They could have just called and informed that they didn't have a comparable vehicle, but instead they let me waste time and offered nothing to try and make it right. read more

Rented a car from this Enterprise in Austin and returned it with no visible damage. Days later, I was hit with a $1,600+ bill for "hail damage" that was only visible with special tools. I've repeatedly asked for timestamped photos, inspection reports, or weather data proving it happened during my rental. They provided nothing, just kept sending bills and form letters. This feels like a predatory scam targeting renters for pre-existing or unverifiable damage. I've filed a complaint with the CFPB and encourage others to document everything and beware of how they handle damage claims. I'll never rent from them again. read more

I made the reservation on line and followed up by calling an 800 number as provided to confirm reservation and ask about pick up from my home. When the pickup time came...no one showed up. I called the local branch and they said that they couldn't pick me up as I was too far. They also said " I should have called" which I actually did. I was unable to leave on time for my trip. If I had been told that I could not be picked up I would have made different reservations. The information here and confirmation was flat out a lie. After I provided feedback the branch worker tried to convince me ir was my fault. Save urself the agitation and DO NOT RENT FROM ENTERPRISE. They are actually the worst rental car company I have experienced. read more

I had to take my car into Charles Maund Collision Center. I needed a car while my car is in the shop. This is such a convenient place, it is literally across the way from Charles Maund. Enterprise was so sweet, they called me, and offered to pick me up. I guess if you are in a rush, have kids, and/or lazy, they will pick you up. The street between Charles Maund and Enterprise is a side street that has minimal traffic and well lit during the day, I did not feel unsafe. Plus Charles Maund guys are all outside and they are kind enough to keep an eye on the ladies. I arrived to Enterprise and was greeted and offered a seat while the associates were busy. Very polite staff. They did not have a car that my insurance covered, so they offered me to pay more. I said no and waited. After 15 minutes of calling, I was offered a car that was under my insurance pricing. The staff was very nice and walked me through the features of the car. I only noticed one minor stain on the shift control, but the car was clean compared to cars from other Enterprise locations. On return of my rental car, no problem. Again, the offered to drive me across the street to Charles Maund. I walked across. Nothing but great experience. If I ever need a rental, this is the location I will come. read more

just returned a car to the one on Research Blvd. I had the car with expired plates for 3 months due to an accident(not my fault). I was the accused of hail damage to the vehicle. I have a garage and told them that but they pressed forwar. pretty much telling me I'm a liar. there was a hailstorm, and if this car was outside in that hailstorm, all the windows would've been broken and there would've been extensive damage. There was just enough damage to the roof that no one would ever have noticed these tiny small dings. I was then threatened that they were going to charge me and put a claim in to their insurance company. they proceeded to try to charge my credit card $500. Does does anyone know what I can do about this atrocity they had me in tears. read more

Update: After leaving several voicemails for several different people and reaching out to Enterprise via social media, an employee by the name of Ryan was able to rectify the situation and took accountability for the actions of this branch. We were able to get the total reduced. UPDATE: seems like we were not the only ones that were PRESSURED and forced to opt in to coverage we did not need. There is a serious lapse in communication and accountability at this location. Insurance was all set to cover the rental with the exception of 4 days which would be around $125. But! As the car was being dropped off (in perfect condition) we were informed that we were misinformed the day we picked the rental up. First, the associate handling the pick up explicitly said that coverage was needed on the rental so we trusted that associate and opted in for it thinking we had NO choice (and later found out it's completely optional) so we were charged for something we were not supposed to under false pretenses. We also found that the associate didn't even give us the right information and charged the WRONG insurance type of the rental (again that we never needed but were told to opt in for). So today while dropping it off, they are telling us that their policy states all insurance on the rentals is optional but did not want to acknowledge the fact that one of their associates did not honor that policy and basically forced us to opt in on something we DID NOT NEED. Keep in mind that there is DIRECT communication between this enterprise branch and Allstate insurance(the company paying for the rental) so there should have been no problems or miscommunication on how the rental should be handled. The local branch refused to help in any way shape or form, was very passive aggressive and went as far as to lie about their not being a headquarters or corporate number for us to call to speak to someone who CAN help. Well we got the number for the Area manager and left a message because this situation is ridiculous and someone needs to take responsibility and rectify the whole situation. The total should be a little under $200 , now it is $500 for charges that are very arguable. We have absolutely no problem paying the correct amount owed but $500 is absurd. read more

I'm only giving this place a 4 star because the manager and Erica were amazing. However, the guys at this location severely need some help in customer experience. I had called earlier in the day to get my car switched out since my car was having serious issues. The guy told me he would check and see what they had, by that he meant he was going to put me on hold and then hang up on me instead. That made me not want to deal with them at all, but after calling 5 other locations in the area and no one had cars (even more extremely annoying with Enterprise itself after calling 6 locations 4 times each in two days) I was able to replace my car. I finally gave in and called back to see if they had any cars I could change my car in after giving up since all the other locations didn't have any cars. I called and got Erica, she was amazing! She was super helpful with the car selection and went outside to make sure they had the features in the car I needed (since I was getting a rental car since someone else hit my car and it was in the shop, I needed a car comparable to mine). She told me that her manager would figure out a solution for me when I got there and make sure it had everything I needed. When I got there the manager did indeed have a car picked out for me and it did have everything that I needed, however my customer representative was quite unpleasant. He was pretty rude when I was telling him my issues for swapping out the car, and then tried to charge me for it, when the car I was given in the first place had terrible brakes and alignment issues. He may have charged me for the gas as well, although I barely used the gas and only had it for a day. I'm conflicted on this location, since the guys there were completely awful, but the woman here were super helpful. read more

As I was being told that they would not accept my credit card I over heard another employee tell another customer that they would not have a vehicle available for their reservation for another two hours. These employees sound like they are reading off a script and laugh at customers amongst themselves as they did several times as I waited, not caring how obvious they were being. So, here's the positive. They provide clean cars and can usually get you in one, especially with a reservation. Here's the negatives. One. The upsell and pressure to buy their collision damage is tremendous. They aren't just satisfied with you declining the coverage - they demand to know why. Here's why. First, my car insurance (who's actually paying for this rental) recommends against it. Second, I have the same coverage through the Visa card you ran for the deposit. Next complaint. Dropping it off. The gentleman handling my return tells me he'll give me a ride as soon as he tells his manager. He then returns to tell me that his manager wants him to check in another car and he'll be right back. Then I'm left in the parking lot. Finally, another guy comes over to ask what I'm waiting for her. I tell him what just happened then he tells me the other guy is new and they're swamped, then the new person provides me a ride. Truthfully, it's not the end of the world had I known, but to be virtually abandoned was poor service. They provided a clean, late model car and had a great location, but that's about where it ends. read more

Do not fall for the insurance coverage scam! My car was being serviced by Charles Maund next door. Charles Maund graciously footed the bill for a rental from Enterprise but told me, "you don't need to get the Enterprise insurance coverage." Enterprise rep claimed he didn't know if Charles Maund would cover damage or not. Yes you do, buddy. Needed rental for only three hours. In the end Charles Maund was not charged for three hour rental, yet I was still charged for collision coverage. Watch out for the sneaky upsell my friends. read more

Ugh. I used to rent a lot of cars for work. All from Enterprise. It was usually a fairly decent experience. Not this time. The customer service was pretty abysmal. They need a phone number. Ok, here it is. We need a second phone number. Sorry, I don't have one. Sir, we cannot proceed without a second phone number. Sorry, I am retired and don't have one. Again, we cannot proceed. Sigh. Me-There is a scratch on the car. I would like it notated. Them-That's not a scratch. Me-Well, it is a scratch and it is about 6 inches long. Them-We cannot document that. Me-It pretty clearly qualifies under your guidelines; let's just make a note. Them-We cannot document any damage. You can take a photo if you like. Sigh. Manager gives me the same routine. We switch cars. Now they only have minivans. Ok, fine. And they both smell like smoke. And only have 1/2 tank of gas. Sorry guys. Hertz for me from here on out. I've had countless mediocre to bad experiences renting cars from various rental companies. Surprisingly, this was a good experience. I needed a rental for a week while mine was repaired and Enterprise came through for me. They picked me up at the body shop, processed my order and had me on my way in ~30 minutes. The person I dealt with (Adam, I think?) was friendly, prompt and professional. Returning the car was just as easy as picking it up was. Nice folks. DeMarcus, a very polite and entertaining guy with Enterprise, picked me up at a body shop where our car was being repaired. He was right on time which was impressive. Have I ever mentioned that my husband was 30 minutes late to our wedding rehearsal? Why do people rehearse a wedding? I don't get it. Why did I agree to rehearse mine, more importantly? Anyway, I've digressed more than enough. Matt, who I originally spoke with was funny and helpful, reassuring me they would put me in a new Corvette, but he must have been crossing his fingers. I have not rented a car in years but these folks made it painless. Crystal "talked me through" the fact that I would be covered if I needed the car longer. The car as promised was a "full size". A white Chevy Impala. I'm not really a Chevy girl but I put 98.1 on the radio and galloped down the highway with it. They were thoughtful enough to wash and vacuum it before I took off. Nice folks. Returned my Enterprise rent a car at El Paso Airport, and could not believe they had no help for a handicap person to get their luggage to the terminal. The employee who checked in the car told me I could call Southwest and ask for wheelchairs Assistance from the south west, but told me he could not provide me with the number or any other help. He told me I could get a luggage cart from the terminal, and bring it back, to load my luggage on. I told him it was not likely I could walk that far and back, and I did not even know what to think about the idea of leaving my luggage sitting on the driveway while I trecked over and back to get the cart... I wasn't having any luck getting my phone to connect to Southwest, The reception in the parking garage wasn't that great. Someone finally left the cart nearby and the employee brought it over for me and help me put my luggage on it. I can walk but not very far and pushing a cart was very painful, but I finally made it to the terminal. The entrance was next to the rental places and the girl at the enterprise rental counter had no customers, so I asked her that since I was a enterprise customer,if she could help me by making a call to Southwest, if she could help me by calling for my wheelchair help. She said she was not able to do that. I sat down to rest And try to figure out how to contact someone for the wheelchair help, but didn't have any luck. The 10 minutes I sat there the clerk had no customers whatsoever, I couldn't believe she couldn't help make a phone call. We rented a car here about month ago while my car was in the shop next door. We made a reservation a week before and when we arrived we had to wait at least 45 minutes for our rental. When they showed us the car I noticed immediately that it wreaked like an ashtray. We had previously asked for a nonsmoking vehicle (I have a baby and 5 year old). Obviously, this wasn't going to work for us, so I asked if they could give us something else. We waited another 30+ minutes while the employees kept asking me if I "needed" help, while no one seemed to be helping me at all. I kept asking if anyone knew what was going on and no one has an answer for me. It was ridiculous. Many other customers were walking in and leaving before me and my children. It was infuriating. When we were finally given a second vehicle it smelled like a wet dog and had pet hair all over it. At that point, I had been waiting so long that I said "screw it" and took the dang thing. If this wasn't bad enough, they stole my credit card information and used it to buy an iPad at best buy. I know this because I never use the card I had given to them to make the reservation. This location is full of a bunch of thieving nimrods. Take your business elsewhere. read more

When I first walked in, they did greeted me and asked me what do I need. The lady told me they don't have any car right now, and the only car they have is a truck. SHE told me I can wait and they may find a car for me at other locations. Then I waited. They were busy, ok, but I sat there for 30 minutes without any follow ups. I made a reservation with hertz a day ago. The only reason I made the reservation was cause it was conveniently located near to my house. When I get to the place to pick up the car I had a really bad experience with the manager so I drove to this location (20 minutes away from I live) hoping for a better outcome. When I walk in I'm welcomed by a smiling face named Andrew! He didn't hesitate to help. Within 30 minutes I walked out with a better and cheaper deal then before. Everything went seamlessly. Needed a car while mine was being repaired. Steve picked me up from the body shop and drove me to their office. He was really nice (cute too, but alas, wedding ring...). The conversation was easy and not forced as it usually is in these situations. As a matter of fact, I felt that way with all the employees there. The entire office staff was very open and friendly, but not so much that they weren't also incredibly efficient. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars from me is because when I didn't want the first car they offered me (a really big pick up truck that I would have surely destroyed in my parking garage downtown) it took almost 15 minutes to get another one. So really that's partly my fault, but the truck would've been more money out of my pocket per day also (over what insurance covered). The car I ended up with was new-ish, clean and ready to go. Repairs didn't take as long as expected so I dropped the car back off early. They put the money back on my credit card and hurried me to the body shop before it closed for the evening. Steve even stuck around to make sure my ride was ready before ditching me at the shop, just in case. Over all service from this office was the friendliest I've had anywhere from a rental service and also as efficient. Definitely glad my insurance sends me to them, and glad they were my closest location! read more

This is a convenient location for those in North Austin and I live right near the area. The cars seem to be always clean and there are some available. One problem I faced is that the class of car I picked online was already fully booked by other customers. It was a busy holiday week and I even got there pretty early. It seems that everyone else got there right when they opened and snatched all of them. The associates ended up getting me a vehicle from someone who was turning one in right after I stepped in, which was about 10-15 minutes later. No problem at all. Another issue I had is that they charge you an extra day for holidays that they are closed on, because you can't turn in the car that day. There is a key drop box, but it is pointless for those days because nobody is going to empty it until the next business day. This seems to be an issue with all car rental companies, so I can understand why the business does this but it is a bummer if you are planning to return your vehicle around the holidays. That must be why the rates are lower around that time... The staff was friendly and tried to work with me as much as possible. I wasn't in the best of moods after mishaps getting the car and on the trip, but they still accomodated me the best they could. read more

My job takes me all over the state of Texas, and for the long routes I pick up a rental car, sometimes every week. This enterprise has become my go to location because of its staff. They are always very friendly, well-prepared, and they have always made sure I have exactly what I need. I do wish enterprise had expanded hours, but that has nothing to do with this location. I also wish they had a night drop, but that is also a companywide policy issue. If you need to rent a car, I would recommend renting one from this enterprise location. Drop off is fast and hasslefree, the staff is always friendly, and I've never had a problem with any of the actual vehicles I have used. read more

I had an expired license, and she not only gave me a ride to the DPS but picked me up, and upgraded my rental for free as a nice gesture since my day had been chaotic. She was clear, concise, and worked with me on every matter I needed. Thank you so much Allison! When one came available they took the keys back away from me and took the car around back to clean it ( which should have already been done). Leigh and Crystal were super helpful and accommodating. They picked me up and had me back to my apartment in the Domain within 30 minutes. Leigh was able to find an awesome Ford Edge (probably the coolest Ford since the mustang) with plush leather/satellite radio/the works and worked with me to ensure that the charges would be feasible for the eons it took the auto body shop to repair my Passat. I have been to at least 5 different Enterprise locations in Austin and the service is generally good, but Leigh and Crystal really went above and beyond. I had family visiting, so by the time I returned my rental car I was completely scatterbrained and told them the wrong repair shop to drive me to. By the time I figured it out, she was long gone and I thought I was stranded and would never make it to work on time. I changed my review from one star to two, just because they are making it right. One bad apple over there it seems. I appreciate them correcting things, but it sure was a PITA from Thursday through today (Monday morning). Thanks to Mike for his help and putting an end to this. Crook! Watch out for Thomas at store # 6541. Trust me, you DO NOT want to let these guys have your CC#. Thomas calls me after 11 days to "ask if I still want the extra ins" and says "we need more money". When I picked up the car they assured me they only need to run my card for $50 to cover gas (if I bring back empty) and said otherwise there was no charge (since it was an ins claim that is paying for the rental). They also asked for my insurance to cover the car (which I provided). Turns out, Thomas never took time to explain anything regarding "wavers" (what they call their superfluous insurance they want to tack on that you don't need). I was there for 45 minutes while he ignored me after checking in and him running my card. They finally got a car after a LONG wait and he pulls up w/the car running, door open and says "just sign here and you're good to go". It was bright sunny (hard to read the contract) and I just signed where he said and left. Turns out, he tricked me into signing a contract to pay an extra $14 a day for their insurance. When I called in to ask he just kept repeating "you signed the contract" over and over. Again, I already gave them my State Farm policy that they asked for (full coverage covering rentals too). I still have the car...why the cold-call after 11 days asking for "more money". They already ran one surprise $64 charge on my card I am disputing. Why bill me randomly in the middle of the lease when it's not even "check out" time yet? Really fishy. Andrew at another location today was really nice and helpful and gave the the DM's phone # and stopped the charges from this day on (took ins off), but I will have to fight to remove the previous 12 days ($14 a day, which is $168 - plus god knows however else much they attempt to steal from me). If I have to go all the way to Pam Nicholson, I'll go that far. BBB too if not made right this week. This is WRONG. Clearly planned, deceptive, trickery, stealing. read more
