit or write on anything with the fear or getting splinters. (Only reason why I had to deduct a star) But other then that, staff was friendly and we had a great time and will return. I've been going to LGC for over a year now since I picked up golfing, and this is one of my favorite ranges to go to! Kim the owner works very hard to keep everything running, and can always been seen walking around. I know the last reviewer complained about the mini golf, but it was actually JUST redone in the last month and looks so much better. This review is for the mini golf course. As some others have mentioned, there isn't much in terms of diversity of decor, and the course as a whole is a little run down. Some pros - there are flags at each hole which I like, and also appreciate that you can just pick up the flag and the bottom part lifts your ball back up to your hand without really having to bend down. Some of the bends in the course are interesting and make the game a little more complex. Unfortunately, there are a good chunk of holes where the ball will just swivel right around the hole bc of a hard to see bend right next to it. Maybe it's good if you want a challenge? A one time play was fine, but it was not good enough to make me want to come back. read more

We had a great day at Laurel Golf Center! From the moment we walked into the little golf shop, the staff was very friendly and the woman at the counter was super helpful. We played mini golf and hit some balls at driving range (they had clubs for rent), and we enjoyed our time here. This is definitely a hidden gem, and it's one of the nicest driving ranges in the DC area. The mini golf looked like it had just been painted because it was sparkling clean and all the trees were blooming. Batting cages were crowded, and people were having fun so we will check it out next time. This place definitely passed the vibe check, so I'm giving it 5 stars. We'll be back! read more

I went mini golfing here and I had a nice time. The place was pretty clean and the holes were a mix of easy and hard. It took us about 40 minutes to do all the holes. I think we missed one but couldn't figure out where it was. It had people but it wasn't crowded. I enjoyed my time there. read more

My first time here and it was very enjoyable. Driving range was in great shape, easy to get tokens and find a place to hit. There were tons of workers taking care of the facility. It's great for beginner and intermediate golfers to practice in a relaxed environment. New range balls and plenty of targets to hit at. Prices are fair and they had some special deals. This is a review only based on my mini golf experience here. This is a basic 18 hole mini golf park. It is kept clean and the staff is friendly, but nothing else was impressive. The price is $7/person which is average in the area. They have ice cream bars which most are $4/bar which is overpriced. The mini golf park itself is not appealing. It's very plain, no decor or theme, and only has a few water ponds/waterfalls which need a lot of work. If I was a kid, I don't think I'd have much fun or be very interested. Some holes are easy to get the ball into, but others need some maintenance on the hole itself to get the ball into more easily. The green on some holes also needs maintenance as few were lumpy. I probably wouldn't come here again. I didn't have much fun other than trying to win against my boyfriend. read more

Decided to entertain my friend and my two children here while visiting from NY. Groupon had an amazing deal for 4 which included the mini Golf, Batting Cage and Driving range for each person. When we arrived, the wait wasn't long to redeem the Groupon and get started. There wasn't a lot of people. The premises is maintained good. Some maintenance with the mini Golf area can be done when it comes to the weeds and filling up the water in the river. (Otherwise, it's clean) The owner/person by the front desk is extremely pleasant and helpful. We started with the batting cages. There are several batting cages where there you can choose your speed. You get 20 balls per person. This was a bit difficult considering I'm not a professional and not something I do often but I managed to hit 4/5 balls. We went on the driving range to practice our Tiger Woods. The owner gave us helpful tips with stance and swinging the club to get the balls at a good distance. Each ticket fills your bucket with 50 balls. By the time we got to mini golf area, more people was coming in especially by the mini golf. I guess pretty popular. It's a 18 hole course. We had a great time. Without the Groupon the prices for each section is very reasonable for an enjoyment time. They even had a baseball feel which was well maintained. Great place to do some batting - there is also golfing, but I didn't partake in that activity this time. I came here with two other friends. The process was pretty simple and cheap. They have different cages for baseball and softball - so you can definitely bring your children or all around novice hitters (much like me and my friends!). The staff was friendly, and they provided us with helmets and the baseball bat. I wish they had cleaned the helmets (I had to ask for a Lysol wipe.), and gave some tips for hitting for newbies. If you're looking for a quick weekend activity and want to burn some easy, this could be right up your alley. read more

Pretty good place to work on parts of your game. The range is long enough to let the big dog bark, and has plenty of distance markers to dial in your irons. It's also flat (unlike some) so that you get an accurate result for the short wedge shots. Prices are reasonable, including senior discounts weekdays and an all-you-can-hit option for the fanatic. Rental balls are in good condition. They also do club repairs, fitting, and sales. The stations are mostly covered, and heated when necessary. They also have batting cages and a softball field. Downsides? No bunker, chipping or putting area, though there is a miniature course I have not tried. read more

This is a hidden if slightly worn gem in the Laurel area. They have a small but nice driving range, miniature golf and batting cage set up. It's tucked back from route 198 so blink and you will miss it but when you need to whack a bucket of balls it is convenient. read more

My pre-teen daughter and I played 18 holes at the miniature golf course in about 45 minutes. The course is fairly basic (predominantly par 2s and 3s) and some of the holes are in need of repair. There was only one other group on the course while we were there (mid-afternoon on a Monday). There were also a few guys hitting balls and the driving range and one person using the batting cages. The manager was very friendly and helpful. Masks were required in the clubhouse, but not on the course. read more

Such a hidden treasure! My bf and I visited the Laurel Golf Center about a week ago to play mini golf and it was so fun! Really reminded me of vacations in OCMD with all the put puts around. The reason I gave a 4 star and not a 5 was because of the course. One of the holes was down for maintenance and it just happened to look like the most fun hole! We will definitely be back and hopefully play all holes! The center also has driving ranges and batting cages! We hope to be back soon and play another round of mini golf and also visit the cages! Say what? Batting cages, driving range and mini-golf all in the same place? "Is this heaven? No, it's Iowa." I mean, Laurel. Look, I don't come here for the batting cages. I don't come here to watch meatheads try to drive a ball into the woods. If I want to go to the driving range, I'll go to a golf course and hit off the grass. I come here for one reason, to kick my wife's butt at mini-golf. As a mini-golf course, this place is definitely acceptable. The holes have some flair and imagination and if you are smart enough, you can definitely cut some mini-golf corners (I'm looking at you hole 18). I'm not saying it is in great condition, as I'm sure there is a dead body in one of those brown ponds on the course. But I mean you are in Laurel, you are bound to find a body in any body of water, so big deal. Either way I'll be back, because there is nothing like listening to my wife say "redo" or "that doesn't count" seven times on any given hole. read more

$17 all you can hit? It used to be $15, but the economy affects even driving ranges after a certain period of time. The balls are Top Flite driving range balls (fairly new). They have a mini golf course. They have batting cages. Everything you'd expect from a driving range. The range ends at 240 yards. When you're a beast like me and can crush the ball past that range, it's kind of hard to see. But usually good visibility for everything else. The range faces away from the sun which is pretty good when the sun is setting. Kind of tough to see at night since they only have lights at the beginning of the range (can't see balls that go past 160 yards). So how many did I hit? 6 buckets (~500+ balls). Went miniature golfing here with the family on a hot sunny day. Luckily there were trees to shade us. The 18 hole course was well maintained but it could've used some sweeping on the turf. We had some interferance with tree bark and leaves. Also looked like the water could've used some cleaning. The putters and balls were in good condition and service was friendly. read more

I came here with some friends because we had a groupon coupon. There weren't a lot of people and so parking was easy as hell. The normal golf place had quite some people but mini golf was empty which was good for my friends and I. There were 18 holes, some harder then others. I mean it's mini golf so what can you expect? The mini gold area was quiet, had a pretty water river thing going on and was generally nice looking. The heat was unbearable though, so we sought refuge in the few trees there. I don't think I'll be coming back since I don't like golf, but I recommend this place to people who like quiet, simple mini golf places. read more

I can not say enough nice things about this place. We went here for the first time in June to check it out for our daughter's birthday party. The staff was super friendly, the cost was more than reasonable, and the greens were in much better shape than other mini golf places in the area. We did book the party there and I again have nothing but great things to say. The booking experience was fast and easy and the party itself was great. The staff again were very friendly and helpful, and the cost for a two-hour party for eight kids is AMAZING, especially with what is included. It is not fancy--two picnic tables under a semi-permanent tent structure, but so what? The kids were there for the batting cages and mini golf, not the tables. I see there are some negative reviews from a few years ago--if those were true, they have definitely made successful efforts to improve (new management or owner maybe?)--at any rate, my experience was not even close to those who had negative experiences. A previous reviewer said slightly worn....maybe that was an apt description a decade ago. Now it's full disrepair. Large chunks of carpet missing from the mini golf course. Water traps with trash strewn and filthy water. Pitching machines that break (the manager wouldn't even give another token, he said he'd send somebody who never showed up). Plus, the manager has a huge attitude. He wouldn't let us use a printed out Groupon because he said we'd use it twice. This place wasn't even worth the price of the Groupon. read more

This review is by someone who was not able to even use the services. This review will feature words so rarely used in the English language that I had to bring them out just for this occasion. They're marked by an asterisk. My wife and I decided to head to Laurel Golf Center on Friday, October 23rd. We were coming from DC (an hour away during the tail end of rush hour) and meeting another couple coming from Falls Church (also a bit more than an hour away). We arrived between 7:15 and 7:30 PM. Their hours POSTED on their website say they're open until 9:00 Pm. When we arrived, the shift manager, later identified by another employee as THE MANAGER, met us in the parking lot and informed us that "they decided to close us early" due to having no patrons at the moment. When I talked to an employee just moments later, he informed me that it was actually Craig that decided to close down early. This was sheer tomfoolerly*. I was furious because 1) We had come from a long way away and 2) When I checked the website earlier in the day, it said nothing about "call a few hours ahead of closing to let us know you're coming as we close if we do not have any patrons." Imagine if Target, open until 10PM on Fridays, decided to spontaneously close at 9:00 because they had no customers in the store at the moment. This store closing early was a travesty* and an injustice*. For that ineptitude* of management alone, I would suggest that anyone avoid this place like orange juice after brushing your teeth. read more

Came here on Friday night, with a party of 6 at 7:20pm. The place is advertised to close at 9pm so we thought we would get a solid hour and a half at the batting cages and putt putt golf. However, we were told on arrival they were closing at 8pm. Really unprofessional. We opted to do batting cages instead of both because of the time constraints. This is when things got super annoying. At least 4 of the roughly 8 or 9 batting cages were locked, assuming for being out of service. To top it off, one of the open cages was not pitching properly so we ended up wasting tokens. Will probably only returned because there is no other similar location nearby but they really need to step up their game read more

Terrible batting cages. 4 of the cages were locked on an 80 degree, sunny, June Saturday. Only the fast and "very fast" cages were open. And the ONE baseball cage marked SLOW, was anything but. More like 70mph. Told the girl behind the cashier. And was told "I don't know what to tell you." Asked for manager, she remained baffled...simply her head and resumed her chipotle. Granted she was a probably a clueless teen who really didn't know how to adjust speed, but avoid this place if you're looking to hit baseballs. Wouldn't go back if mngmt refunded me my $. read more

Best golf range in the area! The staff are always friendly. The staff actually play golf and pay attention to the condition of the range balls, mats and tees. The balls are changed every spring. Its $20 for all the large buckets you can hit. Most other ranges charge $10 for 1 large bucket of ~100 balls. read more
