I left my car there for 10 days and parked right in front of the building. The parking lot was full so there wasn't many spots to choose from. When I got back I noticed my car got damaged. enterprise's security cameras couldn't find any proof that my car was hit dispite being directly in front of the building. I'm currently filing a police report and hopefully I can get something figured out. If you're car gets hit in their parking lot, it doesn't really seem that they are trying to figure out what happened. I paid for the extra insurance and that doesn't cover your parked car. I'm personally never renting from this location again due to my car being hit and nothing being done about it. read more

We arranged our car rental through Orbitz, which had the best price for our specific needs. Picking up the car at the Eau Claire shop went very well. Andrew took care of us and was a delight. They did not have a car in our class available, so we were able to get a flashy new Dodge Challenger instead as a replacement. I was more than pleased! Part way through our hour long car-drop off experience I looked at Management Assistant Andrew and called the report he was compiling a "customer service nightmare." "That's important to know," he said like a programmed robot, "because here at Enterprise we strive for 100% customer satisfaction..." The script droned on for several more minutes. Much had been divulged already about Andrew's interests and an apparent feud between his location and the Minneapolis airport location. Adding extra intrigue, Enterprise at MSP airport was his former employer. "They send us damaged cars all the time," he explained in a self-congratulatory tone after taking me into the bitter cold to perform several optical field tests that would help me "see" what he was calling "hail damage" on the hood of the car. My wife had driven the car without incident during a hail-free week. Andrew took me down to eye-level like a golfer at the Masters to examine the contours of the hood. As I stared at the glints, reflections, and road salt, I started to contemplate our fate...being held liable for imaginary, not evident to the naked eye, "winter hail damage." But alas, the narrative was already written: eagle-eye Andrew had caught the "damage" and was awaiting accolades (a promotion?) from Enterprise Inc. He explained later that by catching the "damage" (and holding my family liable) he would ensure that Enterprise had maximum resale value for the car, and he could give some business to his buddies at the local auto body shop to boot. Once inside, Andrew began his take-down of the Minneapolis Enterprise employees: they work in a dark parking garage and unfortunately aren't as thorough as he is, as evidenced by all the damaged cars they send Eau Claire's way. Things seemed to have gone downhill since Andrew left their employ. This did not square with the excellent and personable customer service we experienced at the Minneapolis airport when we arrived after a late night flight. But I let Andrew continue. What was our possible recourse? A reasonable customer might assume that normal human empathy would shine through, but instead Andrew gave us the inside track on the mechanism that was to decide our fate: a cutting edge airport surveillance system. Multiple photographs were taken of our car upon exiting the airport, he explained. Then, as cold comfort, he assured me that I would be amazed at the level of detail that these high-tech cameras would render. That's right, the imaginary, not evident to the naked eye, winter hail damage would be either seen or not seen by the cameras at MSP and be "indisputable evidence" (Andrew's words). I was skeptical so I took the best technology I had at my disposal, my iPhone 11, to see if I could capture the evidence. My iPhone might not pass muster at the FBI but I REALLY pushed its limits trying to get a photo that would show some dings. I showed the photos to Andrew who agreed that I had come up empty but proceeded to nerd-out about auto body photographing techniques that involved reflections of telephone wires...I tuned out. James, the manager, who was playing buddy cop in Andrew's pursuit of justice for imaginary hail damage then agreed to capture photos using practiced techniques. When we pointed out that the contours appeared to be uniform and matching the hood lock underside, our common sense was dismissed. At this point my wife did the sensible thing and contacted the agent in Minneapolis who immediately apologized, said she would handle the alleged "damage" 100%, and seemed embarrassed by the whole ordeal. In short, thank god we didn't rent through these bizarro criminal cyborgs, but from an human being who could fix this. I'm sure they're sending our invisibly but "massively" damaged car out into the field again to scam other customers -- beware a gray Nissan Versa with Tennessee plates, a modern day Trojan horse that bears a dystopian "dent" nightmare inside! read more

Car was good and ready on time. However on returning my garage door opener was left behind and all they did was toss it in a lost and found with hundreds of other openers. Very disappointing they couldn't treat my property as well as I did there rental. They could have put a name or at least the vehicle it came from on it,, but nope now I have to spend my time to find my opener. Get a better system for lost property!! read more

I had multiple phone conversation with Eau Claire Enterprise, before driving an hour to be told they can't help me. I asked if I needed more than just a photo copy ID, they told me no. Rented a vehicle from June 2nd through June 9th. The rental was picked up at 9:00am on the 2nd. We rented this for a family vacation. It turns out your rental time on a vehicle is not the day you rent but also the time of day you pick the unit up. We did return the vehicle on June 9th but at 2:00am which now turns into another day of rental because it was not at there facility by the original pick up time. I wish this was made clear during the initial pick up of the vehicle. Cost of an extra $120 that was not planned. read more

This place is fine - assuming you don't have a problem - then good luck. We had an engine malfunction which made the car undrivable. Because of the Eau Claire location's limited hours we had to have a replacement brought from MSP. That took HOURS of phone calls over 2 DAYS. The customer reps gave inaccurate information and once things were sorted we were given NO updates on delivery progress, etc. The employees are pleasant but there is no system in place to resolve problems. read more

Enterprise Rent-A-Car Is THE SINGLE WORST place to rent a car from EVER!!! Not only will they not pick you up or take you home as they say they will in the commercials, they will use high pressure scare tactics to get you to purchase any and all the add-ons, AND if you are not paying attention to your agent while going over the car and the contract they will just check boxes without even asking you if you wanted those services. AND THEN when you call to complain about it, you get directed to another person who directs you to another person who directs you to another person who doesn't answer their phone or return their messages. AND Then when you DO Finally Get to speak to someone, They don't address ANY of the issues that YOU had been trying to address for a VERY long time, just the one issue that they had with you from your very last rental. Which Suddenly after a year, you owe an additional $350?? Really? Even though the Last time you Spoke with them that balance wasn't there. And they just kept blowing you off and still will not Address anything you have to say. Such customer service is extraordinary. I can't believe that people tolerate such treatment. First time I used this location. Everything went smoothly. I first received a car that had previously been used by a smoker. Took it back immediately and got a car that was better with just a few thousand miles on it. I returned the car to Enterprise at Milwaukee airport. Again everything went smoothly. Good price and was only charged $75.00 extra for a drop off fee at a different site than pick-up. With those rates, I would definitely use them again. read more
